Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

So love saves them once again. Now comes the moment of truth. Will Snape see what Raven sees when he looks at Hermione? Will he feel it?I anxiously await your next chapter!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
There are six weeks of potion brewing so we have some down time for them to just spend with each other. I think thats spans a few chapters before the potions done. Glad you liked it :)
I'm almost afraid to find out whose blood is on there. And whose handprints...
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
You must have missed a chapter, This was a blood oath that Voldemort made Snape take and those are his and Voldemort's prints.
Oh my goodness... so Dramatic, I love it!! Its Severus and Hermione meets Indiana Jones!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Glad you liked it so much. I love Indiana Jones.LOL
Dear Author, thank you so much! I am thrilled to see what happens next... I liked very much Raven's idea that he would be a different, less pleasant, person he is unaware of, when leaving that place, and that it would reside permanently in the body... Less pleasant for him, of course, not for us, readers, though ;)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
LO looking forward to Severus, I don;t think you'll be disappointed. Your right they will both be parts of Severus if the potion and spell work. Thanks so much.
ok you can't do this to me no more hi top cliff hangers lol this is a wonderful story and i can't wait for more. Keep up the great work!!!!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, glad you are enjoying it. Hope the next one will be in the next week.
Killer bugs, beetles, snakes, deadly crystal coffins... Voldemort pulled out all the stops, didn't he? Even in death he remains an unholy nuisance. But Hermione and Raven's love seems to still be enough to defeat the worst of the late unlamented Dark Lord's creations. If they succeed in bringing Raven's memories back, I do hope that Severus retains that love for Hermione... it would be so tragic for them to succeed in their quest but lose each other.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Yes he did and yes he has been a pain, Yes Severus will after all have Raven inside of him as long as the potion and the spell works :)Thank so much glad you liked it.
Very creepy cave. Snakes, beetles, locked in a crystal coffin... Voldemort sure wanted his privacy! I liked how Love conquered the spell, both of them. nicely done - again!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks, I do appreciate all your help. Glad you enjoyed the chapter. I'm off for vacation tomorrow. I'll be back on line Wednesday night.
Those were some terrible, menacing creatures! Thankfully they got him out of that chrysalis without damaging either of them very badly. What a rush! I'm glad that the parchment has been found, but I'm saddened by what that will mean for Raven and Hermione's relationship. I still have my fingers and toes crossed!!! Great chapter. :D
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, glad the critters where menacing enough. Yes they are heading toward life changing things. Keep those fingers and toes crossed.
The interesting thing about virtually all of the traps they dealt with in this chapter is that, had Severus been alone, he probably wouldn't have been able to deal with them. It took the two of them to deal with the horde of snakes, the two of them to get all of the beetles, and Hermione's tears to undo the crystal coating Severus. Voldemort obviously didn't think that anyone would be assisting Severus, whether they loved him or not, and based many of his tricks on the assumption that Severus would be in the cave alone.I'm bouncing in my chair to see what happens next!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
LOL thanks so much. Your right Raven would have never made it there by himself, let alone would he have gotten even past the spider. Hermione has made all the difference. Glad you liked it. I hope you find the next chapter a bit of a respite with some very interesting information and choices.
I was so happy that the figure of Voldemort was only a memory. Isn't it ironic that the one thing the Dark Lord didn't take into consideration when he placed the curses on this chamber was love. When Raven and Hermione were united, hand in hand, they were protected from the green wall of light and the cursed wind that came from it. Now it remains to see how many other curses await them, but at least they have found the parchment that is the blood oath. I hope there aren't any curses on it. They need to be able to destroy it before they can search for the spells that will allow Raven to recover his memories.I know he is afraid to attempt to regain his memories because he doesn't want to lose what he has with Hermione. But I hope he will be brave enough to follow through, and I hope Hermione will be strong enough to weather the turmoil that will surely come.Thank you for this chapter, Jeannie. It's marvelous!Hugs, Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks Beth, I'm so glad to finally get another one up. Ch 22 was such a nightmare it took forever. I've just uploaded ch 24. Maybe in a week it will be up as well. Yes, they do have to make those final decisions and it will be a hrad road to pass through.
