Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Now that Hermione know what this will cost Severus, is it worth it? I'm not sure it is. How many times does Severus Snape have to suffer for the good of others? When does he ever get to rest and be happy? This is opening a can of worms. If I were Hermione I would think long and hard before I let him do that again. Can't they go take some of Lucius' memories? Maybe it would help him to get rid of them or to relive them. I don't care if they have to do it against his will. Why is it better for Severus to suffer than Lucius? This is his fault anyway. That's my two cents.

Is another soul worth the price of a little pain. Yes, this is very difficult for Severus, but the results will benifit them all including Severus.

You have such a gift,I felt as though I was down in his rooms with Hermione,the descriptions of the glass and hook very well done!!!!! I never jump ahead to the end,but I want to so badly...I do not want him to be a ghost.

Age difference between LM and SS works for me just fine. Did Scorpius see his patriarch on the ground wrything in exquicite pain until he soiled him self? Another great chapter but I'm tired and keep making typos. Good night gentle wrter. I shall read more as soon as i can.

I think Scorpius saw everything in that memory. He was there with Severus. It's been a long time since i read through the stories I have written. Maybe if Albus Dumbledore would have taken the time to do as much for Seversus, he might have been a different boy. As it was, no body had Seveurs' back. Infact, Dumbledore allowed other children to bully and abuse him then turned around and treated those children like his darlings all the while they were being horrible to Severus. For all we know the "all knowing" Dumbledore may have planned to make Severus bitter so that he could use him against Voldemort once he decided to take an intrest in him. I don't think Albus Dumbledore did him any favors before he need a spy. Maybe Albus was sorry and repented and then tried to save Severus with those spells but it may not have even been necessary had he helped Severus as a student.
Nice detention. I would have chosen the desk top rather than the floor. At least that gives them an excuse to have a "do over".

I agree this story got very frustrating where Severus was concerned (I mean Cannon). If Albus had treated him fairly he might have grown to be a formidable Wizard with out all the darkness that shaped who he ended up being. But then sometimes I think Albus had a time turner that allowed him to see how things needed to be to reach the desired end and then he manipulated people to that end. With my spell yes, I think Albus wanted to make up somthing to severus. Give him the chance for a happier future.But the floor was funnier :)

I'm glad Severus still has the ability to be Professor Snape the Bastard. It comes in pretty handy once in a while to be able to help people see things the right way without brute force when they scorn kindness. It's a little bit sexy too at times. Did I say that? In real life I probably wouldn't like him but in the movies he's pretty damn sexy, much sexier than the cannon version. Poor AR; no matter how good he is at being evil, he's still sexy even when we are supposed to hate him. I get the feeling it perturbs him.
Sorry it took so long to get back to the story. I've been having a bit of a rough time of things. Thank you for responding to my reviews.

I agree he needs to keep that strength about him. And I'd probably have run screaming from him in real life. AR does make him sexy LOL. I think it probably does too LOL. I'm sorry you have been having a rough time. Ill health or life in general? Im a good listener.

I really enjoyed this chapter. The reunion of Draco and Severus was really good. I'm very pleased that Draco at the way Draco turned out. Severus meant more to others than he could have ever known. Severus and Draco are family now. They both need that. Severus has Poppy but I wonder if Draco has anyone like that in his life. Severus is the right person for the job. He will not only be a fine surrogate for Scorpius but for Draco as well. Draco needs him. I hope it increases Severus self worth.
Severus will learn like all husbands, that it's simply considerate and good manners to say goodbye when you leave unless it's understood in advance that she doesn't want to be awakened, and to let each other know when the other is leaving the building so they don't worry. I thought it was humorous that Severus sounded like a woman when he thought about Hermione misinterpreting his invitation to lunch as a request for sex, when all he wanted was to talk. Silly man. I'm glad she is teaching him about "quickies". He could use some more impromptu "luv'in" to help him relax.
Hermione is too young to remember the song "Afternoon Delight" by the Starland Vocal Band, but if she knows it she should play it for him. It's totally cheesy but fun. You tube has it with lyrics from a 1978 performance.

I enjoyed writing this part of the story Draco and the Malfoy family in general go through chnages that I enjoyed taking them through. Your right Draco needed Severus to help him. For all his blustering and nastiness as a boy, he alwyas had his emotions nearly on his sleeve. He did a lot of crying and couldn't take what he dished out. It shows inside he had a soft heart.I loved that song Afternoon Delight :)Thanks so much for the ideas and thoughts. This s tory ahd been completed for a long time.

Albus Severus is more like Hermione than Harry or Ginny. I wonder how Hermione and Severus feel about going to church. Are they believers or was it just sentimental? I understand why Severus was hurt that Hermione thought he might do something bad to Scorpius, but she knows he used to have to do those things or she wouldn't have been worried, yet...yet she loves him. I hope he realizes that Hermione knows what a death eater does and she doesn't hold it against him. I'm sure she will be more careful about how she reacts from now on. I've heard you should never go to be angery. I've been married 33 years and have gone to bed angery a few times. My husband is very good at saying he's sorry the next day. However, sometimes sorry isn't enough. Sometimes a change in behavior is what matters not just the words. In this case, Hermione appologising should have been and was enough. She hasn't made it a habit to treat him like he's still a death eater. I hope they make taking time away from the school a regular ritual. It will be wonderful for their mental health and relationship. Good chapter.

So amazing! When Severus stripped I was a little concerned that maybe his body will appear and then it did! haha!!! I can't wait for the next chapter!

Awesome! Poor Severus appearing naked in front of everyone, at least Hermione was covering his most important part. *Grins* Lucius is an ass plain and simple he is lucky Severus didn't kill him. Hope they toss him in Azkaban and give the kiss straight away so he won't be so stupid and try and go after Hermione or anyone else again.

Boy Howdy, they fought like a well oiled war machine when they arrived at Malfoy Manor. I was hoping that somewhere in the battle for Hermione that Severus would be free of the last layer of Albus' spell.I'd loved to have been a fly on the wall when everyone else came into the cell where Hermione had been fighting Lucius. I'll bet it was quite a scene to see Severus sitting on the floor NEKKID with Hermione on his lap. LOL!Now it's back to St Mungo's for a thorough checkup, and then back to Hogwarts.... Hermione is there, so that's where Severus' heart will be. Lordy, that was a fantastic chapter, Jeannie!Beth

The spell is a great idea for the story. I'm just glad that there isn't a barrier between Severus and Hermione any more. It's just the kind of thing Dumbledore would do in his infinite wisdom. Dumbledore isn't my favorite character. He isn't really my least favorite, either. He's complicated just like Snape is, but he's misleading in that everyone thinks he's silly and doddering when he's very manipulative and sharp witted, but NOT always able to make the best choices. Snape never pretended to be nice.Here's the thing I love about Dumbledore, though. Really, it has nothing to do with Dumbledore. My neighbor has her own ideas about religion. Which is fine with me. I'm completely non-religious, but she says that her god is like Dumbledore. It makes me laugh like hell because she hasn't read the last book and I WISH she would. LOL. I'm not sure if she'd get it, even then. Still really cracks me up.
Wow, that was amazingly good fun! It seemed like it was only a few seconds between the first line of this chapter and the last. I guess that means it was a great read but I was left wanting so much more!This was a nice way to break that final layer and abuse Lucius at the same time. And they managed to come out to all of the DA at once. Nice work. I can't wait to see what happens next.
