Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.
Reviews for Raven
Eileen kind of bothers me here. I agree with Severus, what kind of mother asks that of her son. But I can see Hermione's point that she loved him. Oh, well. That was a good chapter.

Though I've never lived through an abusive situation, I have seen movies etc. It seems common for the women to totaly give up their identity and follow what the man says even though they might be capable of fighting for their freedom. She is in a sick situation. Thanks, :)
Holy,What a sick childhood.Poor Sev.Can't wait for the next chappy.

I think we can more understand why Severus was such a loner and so introverted. Why he was so angry all the time. His life was hell. Thank you posting it tonight, should be validated in 3-4 days.
I felt so sorry for Raven when he viewed this next memory. It has to be extremely frightening to think of the things he might see, and seeing them makes him both angry and sad. He had to have great courage to make the decision to view the memories. Thank goodness he has Hermione to help him deal with the aftermath. It was a blessing that he was there to stop her from waking from her nightmare and running helter-skelter through the darkness of the cave. There is no telling what would have happened to her.Together they make a formidable team, and together they can work through the problems they encounter as they pursue their quest to rid Severus of the curse that Voldemort put on him through the Dark Mark he bears and to help Harry recover from the problems he suffers as a result of the connection he shared with the Dark Lord. This chapter hinted at the struggles they have ahead of them once Raven remembers all of Snape's memories: “You are the only good thing in my life. I promise never to hurt you.”Hermione pressed herself against him. She knew he might not be able to keep that promise, but it was good to hear.Hopefully their love for each other and their determination to be together will give them the strength they will need to overcome the problems they will face.I really liked the description of the cave they found, and I did a little on-line searching to learn more about the marvelous caves in the area they are searching. Nice work!Beth

Thank you I'm glad you felt so much for Severus. I wanted people to see why he's so bitter and hateful as an adult yet he has that heart of gold in the sacrifices he made for Lily and Harry.
I'm glad you like the way I have been writing this story so much. I really appriciate your long reviews. I am worried I won't be able to fulfil everyones expectations.
This story has been a joy to work on. I may have to do some special holiday shorts in the future :)
Another great update, it is always a joy to find a new chapter to this story:-))
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much, i]I'm trying to get a new one up at least once a week.
How big are those caves? Sounds like wonderland down there! :)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I've been in a few caves and they are wonderous. They can extent for a long ways.
sad, so sad. such a painful life. if it wasn't for harry he'd be better off living as raven. wonderful update. thanks so much
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Severus is a tragic character. So much sacrificed and no thanks.
I think he should stay Raven, too. Now why did Harry have to be injured and need his help, darn him LOL.
Thank you for reading
she watched the young woman soothe and heal the older man with her love That is just the most perfect line. Its exactly what she is doing with her love!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it. I appreciate your comments.
Poor Hermione. It must feel awful to know that helping Harry may result in losing the Raven personality.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Yes, it is, hard for both of them. than so much for reading and reviewing.
wonderful update. thanks so much
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
You very welcome :)
Very nice, I liked Raven's admission about how Minerva felt like a mother.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, I'm glad you liked that. I'm a sucker for soft scenes.
He should tell Minerva. That was sweet.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you maybe he will some time. Mind if I borrow that Idea?
Response from blue artemis (Reviewer)
No, not at all, borrow away!
I love that they are sharing this journey together and I also like the fact that they are quite happy that their relationship has been noticed. I imagine that they are going to need all the strength they can get from their shared new-found love in the upcoming chapters! :-)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank, glad you are enjoying it. Yes I think your right, they will need eachother.
I anticipate greatly the upcoming journey! Mountains... Romania... What a setting for them!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I hope I'm up to your expectations. I'm getting quite crazy trying to keep it all straight LOL.
Glad you like the story so much.
Thank you! I need another Ravin chappy to make my day!!! I am glad Hermione isn't tell Ravin too much abut his past. He may not want to change back. Great as always 5 out of 5.I give it more if I could.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I think he's already very reluctant to go through with it all but he knows its necessary. Thanks so much for such a high rating, I appreciate it :)
yipes. all the work involved on finding the cave and it may not even have ANYTHING of use to them. yet they have to find it. I wonder if they can get help from Romanians wizarding community -- show them the Pensieve memory of the cave (if any). thanks for the new chapter!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Interesting observations too bad I didn't think of that :) Glad you enjoyed it.
I hope the memories he left will help him and be a comfort to him.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I think the one will be. Not sure Severus is capable of making anyone feel good. Maybe he just wants them to know important info for their journey to be a success. Thanks for the review.
I was so hopeing that he'd remember more. Ah well. Two is a good start. A box of memories, eh. Good choice. And Minerva will help get them started on their journey. Willl they see all the memories bfore leaving or just a few? When a patient wakes up from Anesia, there is confusion. That who they are has to meld with that which they had been. It's a difficult time. Some revert back, some do not. coma patients that wake up and have slow recall also experience this, but Raven has a totally different personality than Snape had. It will be interesting to see how you handle it.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I don't think hes' able to remember more because of the spell that is preventing him. The fact that he finds anything familiar is kind of a miracle. They will see some of the memories. I'm finding it hard to keep all the details in my head when writing something new and I keep haivng to go back and adjust things. Guess thats something else the journal ugh... I do expect that Severus will have some difficulty integrating what Raven is and was. We will see. It's not yet written :) It will be interesting lol. I hope I'm up to it, thnaks for the review
It was so very like Severus to have stored his memories and left a journal to help him regain his memories. The moss sample may turn out to be an important clue in finding the right cave. I can't wait to see how this journey turns out. Thank you for a great update!Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
It helped them narrow down the areas. Severus left them a journal of the caves that he had mapped out and had yet had a chance to explore. So far its been fun, I hope people will enjoy it.
Jeannie
At least Severus had planned well in advance! :)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
If Severus is anything he's a survivor. I'm sure he thought of everything. His life had to be lived by taking in to account tiny details just to stay alive :)
i loved the way you wrote albus...would that he was like that. this was a superb update. thanks so much
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
You know I think the first Albus was like that. I just have never liked the new one. The first one had just a wonderful gentle twinkle in his eyes. Of course the books make Albus harder as time goes on. I think they all had to do things they didnt want to.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks
Ah, the journey. I take it that this will be part 2 of the story? This is fun. I'm glad you are sharing it with us.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I finished chapter 22 a little while ago and they are still on the journey :)
I'm so glad you are enjoying it.
The plan was six months, then an owl? Wow, he could have been killed in the streets by then.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Sorry I know it was lame. Sorry to disppoint you.
Response from Maddie (Reviewer)
Don't take my comment as negative criticism on your plot. I was thinking it was the lack of care for Snape's well being we expect from Dumbledore. I was NOT disappointed. You are writing an engaging story.
I think the transition from friends to lovers was beautifully handled. It was time. They do seem to complete each other.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it, I was hoping it wasn't too fast. I think they are wonderful together :) Thanks for enjoying the story.
I really love this story! I can only imagine what anyone would think when they are told to use the Floo for the first time! :) Lovely
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
