Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Too bad the first attempt didn't work. I'm glad he can repeat it. Hermione has the right idea. He needs to forgive himself and let go of the past. I hope he finds what he needs in what she's given him.I did enjoy, if that's the right word, their closeness as he fell apart. It was nice to see him trust her so much that he let his worst emotions show.

Excellent chapter. It's a shame that Severus had a impasse with Harry's healing. It just wasn't the right time. If first you don't succeed... Hermione is right, Severus needs to face his past to get on with his future, not only for Harry's sake, but for his own sake as well. My feelings would have been hurt by the comment of not having an anchor, so I can imagine how much restraint Hermione used to tamp down her emotions and offer him the solution to his troubles. :D

As much as I want to see this all play out, uh yesterday, I'm glad this story isn't having a quick resolution.

Thank you, I wanted to take time in merging them. There was a lot of changing and growth for Severus to go through.
Will Hermione stop calling him sir now that they are peers?OH HELL I knew she would slip and call him Raven. I actually winced. I hope he wont hold it against her for too long. Heh.

That was a kick in the head wasn't it. It makes me wince too. She will eventually, she's trying to give him respect and become his friend at this point.
Praise to Minerva for attempting to focus Severus in the right direction ie towards Hermione! I got goose bumps with this line "She sacrificed Raven for you!"

That was a good first step for Severus. He still has a lot of skelotons in his closet to sort out.I'm glad you liked it :)

Once again you've given us a fine chapter where Severus and Hermione are making wonderful progress in their relationship. When she helped him find the love in her heart for him, he was able to sing the healing love song perfectly. And he realized that he loved Hermione. Making love with their minds shared the whole time must have brought back of his life with Hermione as Raven. I hope so. I want them to be together, together in love!!!Good chapter!Beth

Things for Severus go up anf down like a roller coaster ride. he thinks he's figured it out and then somehting else make shim doubt himself. But he's getting closer to finding himself.Thanks Beth,Jeannie

Well he's coming to terms with some of his feelings but there is still so much to go through. But he is making progress and Hermiones will be there for him.Thanks so much.
What a tremendous breakthrough, both for completing the spellsong and for Severus himself. There will probably be more bumps on the road ahead for him, but I think the really hard work has been done now. Perhaps now that he has accepted Hermione's feelings for him, his subconscious will allow himself to begin remembering what he went through as Raven.Loving Harry...hmm. We know he loves the memory of Lily which lives inside Harry, but he has also resented the memory of James within Harry as well. Severus will have to allow himself to truly see Harry as his own separate entity, I think, and not as a shadow of either James or Lily. Look forward to see what happens next!

You have some good insight there. They have made progress but there is still ups and downs and as you sya bumps in the road. Loving Harry is difficult, but it also means loving himself ad he's not really there yet. He's got to believe in himself and Hermione too. Theres a long ways to go. I'm so glad you liked the chapter another ones in the Queue.

That was incredibly beautiful. And I'm so happy for Hermione. Yes, love can hurt, but the pain can be so freeing. And the music thing is lovely. I am currently listening to my 10 month old son sing random syllables to the cats. There certainly is power in music.

Your right love can hurt as wel and there is so much more for severus to work out before he can be whole again.What a nice picture of your child. Enjoy every minute they grow to fast. I have nieces and nephews and now bunches of greats each one is precious.

Lovely chapter! The ending was so sweet. I'm intrigued as to how you will develop from here if you have enough chapters for that many updates. Again, him struggling with his feelings was palpatable.
