Thanks Kimjo - have a lovely Chrsitmas xx
Just discovered your story tonight. I am so grateful for all the research you've done on Severus' "home town"! I'll have to go look it up, myself. Having these very real details in makes the story come truly to life.I am enjoying your slow development of your characters, and am looking forward to more. I do hope your next chapter comes along soon.

Hi
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
, very pleased you're enjoying it. I have to say this was my favourite story to write and I've loved every minute of it!
Yeah, women are crazy, aren't they? Nice to see he has fond feelings towards Minerva. I love her too!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Minerva was probably always up front and honest and I think he apprecaites that, plus she probably mothered him!
Hello. I am really enjoying your story. The chapter was really well written and I love the way Hermione and Severus interact.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Cheers, Kitty, very pleased you're enjoying it x
Great chapter. I am really enjoying the story. I love the characterizations. The letter from Minerva was a nice touch, too. I am contemplating not reading anymore until it is complete so I can savor it all in one go. How many more chapters are there?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
mmm... there are 49 chapters, I think - it's 40-something, anyway!
Response from GryffKat (Reviewer)
Wow! Don't know that I can wait that long, lol. Thanks. I love a long story. Cheers.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... I have never written anything this long, so I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
I do hope he will find himself walking in font of her house and she will be working in the garden and he'll propose to help her and they'll work for hours and they'll be sweating so he'll take his shirt off and OMG and they kiss and marry... *grin* Am I close?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol.... hahahaha.... roflmao!I wish I'd thought of that... but no, not quite like that. Close, though! lol
lol, even i have troubles understanding other females, and i'm a girl! Lovely chapter. i like how you keep putting in little bits of backstory here and there, it gives the story just that little bit extra that makes it stand so well. Hermione writing the letter to apologize to Severus fits her so very well. I'm truly enjoying your story, and i can't wait for the next installment.

Thank you so much

. I rwally want people to be able to immerse themselves in their world!
Her letter was perfect. I know it got to him, even if he doesn't see it.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Well, It definately has the desired effect.
Well, it seems her care in choosing the right words for her letter paid off. I hope he will take her up on her offer to stop by. I like the way their relationship (or whatever you want to call it at this stage) is building. My favorite stories are the lengthy ones where their feelings grow slow, and steady. It is more realistic, and really makes it worth it when they finally get there. That having been said, I am really anxious for them to make some significant progress. Thanks for another great chapter!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It won't be long before there is progress, I promise you!
Loving this so far, and I am waiting eagerly for more soon! (I know, you just posted this chapter, but I'm a fast, impatient, and greedy reader - when it comes to good writing.) Keep it up!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Me too Stephanie, thank you so much for the enthusiasm! Next chapter is queued.
Severus is always hard to read.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes, he is. I love that about him!!
Well that was totlaly uncalled for! Of course he stormed away. How amuzing that Severus knew her great grandfather and is peeking from the net in the photo. Boy, does she owe him huge appologies!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
bless him though. He's a bit sensitive I think!
I loved how he simply helped himself in her home, acting more the host than she was. cute. She handled the warning well.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... well, she's his ex-student so I suppose their relationship has always been that he's the one in control!
LOL so much for solitude. He's going to go find her, isn't he?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
read your reviews back to front! yes... yes he is, otherwise, short story!
Oh, she followed him home? I wonder what he thinks about that?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I imagine you know by now! lol
Oh her great grandfather sounds like a dear man. Too bad he didn't know Hermione all that well except from photos.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
mm... he's perhaps not what he seems and I think that's true of all families. What is one person's perception of a family member may not be reality!
Oh, I think I'd bugger out of the job as well - or is just a impromptu vacation?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Both, I think!
what a facinating update. those two are definately at cross purposes. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thankyou!
Does that mean she own Snape's house as well? I'm curious there.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I thought of that but no - it says in an earlier chapter that Snape bought the house for his mother :)
Love snarky Snape and stroppy Hermione! Even if she is going to apologise to him :) Looking forward to more.SGx
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
They have to have their spats, otherwise, where will the passion come from? Glad you're reading x
Hm... interesting.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Very verbose! I hope that means you enjoyed it at least a little bit?
Cool chapter, thanks for the the thanksgiving update.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Happy Thanksgiving! *pretends she knew, but being English, didn't*
ohh! exciting. I like how Hermione is standing up for herself.lovely chapter.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks!
Not quite sure why that's so terrible... his face in the window. Oh, I know she ticked him off, or embarrassed him, but I'm glad she spoke her mind. He will eventually see that she's not the little girl he remembers.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I think it's more the fact that his picture was in her home. He thought she was being duplicitous and knew more about him than she was letting on - I perhaps should have clarified that bit.
