Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Poor Scorpius. I just feel sorry for him.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I do too and I work with him a lot in coming chapters. I never even thought to write about him but he sort of took over and became alive:)I hope you enjoy it all.Thank you for the review
EXCELLENT!!! I look forward to future chapters....
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, another one will be int he Queue tonight. I'm so glad you are enjoying it. Thank you for the review.
Scorpious is spelled funny.
While it's unfortunate that such a scummy pustule as Draco survived long enough to breed, it's lovely to know that the Malfoys have fallen on hard times. Poor Astoria though.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yeah he was pretty gross, but every one can be rehabilitated or can change. Ok I dont know who Astoria is :)Did I get Scorpius wrong? Unually the Ladies catch everything. I'll check it out thanks.Thank you so much for the reviewOh looked up Astoria (I hadn't caught that he married someone besides Pasty Thanks for pointing that out) If I ahven't mentioned his wifes name I can fix that Thanks.
Your story has taken an interesting turn. I can't really remember reading a story where Scorpius hates Severus. I'm looking forward to reading more.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, I thought I'd answered this one already. I don't really know where that came from but it playes a hefty part of the coming story and I hope you will like what I do with it.Than you for reviewing and your comments.
Well, things couldn't go along pleasantly for long, could they? But gosh, g, he's not even visible yet!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Well once thats taken care of there are some tough times still and some fun things as well :) You got to have some interludes to make yourself sigh with relief and smile. It hard to know where to stop this one :)
What a sad little boy.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes he is, thank you for your comment
FINALLY! Finally someone mentioning BRUSHING TEETH before they start making out right after waking up. NO ONE DOES THAT. Thank you.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
LOL Your welcome. Thank you for your comment.
I'm in love with your story! Keep writing! It's excellent!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you. Oh I'm writing, working on ch 46 or 47 now. I also added a ch 1 to a new story to the queue today.Thank you so much for letting me know you like it :) It's very much appreciated.
What an interesting chapter you've given us. I loved their first night in their rooms after Poppy allowed Severus to leave the Infirmary. I have this mental picture of watching a towel walk out of the bathroom. Seeing them work through the limitations the spell places on Severus is a wonderful study in true caring. Nice!Albus Severus is a darling child, and I was delighted to see how Severus responded to him. I'm looking forward to the talks the two of them have about the theory of Potions. Now about Scorpius... that poor child has spent his whole life hearing about how all the bad things that have befallen the Malfoy family are Snape's fault. From the description of his planning to hurt Severus via Hermione, I'd guess neither Lucius nor Draco have managed to see the error of their ways. Pity, that. Maybe something will come along that will change the boy's outlook. At any rate, it promises to be a busy time for all.Great update, Jeannie. I'm looking forward to the next one!Beth

Wow what a review. I'm glad you enjoyed their first physical encounter. I thought he might want to please Hermione even thought he can't go all the way with her. For someone who had nearly no physical care for years he would enjoy just beng touched everywhere. She would help him reconnect to life nad his body.Albust is a very nice gently careing child. He's a chip of the old block once remosed from the old pejudices of Harry's generation. He can be gentle and kind and think the best of people. There is a greta deal to the story of Scorpius but there is also a lot of interludes and development with Hermione ad Severus. I think you will ejoy what happens.Thank you, Its in the Queue, but it's very full could take 10 days or more. I added Ch 1 of A Time for Goodbyes and I've writen chapter 2 already. Thanks Beth,Jeannie
oohh nooo! The last thing they need is Scorpious running around looking for revenge! Albus Severus is so sweet!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Scorpius plays quite a part in the continuing story, but there will be tons of good SS/HG stuff as well and some sexy fun. LOLThank you for your comments.
AWW THAT WAS SWEET, THERE A BAD APPLE IN THE BUNCH.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, thank you for your comments. Yes Scorpius is bad, I hope you will like what I do with him.
