Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Poor Severus! I hope he is safe now. I hope this triggers an investigatio into the conditions at Azkaban and that warden ends up behind bars in a clean cell with a warm blanket and enough food to stave off malnutrician. I'm glad Severus was prepared. I know Hermione has a baby to worry about. I hope the rest of the Order takes up this fight so that Severus and Hermione don't have to choose.

I'm glad Severus got the pensive memory over with. Not knowing was worse than knowing. I was somewhat uncomfortable with Hermione for not respecting his wishes and repeatedly asking him to show it to her, I suppose it made sense that if it was bad, Dumbledore wouldn't have saved it and had it triggered the way it had been. I'm very glad that Severus and Hermione are going to do something about Askaban. Severus might end up being the next Dumbledore of the wizarding world. I hope the Order helps them. I'm glad Aurthor has his job back and hope he is restored to a more dignified position soon.

I went back and looked to see which one it was. It went to egther so easily. I tried to change his face with one of Severus' but it worked out better just to explaine the beard LOL. I love doing Manips.

I still think he and Dumbledore should have a personal talk before he can let it go. I think Hermione is asking too much. He wouldn't ask so much from her, and if he tried she would make him feel guilty. The man was like a father to Severus and forced Severus to kill him. That is no small thing. Severus has suffered a huge amount of emotional trauma. Just because things are good now doesn't mean he doesn't need closure with his past life. Albus used him cruelly, literally, for years! He misused him as a teen as well by favoring the people who tried to kill him. It may have been for "the greater good" but it was no less traumatic. I wish Hermione would cut him as much slack as she would ask of him. I'm really glad Albus and Scorpius are best friends now. I bet Draco could use some friends too.

I always meant him to talk to Dumbledore and for the life of me I can't remember if I wrote the scene. I agree Severus did suffere a lot and maybe the fact that Albus lead him to the love of his life can make him finally forgive the man.I like Scorpius and Albus as friends too.Thanks for th review.

I don't think they should look at the memory together. I think Severus should see it first and then decide if he wants to share it. She might decide to have one of those over reaction episodes. I wouldn't trust her. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

I think they better work out some of their communication and relationship issues before they have a baby. Damn, I would have thought she was about to say, "I want to have two husbands. Can I be married to you and Ron at the same time, pleeeease!" I wish I could slap her up the back side of her head. Sheeeeesh!!!! 
Another news flash, Hermione. Every kid is their own person and what works for one doesn't always work for others. Be prepared to eat your words when you say, ..."My kid will never do that." You just activated a little known Karma jinx.

My need to have Severus mothers by a loving mother seems to be a theme in these last stories and in a new one I am working on...though she doesn't feature much in it so far....
I always see Severus with a man full of pain who had built this solid armour around himself to keep from hurting, but once he lets someone in and starts to love again he is vulnerable and can be hurt easily.

OMG! Hermione is really being lame! After all they have been through she shouldn't so afaid of letting Severus know what she is thinking about. After all he has been through and done for her, she owes him transparency. He has more of a heart to lose than the average man and he is trying ten times harder to be a good husband than the average man too. What would she think if he acted like that? (
=Hermione) She needs to stop this type of childish behavior.
They are both adults and need to talk things through without these visceral reactions she keeps having. Grow up Hermione!
O,BTW- You should be warned that babies are damned over rated, little girl! I like them much better when they belong to someone else. Another peice of advice: wanting to have a baby is a lot like wanting a new expensive car. Make a list of all of the reasons to have a baby or $35000. car and one of all the reasons not to. In about two weeks you'll get over it if you just hang in there.

And I don't care, either. I'm old and can say what I really think, now. Two children were more than enough for me and I don't miss any of the other kids I didn't have. Probably wouldn't do it again.

They made the world go around. I am well aware it's not the same thing. Raising children is very hard I can see that.

This wasn't a disappointing chapter! Hermione is only human. LOL. She is who she is! I'm just old and crotchety and have a bad attitude. Their week was so sweet and speacial! My veiws on parenting are not agreed with by very most other parents. But if I didn't have them, I wouldn't get the wonderful grandchildren! They are so much fun and the light of my life, plus, I get to give them back when I'm finished playing! I loved being a mommy until about 15 years old. Female children are full of drama, drama and more drama. And if they make bad choices it is harder not to help them because they have the babies. I got to be the meanie who did the discipline and dad did everything for them. Now they can't take care of themselves. Your story is wonderful, I just have a personal attitude problem.

