Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Thank you, I wrote a new chapter this week. but still 9 from here. I had never written the Grendel meets the gypsies so I did that and added it in :)
So now they can all mov forward with their lives. :)

Glad that's all out in the open. Is her parents' home still standing and vacant? Between that place and Spinner's End, the Grangers' home is bigger and probably newer. I think all of them need a quiet place where the press won't find them, wherever that might be. Oh wait, Grendel's place! Thanks for updating!

Thank you, I don't remember if I left the house standing. I thought I'd torched it but maybe that was the other story??? Its been so very long since I read the first part of Raven.
Wonderful! Harry is saved and Severus remembers everything. I'm sure he has found a sense of peace with eveything that has gone on. Hermione no doubt, helps with that.

Oh, my! What a wonderful read. To have him finally free and whole again must have been enormously satisfactory to Hermione. And, then, to know that Lily wouldn't stand between them again would only bring joy. His acceptance and reaction to Hagrid made me laugh and then smile fondly. I look forward to hearing Harry's reaction to their story, and hope that part is planned. Sara

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed him finally coming together. It was a very long haul but I wanted tot ake him step by step. Have him realise he loved Hermione before finally remembering and being set free, He needed to know that he, Severus, was loved as much as Raven.The next chapetr takes pkace in Harry's room :) Hope you enjoy it.

It just keeps getting better and better...this was great! Severus and Hermione's happiness, everyone imaginable stuffing themselves somehow into Harry's hospital room, the pandemonium when he awoke, and the final line, "When did that happen?" 
I feel all warm and fuzzy after this one, and I'm sorry that it's going to end soon (yeah I know nine chapters is quite a bit, but still...). Great work, and I'm already waiting for the next chapter!

I know what you mean, I hate to end it as well. I do have plans to write a short Christmas chapter. But so far it has only one scene playing out in my mind. I'm glad so many of you liked the chapter and the big family type reunion that took place there. Harry was a means to the adventure but Severus and Hermione are the focal point so we will continue to follow them on their journey to happiness.Thanks so muchJeannie
I am so happy that Eileen Snape was finally able to do something wonderful for her son. I can imagine the fear and trepidation she would have felt as she was placing her most important memories in the beads. She had to have known that her days were numbered, and she wanted more than anything to help her son. It was the beautiful and loving act of a mother who knows she has one last opportunity to help her son salvage his life and to redeem her soul.
“I’m truly, truly free, Hermione. You cannot fathom how light I feel. I have never felt so free, so loved, and I’ve never looked so forward to my future in my entire life. My mother’s final gift gave me my life back." I doubt that Eileen could have known that she was giving Harry Potter his life back, as well. The entire Weasley clan and the Longbottoms, Minerva and Hagrid were there to welcome Harry back.
I can't wait to see how this story evolves. How will Hermione want to remodel Spinners End? When will they get married? Will Severus will allow Grendel to remain with the Gypsies when he takes him to visit? Perhaps that would give the empath a better life.
Let the fun begin. Thank you for such a wonderful chapter with a great ending! I love it!

I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter, I'm glad the story line presented itself to me. I don't often plan much of a story it just occures to me as I go along. I just realized that Severus might not be able to face a future ith out letting go of a past, and his mother and Lily were the factors that ruled his past dissapointments.Yes, now the fun begins. Harry was never to be the forcal point of the story. Bringin him back was just a vehicle to get them from place to palce. The important part was learning to forgive and accept love in his present and future.

They heard Harry exclaim as he caught sight of the couple, “When did that happen?”LOL, very nice and light chapter. A bit of a break from the slight heaviness of the past couple of chapters. Can't wait to see what happens next!
