Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Aww, nice youch that he's helping Neville. I am glad that you're going to restore them, hopefully - I don't think I have read any fics with this in.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, I dont read much beside SS/HG stories so didn't know if someone had done it. :)
ACK!! where is chapter 37? there needs to be more. hopefully soon? ive really enjoyed this story so far. :D
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, I'm down loading them as soon as I can. The story is pretty much written just tweeking the chapters to enhance them just before submitting them. 37 is in the Queue, hopefully it will be up soon.
I'm so elated that Severus is accepting the part of his psyche that Raven represented. Combining his magic with Hermione's has to be such a spiritual feeling, like blending part of his soul with hers. He's letting her in more and more now. It can only help him in the end. Three cheers for the Longbottoms getting out of their curse induced prison. Neville will finally get to know his parents! I hope they will be well enough to attend his and Luna's wedding. That would be so fantastic! Now to see how everyone does before trying to recover Harry. Excellent chapter! :D

Rosered, I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter. Severus is becoming a lot of what Raven was, a powerful wizard with a kind heart.I'm so happy every one liked the Neville story that begged to be told. There is still a lot for severus to deal with in the next two chapters. It nearly time for the diary :)Thank you so much.

Hey I miss your reviews, did yoou give up on my story :)
Response from rosered (Reviewer)
No, Sweetheart, still recuperating from surgery. I'll be back in full force by the beginning of December, then look out! lol Thanks for thinking about me! Hugs, Rosered
Oh, so glad the spell worked! And with Hermione's help, he was able to do it. And he recognizes that. Now he just needs to remember Raven. Oh, and heal Harry of course. I'm sure he'll need her even more for that. How do you find love for a person you've hated for forever?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
With forgiveness comes love. We are getting closer to the Diary and memories, I think its ch 38.Thank you for the review.
that was really great. i can't want for more.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
Yay!! I'm glad Alishus turned out to be not quite a jerk. Of course Severus would have a tough time singing of love to someone he didn't love -- totally understandable -- and I am very glad indeed that Hermione was there to encourage Severus with the singing. Thanks for the update!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I'm glad you liked him. I don't much like writing bad guys :) I'm pleased that you liked the chapter, the next ones in the Queue.
Wonderful chapter, absolutely wonderful!!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, we are getting closer to the diary :)
Im not sure which I am more pleased about the Longbottoms or Grendel. A lovely chapter
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
:) Thank you, you know the Grendel thing just occured to me right then. I had no pplans when I invented him to do that.
I loved seeing Neville's parents restored to him--when his mother Alice mentioned that she had been aware all those years but couldn't say anything, it just broke my heart. I'm sure Neville is doubly glad that he kept visiting over the years and talking to them now. And how interesting that Severus and Hermione seem to share an empathic link with one another. Has this even dawned on him yet? Certainly something to think about!Maybe seeing how an old rival of his changed and became a better man will give Severus confidence that he can and will do the same. And maybe it will also let him see people like Harry with new eyes, as well.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I'm so glad you enjoyed that. I hate that part of the story. Neville was a hero too in the story and deserves some happiness as well :) Not sure it's empathic, but love for him with legilimency. They have shared thought before during love making :)He has some thing to face before he can deal with Harry
I liked the way you introduced the old battle between Alishus Davenport and Severus, and then revealed that the Healer had long ago come to understand that Severus was a good man and had saved the lives of his wife and children during a Death Eater attack. I thought is was a very clever way to let Severus see that people had really come to understand that he was a good and courageous wizard who had labored long and hard to bring about the downfall of the Dark Lord. Very nicely done, m'dear! But you didn't stop there, you let us see how Healer Strout had enormous confidence in Severus and his abilities. She trusted him and was sure that what he had told them was accurate. She is another person who holds him in high esteem. Seeing Neville's parents restored to him was so sweet. The few things he and his father were able to share before he drifted off to sleep brought tears to my eyes. And when his mother told him that she had watched him for years even though she couldn't respond to him because of the curse was so moving. I can imagine how a mother would feel at that moment.I loved it that Severus took himself and Hermione back to his lair where they would be safe and quiet while he gained back his strength. He was exhausted and knew that being close to Grendel would help him recover. And I think it will give him and Hermione time alone to talk about all that has happened and to prepare for healing Harry.Severus has begun to admit to her just how important she is to him, and he even allowed her to see how much Grendel had to do with his surviving the war. He has admitted that he needs these good things in his life: “I can’t really live without him or you, Hermione.” Yes! Yes! Yes! Great chapter, Jeannie.Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks Beth, I thought I answered this one already but its still here. I'm glad you liked The Healers reactions to Severus. They are profesionals and I wuld hope they would appreciate a well educatio self sacrificing ex-spyI'm so glad the Neville story was so well received. His story had always seemed so tragic to me.Yes, Severus is becoming a bit more like Raven everyday but also remaining a strong wizard. He's not as afraid to show himself as he was earlier. Hermione is there for him now. Thanks Beth
Jeannie
Glad to see the experiment worked on the Longbottoms. Bonus on Severus revealing that he needs Hermione!

Oh, wow! The Longbottoms back? How delightful- your Neville warms the cockles of my heart, he does. Scared, weirded-out, hopeful, shocked Neville just does me in. Looking forward to the next chapter,Livi

Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked Neville, He had a rough life and it occured to me I could improve it in my sotry :)
Aw, what a great blessing it would be if Neville had his parents back. Hope it works!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
:) I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter, stay tuned :) new chapter up soon.
Lovely chapter! What a wonderful gift to give Neville! This new and improved Severus really knows how to make my heart do flip flops. I really admire him for offering to try and improve the quality of life for Alice and Frank. He's come a long way. :D
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I'm so glad you liked that. It's always bothered me that with all their knowledge and magic that they couldnt find a way to improve Neville's parents lives. What a tragic life for him. JKR seems to like the idea of homeless or parentless children. Did she have parents I wonder? Tom Riddle, Hagrid, Neville, Harry and then Teddy. Horrible thing to do to so many children in this story. Raven is really changing severus and making Severus happy for the first time in his life.
Oh how wonderful for Neville and his family. I am so proud of Severus!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful thought. What a wonderful gift - a way for Severus to right one of the wrongs done by the Death Eaters to a young man who courageously fought a world that seemingly wanted only to see him suffer.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, I really appreciate your thoughts aboutt he story. Neville deserved some happiness :) I do hope that we can get the rest of the chapters up as quickly as possible.