How in the world could Order members trail Snape? They couldn't go to dark revels.
And if they were supposed to be protecting him they did a piss poor job. They could have exposed his cover.
I would not be happy about that if I was Severus, but I know he has more important things to think about now and he can't change any of it anyway. No matter what Lucius has done, I don't believe that criminals should be abused. How we keep our criminals is a reflection on our own moral character. I hope that when Kingsley hears about this he does something about it.
I feel that all people, no matter how much we hate them, should be provided with sufficient nurishment, cleanliness, protection from other criminals and medical care for our own conscience sake as a civiliazation. I can tell you feel the same by this story. I don't know where you live, but I feel that where I live we do not treat prisoners in a completely humane way. 
We keep people in solitary confinement in rooms about the size of king size bed for upto 20 years or more at a time. Ignorant people think prisoners get good medical care but I have seen some things in my life and at least federal prisoners don't get appropriate medical care. Malfoy is going to be out of Azkaban eventually. Shouldn't they be working on rehabilitation and treating his mental illness so that he doesn't hurt anyone when he gets out again? (retorical question, of couse.) I wonder if Lucius' only motive for helping the Weaselys was because Severus bribed him. Maybe he can make some new friends when he gets out and be sorry for what he did that was evil.

Please do not feel that I am annoyed by your writing skill. The people in the story are who they are and they do what they must! I am very into your story because I am enjoying it so much. I never think of the characters as reflecting the skill of the author as a writer, I think of them as people in this world the writer has created. The characters must be true to themselves and you have done a wonderful job keeping the characters consistant with who they are. I would never expect any character to be perfect. Where would the story be then? That would be boring! A long story should make the reader feel a full spectrum of expression. You have done a wonderful job!
Please forgive me if I have made you feel like you didn't do a great job. I am still reading!!!! If I was truely annoyed with the story I wouldn't keep going.

Not much better than a dead arse! You totally explained why no one else saw what was wrong with Arthor and Molly. Thank you. 
Why is Hermione surprised to see Severus' anger surface when someone put hands on her in a violent manner? I would expect worse than she got from Severus. It sounds like Ron would be in for beatig not unforgivables. He needs an "attitude adjustment". Severus may be just the person to help give him that. If it cures him of gittedness, he might have a chance at a happy life down the road. Hermione can't expect Severus to become Aurthor Weasely. It isn't fair to ask him to change his fundemental need to protect her. If someone else had physically assaulted Severus, like Rita Skeeter, for example, I'm sure Hermione might seek redress.

I'm glad Hermione realized that compared to Severus she had little to complain about. I'm not dismissing how frightening it was, but to let it affect her realtionship with Severus was a little bit selfish and fears can be mastered. She did it for Harry. Perspective is part of good mental and emotional health. I hope she is able to show Severus that she trusts him implicitly. He deserves as much. And if she wants to help him heal in the same way that he was willing to do what ever he needed to help her heal, she needs to make a special effort to show him that. She went out of her way to convince him she loved him, now she needs to do the same to convince him she trusts him. I only think he needs to share his past with her if it will help him heal. There is something to be said for moving on and not dwelling on the past. It's the difference between psycotherapy and congnative therapy. I favor the latter. Sometimes when the moment is right we tell our story as a cathartic excercise, but I think it is a spontaneous moment that spurs it, when the situation triggers the giving up the story to give up our grief. I believe that Severus will someday have that moment. Even then, I don't think he needs to confess his every sin to her unless he really wants to. Some things are better left alone. I don't think it is necessary to force a person to relive every detail of a traumatic event so that they can move on. I am also a great fan of denial. I see no harm in pretending some things aren't true or real. When my mother and I know we aren't going to see each other for a long time, we just pretend when we say good bye that we are going to see each other in a couple of days. It makes good bye much easier and less traumatic. It also prevents your last day together from being ruined by dread and sorrow. Love and happiness are a choice. Everybody has trials and tribulations. Happy people just have a different world view than miserable people. A little life advice from