Aw, I like Scorpius! Still, I guess he can't be an okay kid in every fanfic... I shall just hope that perhaps he will eventually come around and be decent. Loved the conversation between Albus and Severus, though! I imagine it helps that Albus has red hair and not black, so that Sev isn't subconsciously equating him with Harry/James and reacting accordingly. Look forward to Severus being able to put some of his emotional baggage regarding Harry behind him, and moving forward with his life. His assistance in the Potions classroom does raise some interesting questions--once he's entirely free of the stasis spell, what will Severus do with his life? I can just see Hermione offering to step aside and give him the faculty position back, but I don't think Sev would particularly want it on his own. I could see him being amenable to sharing the job, with each of them taking some of the classes, but not taking it completely away from Hermione. Potions honors classes, perhaps? Looking forward to seeing Scorpius' master plan unfold (and foiled, of course)!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
LOL Considering your thoughts I think you may like how this story playes out. Scorpius plays a rather interesting part as well as Lucius as this story evolves. We do see what Severus will do later on in the story at least the plans for it. Since it's not finished I'm not sure how far it will all go. Potion's Honor class, Hummm an idea... Severus will find a lot of thigs to keep him busy as the time goes by. I hope you will enjoy the story as I develope the boys and their part in this story.
Ah, that Dumbledore...even as a painting, he still believes that he knows what's best for everyone else! Ordinarily, I would say that his plan left far too much to chance--there was no way to insure that Hermione would have returned to Hogwarts and the Shrieking Shack at the "right time". She might have felt a compulsion to visit Severus' gravesite when she was still too young, or she might have become a Hogwarts faculty member as an old woman. In the latter case, the spell would have worn off on its own beforehand according to Dumbles, but would he have had to go through all that layers business then? Just once, I'd love to see Dumbledore be proven completely wrong about something he was so sure of (not at Sev and Hermione's expense, of course), just to take him down a peg or two!I'm enjoying that the layers go away as he gives of himself for the protection and safety of others--is it the sacrifice of himself for anyone else, or is it specifically keyed to Hermione? Love gives the impetus for self-sacrifice, but there's love for friends and family as well as romantic love. If Severus put himself on the line to protect Poppy or Minerva, would it have the same effect as doing the same for Hermione? I'd like to think so.Okay, I can't stand it any longer, I'm going to have to stop typing and get on to the next chapter!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I always thought that the compultion for Hermione to return was part of the spell. Yes there was a lot of chance. Sorry I guess there are a lot of holes in the plan.No I think in the 20 years when the spell was done Severus would have found himself sitting on his backside on the floor of the shreiking shack, free of all the layers of the spell. Free to pick up a life os sorts. Sadley a lot of what he knew would have gone on with out him. But he was always very resourceful and would have figured out what to do. That is itself is another very different story.I think it could have been giving of himself for others, but with Hermione having walked into and been attached to the spell. It is his feeling for her that is breaking down the barriers. But maybe your right if it had been others. It may have worked as well. But really the whole thing is Severus' giving of himself.LOL Now I'm on to see what your wrote for the next chapter. Thank you for such a long review.
oh boy I'm glad Albus Potter talked to Severus. You know I think that Malfoy Kid better watch his step and not try anything stupid But then again he is a Malfoy and they are prone to thinking so highly of themselves and think everyone is beneath them. Sheesh.... what an arrogant shit oh well like father like son like grandfather lol Can't wait to see what happens.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
LOL Yes for now she is an arrogant shit. Yep Malfoys are annoying and they do play important part in future chapters. War can change some people and make other even more angry.I hope you like the way the story plays out and is still a work of progress. Thank you for the review.

Response from Marty21 (Reviewer)
Yes I do love they way the story is playing out. I just feel that Scoprious is only getting one side of the whole story and can't seem to wrap in around his brain that there are two sides to every story.
I think it's a bit presumptuous of Dumbledore to think that all of those things would eventually happen. And really, what if she'd found the wand when she was a teenager still? But anyway, it's just proof that Dumbledore is the biggest manipulator that ever lived.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
LOL Yes he was, I always try to see the good side but I guess that doesnt mean that there a nasty side to him too. Yes a lot of things were left to chance or was it woven into the spell. Not sure we ever know.:)Thank you for the review.
Ahhhh.... a cliffhanger:)This story continues to remain interesting and unique:) I'm glad to see the newest chapter so soon and look forward to more:)Brava!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I try to make cliffys now and then. I will put the next chapter int he Queue today :)Thank you. I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Thanks for the review.
