Reviews for Hilltop Cottage
Hm, very interesting!I don't know your style yet. But judgin from the number of following chapters she's not going to commit suicide :DBut I honestly think that it's a cool thing that it would be possible - and that I would believe it. Sad but reasonable (er, don't get me wrong with that, but she's has been fallen into a huuuge hole here) for a person that once was the most needed brain around and is now just a number in an office.Sad. And believable.Very good.

Thanks very much. I hope you like the rest of it.
I love it that you took this five years into the future. They have settled in with each other, there are no more illusions, but still they are tender and loving. A wonderful story.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thank you so much. I wanted it to be real, and I think that it does take five years to establish something strong - which makes anything that shakes it all the more dramatic and poignant. I hope!
Mmm, I can't blame her for being disappointed. It will be her finest hour, or if she doesn't win, a great disappointment. Severus should be there.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes he should. *slaps Sev*
Another fine chapter. I do hope that this is the beginning of a renewed friendship between Harry and Hermione. They'll never quite get back what they had in their youth, but it would be nice for both of them to be more than just colleaguesWhat an exciting time for Hermione, and a sad occasion for their relationship. I can see why it would be a bad idea for him to go, but still, people know that they are a couple, and for him to not accompany her, kind of belittles their relationship to the public eye. Not to mention how it will make her feel, even if she is sympathetic to his reasons.Good or bad, can't wait to see what is coming next!

I think there is a chink in the armour now, definately. It won't be pretty!
Sigh. Poor girl. I don't know that he loves her as much as she loves him.

Someone else said that - interesting observation.
i see why you stopped when you did...it's all about quality not quantity! great update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It was just the right time to end that bit. Thanks!
I'm so glad they settled into their own cacoon. They are so perfect together. Great story.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Well... they might not be totally perfect...
good to have the childern issue out of the way. Did she start anykind of wrk = gainfull contribution to the financial situation? I'm glad he's moved in and they are happy, but it's stagnant.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It may appear stagnant to outsiders but it's what they both need. next chapter answers your questions.
Its good that he realized his advances would be welcomed. I like the equality they are trying to achieve.Harry's reactions to her were so cute. Half angry - half intimidated. I'm so glad that they are at least listening to each other rather than yelling or breaking things. He has valid points she needs to consider - she has shut herself away. Hopefully she can find peace and make up with her friends. as for job - in due time and something she enjoys, hopefully
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I think you're right about Harry and Hermione - she wants him as a friend and he wants her to listen, but they're both stubborn.
So saying that he was unable to sleep with her in the bed. Her reaction was so typical that it was heart saddening. Its sweet her wearing his shirt. The reaction of the press was expected - and Harry took it well Not. lol
love this story byw!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks so much! I loved writing it too!
Really a good chapter look forward to more soon I hope :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
well, thank you very much! I'm very pleased you're reading x
How sweet. It looks like things are working out. But what fun is a happy story? I can't wait to see what you throw into the mix next chapter. :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
You know me so well. lol!
I just wanted to hug him when he said, 'You would want my children?'. I love it when Severus is truly moved by something... even if he won't admit it. Great short chapter! I'm glad they're settling into things well, and that the Wizarding world is finally leaving them in peace. :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I know... he would be quite incredulous to know just how many of us would be willing to bear his children!
Oh, how I hate you! Wait... scrolls up... you said NOT to hate you! My bad...I thought that was lovely. I enjoyed him hiding for 20 minutes then asking if she wanted HIS children. Durz. Loving their easy relationship.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
hehe... I imagine him veering from the horror of children to thinking about what Their kids would look like, to the thought of her having kids with someone else and deciding hell, no way! lol
Cosy domesticity. I'm surprised Harry hasn't been around for a visit. :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... he wouldn't dare!
I don't mind a short chapter. It's a good story and a longer chapter definitely works but a well-written short chapter is good too. I love imagining the domesticity. I'm glad they're getting some peace.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
ahh, thanks so much xx
Hmmmm... *looks for reason to hate you**Progress is made in their relationship-no*The "you want kids?" talk without him freaking out-no*Practicing procreation (sounds like a bad sex ed film)-no*Cohabitating at Hilltop cottage-no*Being ignored by the magical community-no*Really short chapter-ye...oh, the next chapter is in queue? Well, I guess I am allowed to continue to like you. But... don't mess it up by making them do things that I wouldn't like. Got it? Thanks :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Given that so far I'm doing okay, I won't make any promises for fear of letting you down!
It is nice that they can just be Severus and Hermione.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I think it's what they both need.
That was a really pleasant chapter. So are you about to wrap things up or is this the calm before the storm?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
The latter... we're only half-way through and there's a storm brewing!
I kind of see Harry's side of things. I'm guessing that babies are going to come up in her next discussion with Severus? Harry seems to have planted a few seeds of doubt.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
You're right on all counts. I hope that doesn't mean I'm predictable?
Yes it is short but it so sweet. I love that Severus isn't against the idea of children. It might prove useful in the near future I guess (or at least hope).
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Let's go with 'hope so!'
That was great. I love the final note. Minerva's visit should be interesting. Heck, just to hear the conversation in her office when she reads the paper.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... the air would definately be blue!
‘Oh, shit,’ he said. ‘Minerva is going to kill me.’Hehe, no Howler from her, he/they can expect a personal visit
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I don't think so but that would have been fun!
Awwww, I'm glad everything is alright between them, and Severus isn't regretting his and Hermione's relationship. It's wonderful, and I hope they both give Harry Potter what for!I love it...Well done, I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next!...
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thank you so much. I am so happy that you're enjoying it!
hehe. I was so glad to see an update and it is a very good one :) I like how he's trying to handle getting used to a relationship but the very end of the chapter made me giggle a lot. Poor guy, I can just imagine her scolding him now hehe.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... thank you so much!
