Well, not the best of reactions, but it seems he has no choice but to make contact with her. Doofus. They both have assumed so much. Nasty of you to not let Severus receive that letter. Meanie author. (I seem to be calling you that a lot lately.)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I don't mind the name calling! At least I get a reaction, and that's what writing is about, after all!
A crescendo to the drum roll... we're getting closer folks! I bet Severus will know that Donovan is his the moment he lays eyes on him. I can't wait!!! Great update! Woohoo!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
You can almost smell it, can't you? lol... not long now x
I can't wait to find out what happened to the original letter. yes, I know you have plans.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
The letter mystery resolves itself in chapter 34. Well...part of it does...
love this hun! soz only just found it have been absent from pp for a while but looking forward to catching up :) might be trying to lure you into helping me soon :) xxx
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... well, here I am! Just email me. Hope you enjoy Hilltop Cottage x
I wait with more anticipation for your story updates than any other! Then I feel all giddy when I see an update. Not usual for me with this type of story line but you are doing an awesome job telling the story and of course, leaving us wanting more.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
oh, how lovely! Thanks so much. I am so glad you're enjoying it x
Wonder if he shall stumble inadvertantly upon the happy family taking breakfast for example. *grin*
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
aha... he may well stumble upon something... but I can't divulge my secrets!
Severus, you silly boy. He jumped to the wrong conclusion ages ago and is still sticking to it! AGG. LOL. I look forward to the next installment!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I know, lol... that's what makes this all such fun, though!
I can just tell what the note is. Something along the lines of "You can clearly tell Minerva's condition is grave, and I need access to your garden. I will stay out of your way. Send an invoice for property rental to Gringott's and it will be paid out of my private account" or some such horrifically impersonal such thing.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... perhaps... or perhaps it says something different... I know nothing!
I love your Luna, and while she doesn't want to meddle, she just may save the day by simply being Luna. Oh please let the note be something good. I don't expect that he wrote her poetry or anything, but maybe just a "welcome back, can we talk sometime?" would suffice. Or even a stiff, formal request for her help with Minerva. Anything that is not a "why the hell did you leave me? I am angry and will never forgive you" sort of letter. That will just drive us deeper into the ground. I am feeling hopeful, but you've made me wary of that emotion :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Oh, no! You must always have hope. The cup is ALWAYS half-full, honey - particularly with this sotry!
That was a very cleverly note from Hermione. She apologized sincerely without surrendering her poise.
Very nice chapter! This had me giggling: "How had they leapt from learning to be lovers to having children? Bloody Potter. "I thought the ending paragraph was very sweet!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I'm glad the story is making you laugh - I had a lot of fun living inside Severus' head for a while, I can tell you!
She's not going to take two years to read that one, is she? LOL Somebody get me a wand, These two both need a good 'wake me up' spell. Ooo, I like that one. Sounds like fodder for a drabble. :P
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yay if I inspired you to write! And I feel as frustrated as everyone else - get to the point, people! Not long to wait now, I promise.
Ahhhhhh...... I'm DYING here!!!! I almost think I need to wait until you have finished the story and THEN read it. I can't stand them apart :( I do look forward to an update on this SOON :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol.. I tend to do that too - there are 50 chapters in total so if you can stand the wait...
Damn!!! Here, I thought they were going to see each other. But I'm glad he wrote to her. I think Luna will be instrumental in them getting back together. The suspense is killing me, and it sucks that the chapters take so long to post from queue.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It does suck, I agree - but then on the other hand it's great that TPP is so popular and we get to reach such great writing that would otherwise never get an airing! It's a dual-edged sword.
I hoping again because Luna's there. And even if she doesn't want to interfere she'll be an ear and wise advice for both of them. Also I'm frustrated because I'm dying to know what Severus wrote to her. *bad author*
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
*giggles manically*That is all.
Did Severus ever get her note?
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Check the Author's note, chapter 30. :)
Lovely update... I can hear the drumroll in the background, leading up to when they finally meet. I love Luna and her matter of fact attitude, as well as the way she's giving them gentle nudges in the right direction. I'm sure she can tell how much they miss each other, even if they don't know it yet!I keep trying to figure out what happened to Minerva and Severus' letters. I'm assuming Owl post is pretty reliable, so it's got me very intrigued. Only time will tell... ;) Poor Minerva... I hope Hermione and Severus can come together to find a cure for her. What better way to rebuild what they once had than saving the life of a dear friend. Once again, I loved it! Keep up the good work!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol @ drumroll - it's so close you can almost smell the fear!
ARGH, nice cliffhanger! I so wanted to shake Hermione and yell, "READ THE NOTE, DEAR!" lolLovely angst in your story, throughout, truly--and you've captured the characters exactly. Well done!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... thanks so much. I wanted it to be real, and nothing happens perfectly there, does it/
I can't wait to see how Severus reacts to the baby! Please post more soon!!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Next chapters are queued x
Oh, poor Hermione. I would not like to receive a howler either!!! (But I guess Snape is worth it!)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes, he totally is worth it.
Hmmm. I'm confused. Why are chapter 27 and 28 the same chapter (superficially; I didn't do a "stare and compare")
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
They are the same, or were anyway - I posted the same chapter twice in error - it's fixed now so you need to go back to 26 and read on. Sorry!
I liked rereading Hermione's letter to Sev but I was a bit disapointed it wasn't a new chapter. *hope for something new sonn*
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I made a massive mistake in the posting - I posted the same chapter twice - you might want to go back to 26...
TORTURE! That's what this is.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I made a mistake in posting the chapters so I suggest you return and read 26 and 27 again. Sorry!
Thanks for the updates! an interesting twist. she is a lot calmer about being pregnant than I was when I found out. (and I was married. still am, actually)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I think it's shock. I found out I was pregnant the same day I sat my driving test - I drove the car into a metal post before I got out of the test centre!
