Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.
Reviews for Raven
Maybe it is for the best that Hermione feels the separation from Raven now while he is regressing in order to prepare herself for the inevitability of Severus' personality becoming dominant and possibly forcing Raven's out completely. She has to be beside herself with grief at not being able to say goodbye to the lover and friend she has come to love and trust. The only bright spot is the chance that they may have found the spell to heal Harry. Very sad, but satisfying chapter! :D

Hope you like the beginning of the next chapter. Looks like your all for Severus to be back. Well this is the potion/spell chapter coming up let me know what you think. Thanks so much for all your comments.
Now that was a surprise. I've mixed feelings on what may happen.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
The next chapter is the long awaited one :)
I wish they would have had a camera to take a picture of date night. it sounds just lovely
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Didn't think of that. Can't even say they will always have their memories. Will they, that is yet to be figured out :)
When I read the part where Raven was dressing for the dinner he and Hermione were planning, and read that he was looking "forward to the evening as any young man might on his first date," I knew that he had begun to revert to childhood. How sad for both of them. I don't know how Hermione will manage to brew the potion for three more weeks and watch over a petulant child... whom she loves with all her heart. This will not be an easy time. Will she be able to complete the potion? Will she have to "correct" the child Raven has become? Will he be sullen? Will Severus remember his love for Hermione and who he was as Raven? This chapter leaves so many questions to be answered! I'm looking forward to seeing how you resolve this dilemma.Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Yep, it started and it escillated to
the end. Yes it was sad for both of them, hope you will like the moments in the next chapter and what finally happens as the potion is taken. Thanks, Beth.

First of all let me thank you for another great update! Then I must admit that a part of me want to hide and not read the next chapters due to hating for Hermione to get hurt by the one(s) she loves. While my heart are breaking due to her having to face the rest of their stay with a Raven who have lost himself and thus their relationship, knowing that she will never get Raven back, what she will get is a Severus who most likely will break her heart and stamp on the remains of her selfesteem, makes me both dread the next chapters and craving them at the same time. I just cross my fingers that you won't give us a Severus who behaves so badly that I won't forgive him, no matter how much Hermione loves him. This is a gem of a story and you write it so well, one should take great pride in managing to stir emotions like you do here:-))
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much, what kind words you have given me. Yes, there is a lot of pain and just maybe lots of joy as well in time. Severus has never been a kind man has he. I don't think he will change too soon unless Raven works his way into who Severus is. I'm glad that it has made you feel so much. I have loved writing it.
poor Hermione! looking forward to your next chapter!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much. :)
Thank you for this update! Voldemort definitely hasn't foreseen the possibility that Severus would bring someone with him... Poor Hermione... A man whom she loves turning into (petulant?) child... Oh my...
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
LOL Yes, I guess he has become a petulant child. But she will handle it all, it's not easy what she faces. But she is strong. Thanks
Poor Hermione. It sounds like things will be pretty rough for awhile, but I hope it's all worth it in the end. At least they found something to help Harry. I can only imagine what he would have thought of Raven. I think Raven was the man Severus was meant to be... maybe he needs to go through all this for Severus to become whole for the first time in his life?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
You know Harry would have loved Raven and visa versa, too bad they don't egt to meet each other. You have made a very good observation there :)
Thanks so much.
OH NO! Poor Hermione, Oh I hope the potion is sucessful and Raven gets his memories back and that when he is Severus again, he will remember what he as Raven shared with Hermione..Their Love and caring for one another...Well done!! What a wonderful surprise to wake up to this morning! I LOVE IT!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much

Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)

Sweet chapter, lets hope they can break the spell with out any more problems.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, the potion's not with out its drawbacks, oope you like the next one :)
Poor Hermione. At least now that she knows she can be considerate of the child.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Yes, she can and she does do the best she can.
So for the next 6 weeks there will be no more communication to the outside. Minerva is going to go out of her head!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I guess she must be, sort of forgot about her. opps.
THat would be so wonderful if the magic worked on Neville's parents as well! My fingers are crossed.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Mine too, I really hope the whole thing works out. Got to get writing again. I'm stuck right now and on vacation :)
OMG! What an evil Potion the Dark Lord dreamed up for Severus. I am just thankful that he has Hermione to brew the potion for him. I'll bet she will have a time of it trying to brew the potion and take care of Raven as he reverts to a child while the brewing is going on.Six weeks in that cavern! It seems like their bravery and their fears will be tested time and time again. A lot can happen during that time as they oversee the making of the potion and try to explore the various nooks and crannies in this darkest of caves. I'm sure Voldemort has left many traps for them! This is another great update, Jeannie.Hugs, Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
I'm glad you liked that. The brewing will be tough and they spend some time just for themselves. I hope yu enjoy the chapters even though they may not be what you imagine :) Thanks so uch Beth.
Six more weeks. They probably feel like their life together has an end date. But I do hope it will work out for them.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you there is a deffinate point in which changes are set to happen. I too hope it works out since it's not all yet written :)
wonderful update. thanks so much
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Your welcome stay tuned :)
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......Oh wonderful...I love this chapter!! Glad they are being careful in the cavern, and I'm glad Severus/Raven has Hermione there to help him if the results of brewing are to lose oneself and become childlike...Well done! Can't wait for another chapter....Whoohoo!!!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks so much glad you liked the chapter, there will be one or two (I think) till the potion is ready and then the future is less certain for our lovers.
Response from Becky (Reviewer)
Gasp...OH NO!!!! You mean Severus doesn't remember, OH NO no it can't happen! sniff!!!! LOL!!! I know you will work it out for our couple....
Another wonderful update, thank you! Their love for eachother is so deep and magnificient, there is no way Severus will be able to forget it or deny it, he just won't be allowed to do so!!!As always looking forward for the next update:-))
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thank you so much, Yoour words are evry kind and and I hope you are right. There would be so much for Severus to adjust in his life, will love win out...stay tuned. :)
All the comforts of home, indeed. At least Hermione and Raven ought to be nice and cozy while Hermione brews the potion. And then comes the fun part. Knowing Voldemort, I can't imagine taking that potion will be the most pleasant experience in the world. Particularly considering how unpleasant Severus' life was, both as a child and the Death Eater/spy. Good thing Hermione will be there for him every step of the way. :-)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Yes, she will be there for him through thick and thin. Severus Snape as never been a nice man. He may not respond well to the whole idea :) But Hermione won't give up.
I feel for Raven and Hermione even more than I did before. The lengths that they have gone and the dangers that they have faced in order to have a chance of bringing Severus' memories back to him has strengthened their relationship in a way that merely spending time together could never have done. They deserve the six weeks worth of lemons.I'm glad that the parchment has been destroyed and that Hermione is going to brew the potion for him. Still have my fingers and toes crossed. Lovely chapter! :D
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks, yes they had a lot to go through and there is still a lot to deal with. But our Hermione is quite a fighter don't you think :)
that was exciting and terrifying at the same time! leave it to voldie to be a lousey loser. faboo update. thanks so much
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks so much, I'm very glad you enjoyed it. I hope a new chapter will be up by the end of the week.
Great spells! And now we get to the answer.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Thanks hope you enjoy their time in
the cave.
I thought the creepiest part of this chapter was them going through that thick wall. It made the claustraphobic in me jump out and scream!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of Raven)
Sorry, you found it hard to deal with, it was an amazing idea , not mine though. :)
