Reviews for Hilltop Cottage
Yes, he bloody well should have! Stupid, stupid man.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lmao... yep... and yep!
This is so much more likely a way for SS to behave than so many mushy Snapes we see. Looking forward to seeing if we have a happy ending. (And just what would a happy ending be?)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
LOL... THANK YOU! Finally, someone see's what I see! He's so damaged and makes the worst of mistakes. And yes, happy ending.... of course!
Yes, he should have. But he seems to like living a life of regret.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Exactly! It's a pattern he keeps repeating xx
Ohh Severus, poor thing. He's his own worst enemy. Not that that's anything new. LOL. I love this story.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks so much - and yes, he's a prat!
Great chapter! Every chapter, I keep feeling angry at Severus, and not at Hermione. I'm not sure if she is in the wrong and I am being blind to it, or if he is really all at fault. I know that he has had a life full of hurt, and one doesn't recover overnight, but there comes a point where you have to get over it and realize that something good is in front of you. It is understandable if he is frightened, or feeling vulberable, but for goodness sakes man, just talk to her. I think that Hermione has the ability to handle him with kid gloves, and in fact, I think she already has. But enough is enough. I hope any Severus sympathizers don't take offense at my anger towards him. I really do feel for him, I'm just not blaming her one bit for walking out. And sometimes I think it takes losing something to realize how much you want or need it. Fortunately, I think Hermione has the capacity to forgive him, once he comes to her ready to try. Thats going to happen, right? Gulp. Looking forward to more.

LOL! You're not the only one who is angery with Severus and I made him like that on purpose. I sometimes think that people who are damaged - as he is, defiantely - need to reach rock bottom before they start to look at themselves and take responsibility for what's happening in their lives. He is quick to look elsewhere for the blame, when in reality his own behaviours have created this situation - it's made him very unlikeable, just as it does in real life! Thanks for reading xxx
im actually crying. this chapter hit rather close to home.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Sorry. It did for me too, to be honest - I cried a lot writing this story!
Severus is a damn fool, he has some major work to do to repair the damage he caused. Great Chapter Neelix.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
He does. He's damaged too though, don't forget!
Response from Marty21 (Reviewer)
I didn't forget
I'm glad she went there immediately. It might not be pleasant right now but she can get to the bottom of this and hopefully, he'll understand.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Let's hope so...!
Boy is he lucky that she is persistent, and really loves him. Otherwise she might just go ahead and walk out the door. I can see where he is coming from. She is a pretty big deal with her new title and all, and she does have a social life, even if it is work related, but can he give her a little credit? If she wanted to end things, I think she would do so properly. I won't stop calling him a drama queen, until he stops earning the title. I was pleased to see, however, that when he thought he lost Hermione to someone else, he didn't blame her. I hope the next chapter is either titled, "Learning to Communicate" or "Hermione Kicks Some Ass."
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It's titled Twenty-Two.. lol! I purposely didn't title the chapters so as not to give too much away.
Oh! Such a short chapter! But hey, any update is better than no update at all! I hope she can talk some sense into him, and I hope he can let her know how he feels for once! Come on kiddies... listen to mommy.... and make up!!! Update soon!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
They seem to have their fingers in their ears...
Oh, silly, silly man. :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I know... *slaps Severus*
You said it would be ugly and it is. I don't think I would say that one day but that man's stupidity knows no bounds. I would hope that a good kick in his arse would help but... Maybe she should go after all. He may deserve a bit of suffering for assuming things.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
He's behaving like an arse, but then he's very damaged.
Response from snitchette (Reviewer)
Of course he is. but he could at least ask her. He has decided she was seeing someone else without letting her denied it or not. That's why he should suffer a bit after all it's his own fault.
He is such an idiot. Although, Hermione was being pretty stupid as well. She knows how insecure he is, so she should've at least attempted to let him know what's going on. I hope she gives him hell for thinking she would cheat.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
She does what she has to, that's for sure.
Oh that severus snape. So very insecure and unable to trust. Poor Hermione didn't deserve that. Some people just jump to the absolute worst conclusions.I can't wait to read what happens next.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It's sad but there are people like Severus in the world.
That was an eveil ending and I bet you already have the next part! Can't wait!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Oh yes, The whole story is finished, I'm just posting when I can! So that means I know what happens and am open to bribes.
Ack! What an evil place to leave that chapter lol. I hope she knocks some sense into the dunderhead!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... sorry!
Severus can be such an arse at times.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes, he can, but he's a damaged soul.
Erm... that's bad... she didn't even notice he moved out? What's wrong with her? Granted, he's being a dork. What did he expect if she constantly asks him to accompany her and he constantly tells her no? But these two have some work to do. Hopefully they'll figure it out.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It's not going to resolve itself any time soon.
Poor Severus. Hermione is so clueless right now. He pretty much broke up with her while she wasn't even there, and she doesn't even think anything of it. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter. I'm sure there's going to be some sort of fight between them. I just hope we don't have to wait another month before the next chapter's posted.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
You won't have to wait - I think it tells you at the bottom of the chapter page that the next one is in the queue, and in fact, I just added another - Unfortunately I had to find a new Beta, and there's no way my chapters would get past the admin without the once over by someone with better Comma control than me!
I am enjoying this story a lot. Looking forward to another chappie update. Thanks
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks - won't be long x
Oops. Should have been more observant, Herms! :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
She's in a world of her own - It happens so often in relationships that life goes on and people take each other for granted.
These two are really helpless. Of course I can inderstand Hermione being busy, but she should know that Severus' insecurities would come back full force with her absence. And Sev' *sigh* She didn't consider to invite him, well it serves him right. Should have thought of that earlier. I do think they really should sit and discuss the future.I'm curious to discoer when she'l realize he's gone. Will that help her to go to America with the pieces of her broken heart in her pocket? And when HE is done suffering he might join her and propose. That's the least I'm expecting ... *grin and wink*
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It's not going to be pretty and I aologise!
ohhh, dear. I can see some fun's a comin'!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Fun, tears... and more fun! Oh yes... and some renovations...
What can I say but, "Oh, No!"So now he will have had well over 24 hours to stew in his own juices and be QUITE well-brewed to a state of congealed self-pity by the time she realizes what's going on.When HE was the one who started the downward sprial, to begin with."What a man fears will come upon him"---because we bring it down on our own heads, by anticipating and expecting the thing we fear, then doing the very things that guarantee it will happen. Can't wait for your next!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
You see, I am very much a believer that you make your own reality and that thoughts shape that... hence Severus and his self-doubt and self-fulfilling stubborness!
