Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Well, at least they can communicate. This is intriguing.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, the story takes many twists and turns as it unforlds.
Oh, that was beautiful! I can't wait to read more!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, I hope you will continue to enjoy the story. It is nearly complete. One mroe chapter will be posted in the next week or two and it will be complete.
You mean this is just Albus playing God again? How tiresome! Sev and Herms should refuse to pair up just to spite the old bastard. Severus can move on to the afterlife (a SEPARATE afterlife from Albus, the Marauders, and cold-hearted Lily), and Hermione can get herself a life, preferrably in Australia with some nice lesbian.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I sense this is not your kind of story. I have had many wonderful reviews so it is liked by a lot of people. Sorry it's not working for you.
Response from Very Small Prophet (Reviewer)
I liked this story (bearing in mind that griping about Hermione being immature is part of the fun) until I discovered it was all due to Albus-ex-machina, the evil puppetmaster who won’t let Severus go free even after they’re both dead. It doesn’t matter how good his intentions are: manipulation is still manipulation. Severus deserves freedom to find, or not find, his own happiness. I suppose I will have to give up on the story, just so I won’t be constantly irritating you with outraged comments. Too bad. I was enjoying it otherwise. But Dumbledore's smug, cheerful dictatorship simply infuriates me.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I"m sorry it was impossible for me to tell you liked the story from your "griping" as you put it. It may be fun for you but you might understand by your reviews I wouldn't be able to see that. By all means finish the story if you like it. Must they be all outraged comments?
Such a beautiful chapter. Well done!Looking forward to seeing baby Snape and how you wrap this story up!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, I hope you wil enjoy the soppy happyending :)Thanks for your review.
This is a lovely story.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you so much, one chapter left to go. :)
Hermione sure is sensitive. A little bit of shouting and she spends all evening giving Severus the cold shoulder, Lily Evans fashion, and then cries herself to sleep. What sort of an emotional wimp is that girl? She needs to develop a tough skin and a quick come-back if she expects to associate with the Dreaded Potions Master on a regular basis. He’s not the Sensitive New Age Guy of her fantasies, and the sooner she realizes it the better.
P.S. Shouldn’t people be calling Hermione “Professor Granger,” not “Madam Granger?”
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes, I guess people should have called her Professor. I started writing this so long ago, at elat two maybe three eyars ago I made that error right off and didn't get it pointed out to me till way into the middle so I left it that way.Well you have to start somehwere and grow your characters toward eachother.
I don't wanna leave this story. *pout* It's so good I can tell you right now, it's definitely going into my keeper list and probably even onto my ereader so I can read it any time I want to. ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you so much. I'm so glad you have enjoyed it and have kept the reviews coming. It makes me happy to kow you will hang on to it. I have a Kobo reader but have no idea how to convert my stuff to it. I would love to ahev my stories on it.I hope you enjoy the Epilouge it's in the Queue.
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
www.calibre.com is a free program that will convert ebooks to other formats after you download it to your computer. I have converted .doc files to .pdf and been able to download them onto my Literati which also accesses Kobo books. Does this help? ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you I will try that out.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)

THIS IS SUCH A WONDERFUL STORY. I HATE TO SEE IT END, BUT I HAVE ENJOYED EACH CHAPTER, RELISHING THE "GROWING PAINS" OF THIER LOVE AND LIFE TOGETHER. SO MANY UPS AND DOWNS, (I FEEL LIKE AN ELEVATOR) AND LOVING EACH ONE. I THINK THIS IS MY FAVORITE STORY ON TPP, BUT YOU MAY TOP THIS ONE! WHO KNOWS? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR THE FINALE. BRAVO! JIMBO
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)

Loved all the unique elements and the calm, loving tone. Thanks for writing!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you! I really appreciate your kind comments.Thank you for the review.
Loved the idea of honeymooning in a magical treehouse! So happy they're finally bonded. I loved this chapter. :) I have really enjoyed this story and plan re-reading from start to finish once the last chapter posts! I'm going to NYC to see Seminar on March 1st (just to see Mr. Rickman). I am beyond excited- should be fun!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, I have such a fondness for tree houses. I spent a lot of fun times in my small one. I dream of living in one. The Disneyland tree house is always fun to climb. I hope you enjoy the story again when you re-read it. I'm so happy you like it enough to do that.I wish you the very best trip to NYC to see Mr. Rickman. I saw the play on Jan. 4th. It was wonderful. We went to a Matinee and had to come back later in the evening to see him (as he doesn't sign autographs after mantinees.) We got the autographs and a few picutures. There is a youtube video called: Alan Rickman signing playbills after Seminar.http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Alan+Rickman+signs+playbills&oq=Alan+Rickman+signs+playbills&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=12&gs_upl=2921l15227l0l18122l28l23l0l10l1l0l635l4012l2-4.3.3.1l11l0I am the woman behind his left shoulder with the red and white scarf. My friend in next t me in gray. We had already gotten our autographs.Let me know how it goes.:)
Response from Kimberleev (Reviewer)
Will do! Where did you go to get his autograph?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
There is a door, sort of a hall/alley way just a little ways from the theater door on the same street. They will set up barriers on either side and you stand behind them. Those closest to the front will get autographs. He doesn't stay too long. Whe he signs your autograph look inot his eyes. He was looking up at each person as he handed the playbills back. You get that one second or too of eye contact its nice.