I spent like 20 min answering this one last night clicked the thing and got an error screen. :(Thank you so much for reading so mnay chapters. Since I haven't gotten another review in about a week I hope you didn't give up on reviews. I did finally manag to answer each of them. I'm sorry I hadn't checked the site in a week or two. I re read the chapter so I would at least know where you were. Hermione did finally realize how much Severus went through. Each person has teir own demons to live through when trama hits, some people can take more than others. There will be times when they talk about what Severus went through and he will decide what he can share and what he wants to leave int he past. He has chnaged and he doesn't want Hermione to dwell on what he no longer is.I agree hiding your head in the sand so to speak does have it's advantages. I'm always happier not know whats going on with my family.... I have no immediate family, but sister and their families. I like everyone to be happy :)Every one has wisdom to share you as well. Imagine that advice coming from Severus! "Praise him. Children like to be praised?" 
Hermione was fearless when she was younger. Why can't she stand up to that awful boy? Doesn't she remember punching Draco in the face? What about the DA and standing up to frog face Umbridge? She needs to walk down the memory lane of her bravery as a young person. That time Nagini hid in the old woman's body would have sent me chattering mad! On to another topic: Did they only make love that one time? I'm very proud of Severus through this whole thing. Very proud.What is Minerva thinking letting Scorpius back into potions without having a talk with Hermione and Severus before hand? Albus would have. But he also meddled too much on some things then not enough on others. I suppose she trusts them and doesn't micromanage, which is a great trait in a boss. My favorite trait, in fact. Well, I work tomorrow so I have to go to bed. I am disabled and if I don't get enough rest it affects my job, but I really wish I could keep reading.

Sorry the storie seems to be getting harder and harder for you to swallow. I think Hermiones had a lot of hard situations happen to her in a very short time and shes lost her courage a bit. Scorpius returns to the story becasue he has a very special part in its future. At the time even I didn't know it the stories kind of write themselves. I just start typing and they kind of take their own up and downs. I sometimes re read them and think I dont remember writing that LOL.I hope even though its difficult on you you'll continue to the end. Do make sure it doesn't interfere with yur health the story isn't going anywhere. :)

He may as well follow her then. She needs to say what's up. He can't read her mind. If he were being this distant she would be very hurt. I suppose she is traumatized. It seems to me that she's been through as much or worse before. I know she's new at this romance thing too, but she needs to talk to Severus and tell him what's botherig her. She has always had good communication skill when she's had a problem in the past. Now that Severus has said he loves her she needs to trust him. I probably sound insensitve but Severus wouldn't get slack if he was doing this instead of her. I'm very glad for Harry and Severus. Sorry Ron is a pratt. When you said earlier that Lucius' friends were helping him capture Hermione and Severus I thought, Lucius still has friends? I guess the death eaters who didn't get life in Azkaban or something. I am sorry for Narcissa Malfoy. 
I can see her not being able to live with the shame and poverty. She was very proud. I hope Draco is OK. Time to work on Hermione. She has worn her big girl panties for a very long time, since she was 11 actually

I think it's time they could start using the "L" word with each other. it's so obvious. They've both pleged they don't want to ever be wtihout the other. The rest is like breathing. I'm so glad Severus is in love and is loved in return. Hermione would not have a problem loving him. It was necessary for him to see her older. The rest of this was awfully risky, but I'm guessing Dumbledore didn't expect a death eater's grandchild would come to try to get revenge on them after all of this time. I am looking forward to the time they get to truely make love. I want to read every detail and not just because I'm naughty. I have a feeling it will be very sweet. I'm glad Severus has figured out this is the work of Albus Dumbledore. He is right in his desire to stop being manipulated from the grave. Will he ever get his own life on his own terms? Well, sadly tomorrow is another day of work and I much go to bed, though I'd much rather read.

Yes there is a time for it. Sometimes just being there for eachother is all they needed right then. I do like it when Hermione is a bit older in most stories. It has only made this process much more difficult. I hope my stories realy made you dream of Snape as much as I adore him he's never been in my dreams... odd I guess the writting take the place of that.

O, I've had a couple of Snape dreams. Not long dreams and hard to remember, but they were hot. I'm hoping for a Snape dream right now. I want to read the reast of your replys tonight but I must dicipline my self to go to be. Tomorrow is a long one and I can't work if my feet start feeling like they are being roasted over a fire of coals with my toes in clamps. That is the definition of neuropathy. Yes there is a time for it. Sometimes just being there for eachother is all they needed right then. I do like it when Hermione is a bit older in most stories. That damned kid! I bet when he reflects Severus will be touched that some of the children were crying for him. It is so different this time. That Albus Dumbledore! He has had a bad habit of "the end justifies the means" for just about anything he thought needed doing. Powerful wizards who like to meddle take heed. I'm sure he meant well a lot of the times that others ended up suffering, especially Severus. Knowing a lot isn't the same as being all knowing, but I don't think Albus always realized that. I trust you that Severus is going to be OK. So I will try not to get my knickers in a bunch. What do we do with Scorpius?
Where did he get that poison? Is his dad involved? I hope Filtch hangs him by his thumbs for a while, but then I hope he can be rehabilitated afterwards. Poor Hermione. I can't imagine that anyone could be feeling more afraid than she is right now. Fear and grief. Take us to a better place dear author.

