Reviews for Hilltop Cottage
She really needed to get those bottled-up feelings out of her system and allow herself to grief.I wonder if Snape noticed her prior to her following him ... hm, life is full of coincidences; she inheriting a cottage in the same town Snape lives is just one of them.I like the opening chapters of this story a lot.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks so much. I hope you enjoy the rest x
Oh wow, what an interesting way for them to see each other. A brilliant chapter. I'm looking forward to the update.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks. Next two chapters are in the q.
Response from kittyperry (Reviewer)
Excellent :) Can't wait.
Poor Hermione, almost cast aside by her friends after they didn't need her anymore. Or so it feels.I wonder where she is headed now.One minor thing: although with the German spelling reform in many words the spelling has been changed from ph to f (Photo -> Foto), I've never seen the name Adolf spelled with a ph.

You know, when I read it I thought it didn't look correct, and that's what it is! Thanks! I'll amend it!
A bit of a chilling last line. Poor woman. She needs to cry some more, I think. All joking aside, I'm glad she's working through all of this. I assume many war victims spend years bottling it all up. Two years is a long time to not grieve.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
No, two years is nothing really. Time will tell. And she may need help...
I'm so excited to see where this story will go! I love it already - the setting, the circumstances, Hermione's desperate wish for independence and some solitude. Also, I love the idea of grampa's little cottage on the hilltop ... that's exactly what I'd love to inherit too! Cheers! Brava! Update soon again, please!

Thank you very much! Smilies too... wow! I really hope you enjoy the rest x
Oh, dear. Well, he didn't seem to notice her, but she won't be able to let it go, I know.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Exactly - she's a nightmare, nosey thing!

You promised Chinese food!
Author's Response: Good things are worth waiting for... It's on it's way...
Lovely, lovely story, thank you!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thank you so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed it :)
This story is amazing.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Bless you! What a lovely thing to say!
LoL from his ponderings in his kitchen to the hug - it seems that he might be more attracted to her than he is aware. It was so sweet of him to comfort her. I wonder what he'll make of the garden?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
He does like her more than he would care to admit, but I imagine he's a bit scared and doesn't know what to do.
LOL she set up her garden as he suggested he would, didnt she? That's so sweet. I love that they were at the same takeaway and ordered the same thing.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
They need points of conncetion. It works, I think!
That was great! Poor Hermione! What an awful dream. I'm glad Snape didn't get scared and run or something.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I think he's a little bemused by it all actually - and obviously enthralled by Hermione!
Response from mimmom (Reviewer)
Poor Severus isn't accustomed to anyone caring about him in any way so I'm not surprised at his bemusement. JKR was very mean to Snape but then maybe if he'd had it easier he wouldn't be such an interesting character.

Finally. Chinese food.
Author's Response: Finally! lol... yum. Now I'm hungry!
Ahhhh! Love this!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Oh, thanks so much - really glad you like it ! x
Aw, neelix, I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying this story. But really, did you have to leave it right there? Absolutely amazing is what he felt? I'm glad. Hopefully, he won't muck it up by 'coming to his senses' or something of the sort. He does realize that that's what her dream meant, right?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
That's exactly what her dream meant, but he probably doesn't see the symbolism. I'm just glad he understands the depth of feel she has now.
He's not going to manage to stay away, I don't think.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I don't think so either. It's love. He just doesn't know that yet!
That was brilliant. I could feel Hermione's fear and felt a sense of relief myself when he responded to her. Great job!Livvy
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks Livvy, glad you enjoyed the chapter x
Ok crying now....OMGosh I love this chapter...It's wonderful...Now he knows she really does care, I hope he won't push her away....WELL DONE!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Gosh. I don't think I've made anyone cry before! Glad you enjoyed the update. x
Oh, I hope we aren't on high angst alert. What a way to start what may or may not be a first date :) I'm glad that he is well and truly over Lily, but I hope she has not ruined him for future relationships. Another great chapter!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Well, this is Severus, and angst seems to be his bedmate most of the time...
Oh, my. That certainly was a doozy of a nightmare. I am glad that Severus is willing to help her work through her nightmares, especially after he has already decided to tell her that he does not think she should entertain any thoughts of him as a paramour. Then he felt her arms around him. And have started. Wonderful story - Sara
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks, Sara! So glad you're enjoying it x
I thought for a minute there was going to be something completely inappropriate on her T-shirt! :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
hahaha! Something to do with Wizards and brooms, maybe?
Wow. I love your story. I never really saw Bella and Severus together, but it makes sense in your story.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It wasn't through choice. I imagine the Dark Lord would have found it amusing to force Severus into that situation against his will, and exert his power at the same time.
I'm happy their frienship is already shifting towards something more romantic. Of course they're not aware yet but it doesn't matter. I'm happy still.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I'm happy you're happy!
