They are going to spend a whole lot of time dancing around each other, aren't they?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)

Chicken lo mein.
Author's Response: No. What is Lo Mein? Have heard of Chow. No Lo...
KingPhilipsWench's response: Chow mein has cabbage in it. Lo mein does not. Usually made with flat noodles, a meat of some sort, and sprouts. Man... that sounds good.
Author's Response: That does sound good. But not for breakfast! *goes back to prridge and blueberries*
KingPhilipsWench's response: The quest for a decent Chinese restaurant still goes on here in Brighton... :(
Aww, she felt terrible and he gave her comfort. (Against his better judgement.) But things seem better and hopefully he can help her more. LOL, in more ways than one.

lol.... I really hope so. In the meantime, there's gardening to be done :)
Awww! The beginning of a friendship. I'm glad he came to her.

So am I. They belong together in my opinion.
Is she going to become alcoholic? It should be time that her dark knight come to rescue her. *wink*
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I don't think so - I had her losing it in 'Darkness Within' - I don't have another self-harm story in me!
She might be having a bit of a breakdown. I'm not sure isolating herself will help her.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I agree with you

, I think she's on the verge. Luckily she has a super hero in black to help out!

I still have no Chinese food. I want prawn fried rice.
Author's Response: Well, Severus is allergic to seafood, so we'll have to be patient and see what he likes.

I like the idea of Severus being proactively protective of her, even when he just wants to be left alone.
Fish ball soup? Miso? Tease.
Author's Response: He's as protective of her as she was a know-it-all at school. It's inherent, he just can't leave well alone. No soup, of any kind. Keep guessing!
Thanks for the update. I had been saving it for later but I couldn't resist any longer. I am enjoying the story very much. I hope Severus gets to use her garden.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks so much!!! Glad you're enjoying it xxx
Lovely start. I like the idea of Snape going out of his way to save Hermione from publicity, and I am rather taken with the New Mills theory, having grown up only a few miles from there.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Lol... I did a lot of research on New Mills before I strted to write, got a feel for it and such - I even found a cottage to use for Hermione's home, but I moved it to Whittle Bank and changed the name! lol.. I hope you continue reading x
I'm glad he liked her response.

Ne too. Otherwise it would be full of 'chase me, chase me' and I get tired of that!
This is a gentle, charming tale. Well done, and , as I mentioned before, your pacing is excellent.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thank you, Pookah - I wanted something soothing!
‘I am very sorry, Professor. I don’t know what you must think of me.’‘I never know what that comment means. Do you wish to know what I actually think of you, or would you prefer I remain silent ?’I love that. It is so true. Another very nice chapter!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks! lol.. I do love writing Severus in this way - I like to think of him as one of life's observers.
ahh yes. nothing better than the proverbial cup of tea. to paraphrase bogey...looks like the begining of a beautiful friendship! thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I think you're right, a beatiful friendship indeed.
Lovely chapter. I love the way you write them both.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks!
He cares! How sweet... I'm looking forward to more!!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks, Gabi. Next chapters are almost up x
Wow! He's going to warn her! That's awesome.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes. He's caring, really!
It is a good story if I can't bring myself to stop and reivew until I have read all of the chapters that are currently available! I told myself I wasn't going to start this until it was done because I am in the middle of an obscene number of WIPs. My children drove me extra crazy tonight and I needed an escape and your stuff never disappoints. So, here I am and loving it. I'm actually glad that it is a long fic. I love a really good romance and even better if some yummy lemons are thrown in the mix, but, I really like it when they have to work for those things. A slow buildup is always good in my book. Looking very forward to more!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Ahh. Well I'm glad you found solace in my little story! It's been my absolute favourite to write so far, and I heart it, so I hope you enjoy the rest too!
Neelix...a good read already. Awaiting the next chapter
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
My thanks! The next chapters are queued x
Glad to see her getting around to her grief.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes. It's time for her.
So Snape finds his own consolation and freedom in his house. How nice of him to consider Hermione's desire for privacy. I think you are pacing this story very well.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks. I hope you're comfy. It wont end any time soon!
So now he needs to go to her. I love the way you are setting this up.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks so much. I hope you continue to enjoy it x
Wow. Another truly phenomenal chapter. I love the way you've brought in Severus' POV and given his musings on Hermione's presence. I'm hooked onto this story and am really looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks honey - the next chapter is in the queue and I'm about to add another. Please keep letting me know your thoughts. Thanks!!
Hmm....nice change in Hermione..not going charging thru his door...ever the curious..know-it-all...that must hav been really hard thing for her to do.....May i be so bold as to point out a teensy weensy spelling mistake?....2nd line of the whole chapter...last word...it should be wire...it's spelled weir.....hope u wud take notice...otherwise this chapter was a delight to read!!....
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Actually, I was correct in the spelling, because in Chapter Two, she was walking along the side of a weir.Wikipedia can help here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WeirHope that clarifies. Thanks for reading.
Response from poopotter (Reviewer)
Ohh..I am sorry...thats a new word for me...Thank u...I appreciate ur effort to clarify it for me....
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thats okay honey - we're all learning. Glad it helped, and I appreciate your sentiments. I would always want to know if there are errors in the story x
Maybe he has the same problems and to talking to each other might help them heal.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Good idea... let's see!