I can't wait for the last two chapters to get put up so I can go through and read the whole thing all over again! :) have to reaquaint myself with the story a little bit. and for the record: coolest tree house EVER.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, I hope you will enjoy reading it all together when its done. I'm sure there will be a few inconsistancies. Thank you. I've always loved tree houses. Would love to take a vacation somewhere exotic and stay in one. They have great ones for rent in different countries....but then there might be bug and snakes ...shudder. LOLThank you for your review.
Very interesting information about the treehouse.Looking forward to seeing how you wrap this story up!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I'm glad you enjoyed the tree house. I love tree houses.I hope with in the next few weeks you will have your answer. I am adding the last chpater in a few minutes to the Queue. Thank you for your review.
Only two more? Are you sure? Couldn't you keep going? Pleeeeease? ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
So far nothing more has occured to me. I guess I could think of and add some one shots evenually. Like windows looking into whats happening in their lives. I will think on it. Thank you for your kind comments and review.
Only two more chapters left, how very sad that this wonderful story is coming to an end. When you finish a story such as this the ending is bittersweet. The journey has been wonderful and I can't tell you how much I appreciated and enjoyed each and every chapter. I will find it difficult and sad to close the book on this one. Though I will have it in my favorites and most likely it will not take me too long before I start re-reading it from the beginning again. :-)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you for the kind comment. I am glad you have enjoyed reading it. If you read it again let me know. It has been a long process and I am glad to see it near the end. I have started a new story but usually like to be done or nearly done before I post something. If you re read again enjoy. Thank you for the review.
Excellent... can't wait for more :)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, my friend. I appreciate the comment.
Response from Marty21 (Reviewer)
You are quiet welcome and please don't let a few nasty reviews get you down. I read one or two and thought they were really rude.
So jealous of their treehouse honeymoon, although I agree with Hermione about the heights...Looking forward to seeing baby Snape!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I'm so glad you liked the tree house. I only got one or two other reviews on the honeymoon. I thought most people must not like it. I love tree houses. I often look photos up on the internet. There are some beautiful ones. People can be so creative. There are only three more chapters to this story. Two are in the Queue right now and I hope one will get posted soon.
I really want to stay in that tree house! Now I can't wait for the baby, so let's hurry this along, shall we?. I am impatient when it comes to babies, especially when it belongs to such a deserving couple. Hogwarts will most certainly never be the same. :)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the tree house. We have three more chapters. I hope you will enjoy them and let me know what you think. We will experience a birth before the story is done.
Yeah! First review! A lovely chapter for a lovely tree, but I had to laugh at this typo: It had widows that hung down when they were open. Rather loose widows, weren't they? ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
So far only review, is it that bad? Thank you I'm glad you liked the tree. I will go fix the typo. I'm surprised it got passed us. Is the honeymoon no fun?
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
224 people have read this today and I have only your review, which I appreciate so much. I'm just wondering what wrong with the chapter?
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
There's nothing wrong with the chapter other than a couple of typos in terms of execution. It's beautifully written with quantities of attention to detail. Maybe the other readers didn't have time to write a review. Not everyone does. ^_^
Wonderful take on a bonding. Simple as they wanted. Thank you. This was a wonderful Christmas present!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. merry Christmas to you.
That was a lovely reception for their bonding.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
For a story that was only supposed to be fifty chapters (I believe that's you said in the beginning) it seems to be getting away from you. *grin* Of course, most good stories do tend to go their own way and this, in my opinion, is one of the best. ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
You may be right, well as we went along I realized things didn't get adresses. I know for sure the actual contest was a new chapter. The Malfoy chapter was written as I went along and the Epilogue. I think I also expanded one it two....Thank you for such a wonderful comment.I'm glad you are enjoying it.
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
Ain't it the truth! I finished NaNoWriMo thinking I had only a couple of chapters left of the Damsel & Dragon sequel I was writing. Instead, I've finished another three chapters and still have more to write. And on it goes. ^_^
I am really looking forward to the bonding night where they can just relax and spend time together now that the craziness of the bonding has past. I am glad that Lucius was on his best behavior and that we will get to see a bit more of him in the upcoming chapter.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I hope to get that chapter loaded into the Queue today or tomorrow. With the holidays apon us we must all be patient me included....I'm glad you are enjoying the story.
Aw... :( Why? Why? Check the site every single day for a new chapter but... So anxious for the last episode...
Awesome story never the less. :)
Best regards!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I'm sorry its not posting fast enough. It really quite a long process and I egt impatient too. Plus everyones dealing with Christmas and the holidays.I'm on my way out of town in a few days myself Ill be heading to Ohio then New York to see Alan Rickman's play :) I just wish my health would settle down.
I actually think it is more fitting that they get married on the beach since it is a place that they love so much. And Lucius truly seems to be on his best behavior, and I hope that continues. I love stories where Severus and Harry are mature enough to be friendly once all of the war business is over and done with. I look forward to the bonding ... and the night of ;)
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you. I think in this story their heart is at this cottage on the ocean. Especially severus'. I think you will see in the next chapter who Lucius really is as we follow him home. The Bonding night will follow after that one :)Thank you for the review and I look forward to hearing from you as this story comes to its conclusion in the next 6 chpater, I believe.
Things are going so well. That makes me both happy and nervous.I am glad that Severus and Hermione are able to accept the fact that Dumbledore left him his fortune. He really does deserve it after all of this, and it will make them feel good to do things for others with the money. Maybe Azkaban could use some funds.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Don't be nervous. I think you will enjoy it.Good idea about the funds for Azkaban. Wish I'd thought of that :).Thank you for your comments