Thanks so much for your well thought out review.
go back and look at the pictures I added to the first and last chapter of FDLA.
hugs, :)

Another goodie--I only have a quick minute to read but wanted to send a quick note.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much, hope you enjoyed it :)
Whoohoo.....Another chapter...Thank goodness Hermione's tears got Severus out of the encasing crystal, I was so worried..Excellent descriptions!..I hope they find the potion or spell to reverse the memory loss...Poor Severus, but I hope he will remember he loves Hermione once it is over. Can't wait till you update, This is so exciting...Squeeeeeeee!!!!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Hi Beckly, I added your tag to the from of the story ch 1. Thank so much.
They do have afew trials to pass through still but it, I hope, will be worthwhile journey. Ch 24 is in the Queue.
Jeannie
Thank you so much for the update, you sure knows how to make me sit on the egde of the chair:-)) I can't wait to read the next chapter, i must say that I also dread the moment Raven/Severus get his memories back, I would hate for him to hurt Hermione, to destroy the love they have built together.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Well, thanks so much, Im still working on the story so much is still unknown :)
I would think some hurts inevitable but she loves him and will be determined to make sure he knows that.
Wow! can't wait for the next chapter
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, next chapter in the coming week I hope :).
I like that love was able to overcome everything.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, :)
The wards left by Voldemort to guard his lair were still powerful enough to cause Raven and Hermione many problems, but thank goodness they were beginning to weaken. The dragon and the vampire were especially creepy.I liked the fact that Severus' Dark Mark is what allowed them to enter the last cavern. Your description of what it was like to move through the rock wall was very well done.I think the thing that scared me the most was the image of Voldemort challenging Raven's being there because he betrayed the Dark Lord. Hermione fainted and I nearly did, too. This was one of the most exciting chapters so far. Well done!Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Hi Beth, thanks so much for your excellent review. I'm pumped right now having come hoe from seeing HBP again for the second time. Severus looks so good in that movie. I'm glad yoou liked the chapter and the wall. It was loaned by a friend. It was the most action packed, there a bit more to come in the next chapter as well. Hope you enjoy it.
Jeannie
Nothing is meant to be easy for those two! :)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
No its not, they've had to fight for everything they have. Much more still to go through.
whoa! voldie's back? this was a most exciting chapter. i did feel sorry for the dragon, tho. thanks so much and you are one of my favs! smoochies forever
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I did too, that was horrible. It made me cringe to write it. Thank you so much for all the great comments.
Oh, now what? They got through all that to see this... what? Apparition? I think I'd faint too.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
LOL glad you liked that, I deffinatley would if I thought Voldemort was waiting for me. Thanks :)
That was an adventure. It read like an Indiana Jones movie! And now Hermione's fainted.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
LOL poor thing that was too much in her exhausted condition. Glad you liked it.
You did a wonderful job with the imagery. Isn't it wonderful to have friends to give a helping hand?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Yes it is, I originally thought of the spider, dragon, and Vampire beaweasely2 helped me use even more descriptive words to tell the story :)
Thank you glad you enjoyed it.
Amazing chapter. The imagery is so vivid and scary. Fabulous job.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much,, Im very glad you enjoyed it.
An amazing chapter. Very tense. And now, another cliffy! This can't really be Voldemort -- can it?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Hope to have the answer up soon. Glad it was exciting for you, Thank so much.
Wow, gone for a little over a week and I find several chapters of this story waiting for me! This chapter in particular was a real nail-biter, and Hermione had to face her fear of heights and flying not once, but twice. Raven has been a real rock of support, and now it looks as though he's going to have to deal with Voldemort's shadow all by his lonesome. Unless Hermione wakes up soon, that is! I think this will be the real test for him, to know that he can handle danger and protect those he loves without having to lean on someone else (i.e. Dumbledore, Minerva, Hermione, whoever) every time. Once Severus remembers himself, I think it will be easier for him to accept who he was as Raven if Raven doesn't seem weak and ineffectual in his eyes.Great cliffhanger (although if you had stopped while they were crossing the chasm, it really would have been a cliffhanger), and can't wait to see what happens next!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Hope its not a let down the next chapter has some adventures too. Raven done a greta job. Raven has his strengths and is a brave man. LOL din't want them to hang there to long but considering the difficult mess it was to get that one corrected and get all the spell stuff correct it was a nightmare. Maybe if we had cut it in half the pain would have also been cut in half LOL. Thanks.
Exciting chapter! Nicely described. To go through all of that and face a boggart--how cruel! :)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
well, maybe it shades of COS. Hope yu like the next chapter. Thanks glad you liked this one :)
