Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

I'd say they found a clue. Is it an anagram? I'm trying to figure it out.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I don't think so just letters specially marked to give them a message.
This was an exceptionally revealing chapter. We got to see how being in each others presence brings a sense of peace and security to both Raven and Hermione. It is difficult for him to put the revelations of the memories into perspective without the complete background he would have if he had his full memory back, so he feels that his mother was weak, and he struggles to understand how she could have loved him so much if she couldn't bring herself to stand up to his father. In time he will understand more. Perhaps there are more things preserved in his mother's memories that he will need to know... someday. The cryptic that Severus had left in the book about Voldemort is the first real clue they have found. It sounds as though the magical ink used to make the mark is what channeled the Dark Lord's power to control those who took it. Very interesting.Great chapter!!!Beth

Your wonderful anylysis makes me feel each chapter is well planned :) truth is it all sorts of flys out and I write it down. I love writing. I seldom go back and rework something very exstensively (sp?)
Glad you like the dark mark thing. It going to take them on a big adventure :)
Thanks so much.
I like your story so much... Probably, I have said that for 1000 times already :) OK...
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
No problem I could probably hear it 1000 times :) thanks so much.
A great chapter. The glimpse of the past was heart-breaking and felt very realistic. The explanation that it's the ink of the Mark that held a punishment for a traitor makes a lot of sense. Voldemort would have something like that built into the Mark. :)One small error I noticed is that you confused "to lay" and "to lie" a few times. "He laid there" should be "He lay there". You may want to correct that.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you for the thoughts and for the info about the words I will run that by the ladies that correct the chapters. I'm not sure I cna change something with out their permission.
Thank you so much for the update. I think I have said so before, but I am falling quite hard for your Raven and your plot. A wonderful story and I look forward to read more!!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I'm so glad you like Raven. I wish I had the talent to draw him. I'm enjoying writing the story so much and I hope that when we get to the end it will be satisfying to all of us.More up soon.
Oh clever way to give the reason for his memory loss. Interesting way to hide the 'code'. Hope it helps Raven somehow.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
They will soon begin their journey for answers. Thanks so much :)
Oh, wow! It wasn't just the bite, it was the Dark Mark itself! Poor guy, having to see such a terrible childhood. Can't imagine he'd want to be that man again. Their feelings are very tender and wonderful.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
It is a long road to follow yet. I wouldn't want to be Severus again either. But then we all love Severus don't we LOL
Thanks so much,
Argh, to short. Really great chapter though. Looking forward to the next.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Sorry, but thanks should have another one up soon.
oh, no..... Voldy's power stole Severus' mind? or just his memories? that was a kind explanation that Hermione gave about why his mother didn't fight back against her husband. I just wish Hermione would let him finish a meal before talking to him about stuff that upsets him; they both need to regain their strength and health. thank you for the new chapter!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I'll have to keep that in mind. Sorry. Glad you enjoyed it.
Oh, I love where this is headed! He trusts her a great deal to want her to be with him when he sees the memories.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Yes he does. I think right now Hermione is the only pleasant thing in his life. Thanks :)
what a perfect place to hide a memory! great update. thanks so much
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Your welcome glad you liked it :)
i think hermione described snape perfectly. i hope that raven and snape merge as on rather than one forgetting the other. wonderful update! thanks so much
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I hope they do too. Thanks so much for your kind words.
This is neat. I like the idea of the touch charms. Snape would be prepared. But who can blame Raven for not wanting to be Snape?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks, I wouldn't want to be either.
Excellent idea about something being hidden in a journal or in the house to return his memory. Snape did seem to be the kind of person to consider every possibility and have a contingent plan.Livvy
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, glad you are enjoying it, there is a lot to reveil there and just stories to tell.

Nice tension between needing to regain Snape's power and retain Raven's humanity - excellent chapter - thanks so much!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, glad ou are enjoying it.
Poor guy, who would want to be Snape again? :)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Surely not Raven. :)
This continues to be a sweet, gentle story with the slow build-up of feelings - I'm loving how things are progressing between these two!'Raven' seems very worried that he is so different to 'Severus' but I think the truth is that his current personality is part of the real Severus; the two are interchangeable - 'Raven' being the side that Severus never allowed himself to be. I think it may be less worrying than I originally thought for him to get his memory back!I look forward to more of this interesting story! :-)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you for all your thoughts. I thik you may have something there. I just hope Severus realizes that LOL.
Glad yoou are enjoying it.
Brilliant update as always:-))

Bows low....thanks so much
I just found this story tonight, and got so engrossed reading that I was just now shocked to hear the clock strike and realize it's 4 am! Gads! But it's well worth it, to get to enjoy this intriguing tale! Like your other reviewers, I'm eager to see whether he will become "Snape" again, remain "Raven", or somehow integrate the two---and where Hermione will fit into his life as he does. Looking forward to more!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks so much. I can't imagine something I wrote would keep someone reading half the night. What a compliment. Thank you so much.
OOhh, well done Hermione for not snogging his face off!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
LOL, well not yet :)
Once again, you have me on the edge of my seat!If he forgets I am going to hit him..lol. 5 out 5 again.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I think I will too LOL, we will have to wait to see. Thanks so much
A wise choice to make a 'record' of him. Hopefully he won't need it. I think it would be easier for him to actually remember this man. In any case, he will know who he was for that time. I can't blame Hermione for being wary. Everything could definitely go south if he comes back and hates her once again.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I've heard of stories where they fnally remember their lives and forget the "new" person they have become. Sometimes bit and peices come back after time:)
Keep reading, Thanks
Great chapter, I love the way this story is being told.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much. Glad you are enjoying it.
I am going to be so bummed if Raven loses his Raven memories when he returns to being Snape. hopefully, she can make a Pensieve to help show him some Raven times. I wonder who is going to show up first.... thanks for the new chapter!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
your very welcome, we will both have to see. It's not written yet :)