LOL Scorpius is quite a thorne in their sides and quite dangerous. Yes, Dumbledore did have a way of seeing the ned and not the inbetween. I'm glad that spy nerve is still working! I won't tell Hermione and Severus that babies and kids are over rated. So I didn't think Severus could participate in the act of love making, but now it seems like he can participate he just can't finish. Is that correct? There are other outdoor activities for the couple beside watching the games. They can collect potions ingredients or make snow angels. I'll bet that's something Severus has never done. I like that he has started winking at Hermione. Severus Snape flirting with you is certainly a dream come true!

Children do have a way of adjusting to others who are unusual when they understand the situation. Too bad the family jewels aren't working yet but I'm sure they will in time. I'm really glad that Severus is getting a life. I'm also going to be glad when he and Harry have a chance to "make up". Harry was always a sensitive person. I would expect him to have sensitive children. Scorpius is a sad situation. I believe that if he ever gets a chance to really know Severus he will find out that they have a lot in common and that Severus could be a great friend to him. I'm not surprised that the Malfoys fell on harder times, but I didn't expect Draco to hold a grudge against Severus. I guess people want to blame thier bad circumstances on someone else. Especially if they are a Malfoy. Draco probably has selective memory about how happy he was when Voldemort was a "guest" of his family home. I would think Draco's mom would have had good things to say about Severus Snape and Draco was close to his mom, I think. Well we'll have to see what happens. I somehow imagine that this situation with Scorpius may further the weakening of the spell Severus is under.

Yes, they do. There is some good stuff I think with Harry. I like my Harry's to be grown up and more mature after his experience with Voldy and Severus' memories.Scorpius is a sad mess, here lucius is resposoble to his sad outlook on life and his prejudices.

I love the picture!!! Good photo shop job. He is a hottie isn't he!!! Though being invisible came in handy, I'm glad they've worked out the spell on Severus. I hope they get to get down to business soon. I know Severus still needs to heal some. He was right though when he said he had done more in worse shape before. That was his life before this one. He was sure strong to throw Lucius around as injured as he is. A pissed off Severus Snape is like an angry grissly bear. He's fast, it would take a whole lot to stop him and he'd have your head off before he even knew he was hurt.
Without magic I can't say anyone would have much of a chance if Severus Snape was in Pappa Bear mode. I can't think of anyone who would make me feel more protected. Hermione is a lucky, lucky girl!

It's been too long since the war, I guess. Hermione should have known better than to pick up that coin. From what Severus said to Ron, it is plain that he plans to commit to staying with her. After his talk with Minerva and this incident I think he will wish he has told her he loved her. It must be very strange for him to suddenly find himself a peer of Harry, Ron and the others in their group. I hope he and Hermione will be OK and that no one else gets killed. That kiss from a dirty, drunk Lucius would be very yucky! An hour is a long time to be alone with him. He could do a lot to her in that time.

Coming along just peachy! I love peachy because real life is never peachy. I have to get my peaches vicariouly. I've been rather having an intense lemon famine in real life. The little guy is broken and the big guy has been too tired for 30 years. So I have to get my lemons vicariously as well. I am hoping for some of those. It's way passed my bed time and I really need to stop reading and go sleep. I have work tomorrow. I work under physically difficult circumstances and need my rest. My body is my enemy. I am disabled and in pain at all times, but i must press on. Without my job my life will have no meaning. Ta! my loverly gersknightlady.

I love Severus this way. Hermione must have butterflys in her stomach all the time just thinking about her dreams come true, almost. Hee Hee. (I can't wait until they figure out how to get him out of his clothes.) I expected Minerva to cry but it's OK that she didn't. I'm glad Albus was busy else where, too. I'm sure you have a special meeting planned for those two. It's lovey so far!

I am enjoying the progress very much. I am glad other people can hear Severus too. Having Hermione, Poppy and Minerva as his "family", he will have a chance at happieness now. I agree with Poppy. I don't think this is the work of the Dark Lord. I'm thinking it's more likely that old manipulator with the twinkling blue eyes. But he would make it complicated wouldn't he.