Ooooh! Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to become a bit bumpy from here on out! ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes, it does, there are hard times and fun time ahead. Thanks so much for your review. I really appreciate your comments :)
I loved Severus' interaction with young Albus. Very sweet. But I do hope someone discovers this plan of Scorpious. Perhaps if he goes after Hermione that Severus could save her and ALL the layers would be gone???
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Hey hang in there, You have a good guess there. Scorpius layes into some chapters that I hope people will appreciate. There is a lot of drama and some history from Severus. I hope people will like how it all resolves it self. Amid the drama I hope we will all have some fun. Thanks so much for the review.
Oh great Scorpious is going to break another level of the spell isn't he? Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Good guess, but why are his actions breaking the spell. :)Thank you I'm glad you like it. I hope the next few chapters will get us through this all and on to some drama and fun.Jeannie
Oh no... not another Blame It On Dumbles plot device... :_(
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Sorry if that disappoints you. I really don;;t see it as a blame it on. He had Severus' best intrest at heart and we would not have a story with out him. This story goes far beyond the bubble which is solved in a few chapters. The story is now in its 47th chapter. We have hard times and we have some sexy fun with HG/SS.
ha! i knew it was albus!! great update and many thanks and smoochies
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes you did, good job!!! LOL I'm glad you enjoyed the story, thanks for the review.
:) Hehe, I knew it was Albus:) A very satisfying chapter:) I hope Severus doesn't turn stubborn and try to reject what he's feeling:)I love this:)Brava!Fizzabella
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yep you and a couple others LOL Guess I can't fool you. As I read the next chapters there a lot of ups and downs but they are strong people and they feel a great deal for eachother even if ye ol Potions master doesn't want to believe it. Thank so much for the review.Jeannie
Love the twist that it was Dumbledore that cursed him and not Voldemort! Should be interesting to see how Severus and Hermione react once they know it was him. Too true though that Minerva shouldn't interfere by letting them know it was him. It is better that Severus work for his happiness instead of to just counter the curse. I look forward to seeing how it works out!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you. I'm glad you liked the story line. He did care for Severus I think. I would hope that he would have tried to help him in anyway that would have occured to him. I refuse to believe in Cannon endings :)Yes Severus and Hermione deffinately have to work for their happiness. I'm having to review the earlier chapter to egt them posted and have forgotten all the up and downs :(. I'm curently working on ch 47.Thank you for the kind review.
I knew he couldn't have escaped without any harm from the exploding cauldron, and those burns sounded like they would hurt like Hades. Hermione acted very quickly to alert Madam Promfrey who worked her considerable magic healing to ease his pain and speed his healing.I loved the way Minerva called Albus to account, but he is as incorrigible as ever, and I have to agree with what he told her about releasing Severus. The Potions Master and The Potions Mistress will work through those layers and when the time is right, the layer around his heart will disappear.I wonder what Minerva will tell the students who saw their teacher taking care of someone they cannot see? And the faculty and staff... what will she tell them. This keeps getting gooder and gooder!Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes, they did hurt like Hades. Thank goodness for magical potions. Don't you wish we had the ability to heal burns like that or regrow bones? It makes me cry when I see people so inured and the world I mntally live in makes it all go away so quickly. The only thing thy don;t seem to heal is magical mental injuries.I thought Minerva did a good job of taking Albus down a peg, but then all he does in twinkle back at her. I loved th first Albus, now the second one I can see as a much harder man. But when he drank the potion in the last film he finally was worthy of being called Albus Dumbledore.I think your next concern is taken care if in either the next chapter or the one after. There is a time of healing.Thank you again so much for your wonderful review. I always look forward to them.Jeannie
Mercy! I"m glad Severus is alright. At times I think Dumbledore is wise but the rest of the time he is a damn fool lol. I just love how Minerva raked his painting over the coals like that. Great job
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
You have Albus right there. Just becasue he thinks it's right it doesn't always mean it is. Thank you, the world of Portraites is a very odd idea. I havea tendancy to think that painting harbors their souls. That that relaly is Albus. The paintings are windows to the other world of death in the wizarding world.Severus faces obsacles a plenty in this story but he has a good woman who loves him with her whole heart and supports him and I think thats all Severus ever needed.Thank you for the review.
