Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Thank you I hope you will continue to enjoy the story. Its really grown a life of it's own now 40 chapters long. I try hard to write new ideas. No sense writing the same as everyone else.
great start can't wait for more.

Thank you :) there is much more to come
I am trilled to see that you have another story for us, I am very much looking forward to follow it. The plot is intriguing, not at least just how dead is Severus, (not at all I hope, I can't get a happy ending if one of my favourites are dead:-)) I am guessing that he is caugth in some kind of limbo?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you. I hope you will enjoy it. Good guessing there :) This is already 40 chapters long. It iwll take some time to post. Thanks for the review.
Love it! Is there going to be any more or is this a one-shot? I would really like to know the reasons why his wards didn't fall and and the question of what happened to his body answered...
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)

Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Rare to get a TPP review from you.Thank you, my good friend. Your support means a lot.Hugs
Glad to see Lucius chose to cooperate and give info on the hidden library. It seems like not only Lucius is one realising prejudice and giving up on it in this chapter. Nice to see some character progression for Hermione too. Hopefully they can make progress with the library quick enough to save Molly and Arthur!Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you for your thorughts on the chapter. What Character development is Hermione going through? Have I not done enough with her? I'm curious about your thoughts here. They will all work as hard as they can to see that the Weaseley's are taken care of....will they be on time ....:)
Response from Jinxie (Reviewer)
Well, I thought Hermione and Lucius were both developing further by both letting go of their prejudices. Hermione for (seemingly) finally realising that Draco truly has changed and willing to accept it and commend him for it because of his freeing of his house elves. I wasn't criticising, all I was saying is that it's nice to have more development with characters instead of just completely focusing on one character at a time and gradual changes that occur with each individual. It just adds another dynamic to the fic.
very good has me waiting for the update
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you I hope to have one up soon.

YAY! I'm glad you're continuing and can't wait to read more. I love LOVE LOVE the bookmark feature on this site. It let's me keep up with lots of stories all at once so I'm not quite as frustrated by works in progress as I used to be.
Fascinating concept, and up to your usual standard with "Raven", etc. I'm glad you've got another plot-bunny to play with so soon, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's really going on with Severus! Hermione mentioned that he had no grave...does this mean no body was ever found? And if so, what happened to it? Please let the next chapter come out soon, I can't stand it!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, I didn't expect anyone to read this so quickly :) This plot bunny hit me last summer and I wrote the first part into a notebook on a plane to Illinois. The story is already 40 chapters long. It just takes so long to get my chapters into TPP one at a time. I wanted to get Raven done first.I think you'll enjoy the next chapter it does further the plot.Thank you so much for your review. It's very incouraging.
Beau début, je compte sur vous pour une histoire palpitante. MerciNice start, I hope to read a exciting story. Thanks

This is an unusually beginning. Looking forward to where you will lead us. Loved it

Thank you for loving these characters as much as I do. You put thought to paper in a way I can only wish to do. I've enjoyed this story for the second time. It was one of the first I thought to read in my greif over AR's passing. I needed a happy, hopeful story with my favorite people. I love you, gersknightlylady! Love,

Thans I love you too, all the kind words you have said to me over the eyars has been very much appreciated. Losing Alan should keep s all the more closer to eachother. Look me up on FB. Jeannie Ecklund nicismom1228@aol.com
I'm glad that Lucius had a change of heart and told Severus how to find Voldemort's private library. It will be grisly work for Hermione to go through many of the Dark texts, but I know she will do it for Molly and Arthur.Draco's generosity will help so many of those who survived the war, and perhaps he will even be able to visit his father. I hope so.Now I'm wondering how Severus and the boys are coming along with their work. Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I'm glad he did too. They both have som hard days ahead of them as they work hard to find a cure. Severus and the boys on a potion that will help and Hermione looking for the actual spell. The clock is running out.Draco is trying hard to be a very good man but i think facinghis father will be all the harder. They don't have a very good relationship. Despite his up bringing Draco has become a respectable man. Trying under very hard circumstances to hold his family and home together. We will see how the work int he lab is going soon.Thank you for the great review and your thoughts.Jeannie
So much now hangs in the balance, and I dearly hope Lucius has had enough time cooling his heels in Azkaban to have had a change of heart. It's possible, but...Off to the next chapter to find out what happens next!Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes, quite a lot hangs in the balance and Lucius is very much a part of Severus going in the right direction. Thank you so much for your review.Jeannie
This story just keeps getting better and better. The twists and turns of your plot are well executed. I enjoy reading every new chapter.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you so much. It was originaly to stop after Severus was freed from the bubble and then Scorpius grabbed my attention and it grew from there. There's a few more twists and turns before this story is over :)Thank you so much for your review.
Fabulous! I like that Draco and Harry have taken a page from their sons and buried the hatchet between them. I do hope they find something soo. The conditions Luicus is living in is just horrible and Im glad Severus finally got through to his thick skull to get him to tell him where those books are. I can't wait to read another chapter.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I'm very glad that you have enjoyed the chapter. They are working hard and have you even known Severus not to meet a goal.Lucius is in terrible condition. I'm not for Prisoners to live in better conditions than other people. It bugs me that they have so many pleasures, but people at least deserve adaquate food, warmth, and decent clothing. Severus has learned a lot from loving Hermione, I think he;s willing to help his friend and who knows what will happen.Thank you for your review.... new chapter coming soon.
I am not in the habit of doing reviews; in fact this is only the second one I've done since I discovered all the fanfiction for my two favorite characters: Snape and L. Malfoy. This is a fantastic tale. At first, I was a little dubious about the length, but the chapters were just long enough and I kept finding myself doing the "just one more chapter tonight". It has a little bit of everything: romance, drama, suspense and resolution. Thank you for sharing your gift with the rest of us.

Oooh! The plot thickens. Will they be in time to save the Weasleys? Will Draco bribe the guards in Azkaban? Will Lucius really help when all is said and done? Stay tuned! Same Ghost Time. Same Ghost Channel. ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
They are working so very hard. Each of them has their own goals and with a lot of help they will strive to make it in time.LOL Lucius does factor into the story more as time goes on.
I'm glad that Lucius decided to do the right thing and tell Severus where he could find Voldemort's books. Not to make excuses for what Lucius has done, but living in such hellish conditions and feeling as though hatred is all he's being given by others would make it very easy to justify giving hatred back in return. I really hope that if Lucius gets positive attention and affection as a result of his actions today, it will convince him to genuinely change himself for the better. The interaction between Draco and Harry was good to read, too, and I really liked Harry's line about them taking a lesson from their sons. Looking forward to Hermione's research, and Severus dealing with "the boys" back at Hogwarts. I'm sure Scorpius will want to know what happened when Severus saw his grandfather in Azkaban.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I think Severus will go back. Lucius was a good friend and I think he was very distressed to see his friend in that condition. Now that Severus is in Love he can see what the loss of a man's true love might do to his mind and he's willing to be more sypathetic.I really like writing a more mature Harry. I know he was so difficult when he was a child but all the things he learned afterwards would help him to chnage how he was and to trust that frendships are possible with those he used to misstrust.I'm not sure i cover Scorpius' reaction or inquiry. Its a wonderful idea.Thank you so much for the wonderful well thought out review.
I hope Lucius can sincerely make a change and I hope that he can get out of Azkaban a better person and soon.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I have hope for him. Someone that cares for him. Treats him with concern may reach his black heart.
Love can do amazing things, this is true.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes, it is. It can save a soul.
