Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Great update! This sure is a right way to reach out to Scorpius! Can't wait to see more memories myself!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you. I think Scorpius needs a real hit int he gut to make him see what his grandfather told him was not the glorius truth. Thank you for reviewing the story.
let the memories begin. good start. I look forward to more trips down the torturuos memory lane. I just hope that both severus and scorpius survive.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, I trhink they will both suffer through the memories. Severus is going to realize how horrible it was and Scorpios is getting a real eye full.
We really don't know how much of an age difference there is between Lucius and Severus, do we? Just wondering myself...On another note, I am happy to see Scorpius is a little shaken by the gritty facts of being a DeathEater, and not proud of the glorified stories he'd heard. I only hope it continues and straightens him out.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I was told by the TPP beta that there was 4 years between their ages in Cannon. So I put that note as to her request. I thought severus should be older than 14 and Lucius any older probably would be out of school by then.Scorpius will really be hsaken by what he sees. He will have to decide which direction he wants to take his life. Thank you for the review.
so brave...i love LOVE this story! thanks for the update! hope to see more later!

Thank you, I'm glad you are enjoying it. It's been a labor of love we are about half way now.
I love the depth and originality of this story. Thanks for writing!

Thank you, I try to come up with new stuff. Makes it more fun to write. Your very welcome :)
Well, it's a sure thing that Severus' memories will cause Scorpius to stop and think--I hope that it will be enough to change his mind about his grandfather's ideals. I can't help but feel for Lucius as well, since be believes that his superior Pureblood mantra is all that he has left to him after the war.Even if Severus doesn't let Hermione view the memories with him, just knowing he has her love and support will be a blessing to him. Having her waiting for him afterwards is a balm to his soul. Right now, Scorpius doesn't have anyone to give him comfort and belonging but I hope that will change and he'll allow himself to be friends with Albus. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I hope so too :). We will see Lucius later in this story. I am not done with him yet. :). There are several stories with in this one comming up. I hope my readers will enjoy them. She will be there for him. He's not to keen on her seeing his past. Very insecure that she will not love him as much. Scorpius is a segnificant participant in this story.Thank you for yur large review :) Hope to have a new one up soon.
OMG! Those memories were brutal, and I hope they stay with Scorpius for a while. Maybe seeing another memory each day will convince him that his grandfather was bitter and that his stories about the glories of being a Death Eater were the lies of a tortured mind. This was a great chapter, Jenny. Very grim and very certain to make an impression on the young Malfoy... whether he is willing to admit it or not.Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes the memories will be brutal. It will give him some idea about what service to Voldemort was really like.It will not get easier for awhile. Yes, he will have some hard thing to watch. I hope to have another chapter up soon but we will have some fun in between or it would be too hard to take.Jeannie
Whew! *fans self* That little fantasy was pretty hawt! Rounding out the evening with a warm bath followed by wine and giggles sounds perfect.I completely understand why Severus would not want Hermione to be there when Scorpius views his memories, but if Severus has a hard time having to recall these memories, he may decide to allow her to be there, too, just to be a comfort to him.Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
LOL I thought so, my best ever. Thank you glad you enjoyed it :)She will be there to listen when he comes out of them. Thanks Beth,Jeannie
Scorpius' reason for choosing the Pensieve may have been only so that he could view his grandfather's "glory days," but I think he will be in for a shock. At least I hope so. Perhaps he will then decide that Lucius had been wrong about not only Severus Snape but the Potters, as well.I liked it when Severus and Hermione planned to work on their edge smoothing. And I can't wait for the Quidditch match between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Talk about inter-house rivalries! This will be fun.Beth
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes, Scorpius curiosty will open his eyes for sure. It will give him a LOT to think about.Oh gee not sure I ever wrote that scene with the game.... opps ducts and runs....Jeannie
Man, what a memory to share! I hope Scorpius isn't just looking at them withour thinking very hard. ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you Im glad you thought it was powerful. I want him to see if wasn't all Glory like Lucius told him.
How awful will the memories have to be to turn Scorpius away from his path? He won't enjoy seeing cruely inflicted on others will he? This should be interesting.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I think he will be shocked and it will give him a few things to think about. Plus most people respond to praise and care from others. Hope you like were it goes.Thank you for your review
WOW..great chapter..I so love this story, it is sooooo gooood!!! Poor Severus.. I hope he can find some peace over his past..Well done!!

Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
, I'm glad you enjoy the story. It is hard for him to revisit these memories but he feels Scorpius can be saved and thats what a good teacher does. Try to help their students.
wonderful! i truly hope they can save scorpius. thanks and smoochies
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
They are going to work hard at saving the boy. Thanks for the review :) I'm so glad you are enjoying this story.
Nope, I can't see Snape sitting around for an hour, waiting for Harry Potter to arrive to take over, then going along humbly under his witless leadership. Unless, of course, it's all a flawless Slytherin plot to rescue Hermione entirely on his own while keeping the dunderheads distracted by letting them imagine they're helping. By the way, Hermione and everyone else need to stop fixating on getting Sev to mouth those three meaningless words and pay attention to his ACTIONS. Which speak louder than... Oh, you know the saying. And Hermione, cut out the PMS. The guy's not a sweet-talker. Get used to it.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Sorry the chapter was such a disapointment to you.In defense the ehalers where making him able to even get out of bed to participate in the rescue.
Scorpius is quite lucky to have Hermione on his side. Despite the fact that Severus is not a bad person, he would be much more aggresive in his attempts to change the boy's ways. Looking forward to how this all plays out.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yes, he would be. He's changed a lot but those things he was are right on the edge of his life. He's trying to be someone Hermione won't be afraid of. Hes strog he can do it.Thank you, I hope you enjoy it
Excellent as always :) Sorry it took me so long to review.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thanks you, no problem, It's taken me forever to answer these reviews. As you know I have become a Farmville addict LOL. I was waiting for the beta to egt back to me. I have been over working her and she needed a well deserved break :)Thanks for the review.huggles
Response from Marty21 (Reviewer)
Yes I know you are a farmville addict cause Im becoming one lol Well glad you are giving your beta a bit of a break lol
i am really enjoying it
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
I very happy that you are, Thank you.
Crossing fingers it all works out, yet I can't help wondering if Scorpius is going to find those DeathEater memories as something really cool and powerful.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
:) Well I hope you like the way it turns out. This kid needs someone to just guide him. Severus and Herione are up tot he task, but this will not be easy for either of them, or maybe I should say all of them.
I really enjoyed the heart-to-heart talk between Draco and Severus, and am glad to see that both he and Pansy are concerned about their son's future. Severus' idea about showing Scorpius first-hand some of the terrible things that his grandfather endured during his time as a Death Eater is a good one--I think seeing some of the things that his father Draco went through would also help.Hermione's suggestion that learning to work with people one doesn't like will be a boon in a business environment was inspired! Hopefully Scorpius will learn that if one takes the time to get to know others, they're often not at all like what one assumed they were.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you!! These meemories will not be easy to look at for the recipient and the giver. It gona be hard for them both. One thinks of it as an adventure and one never wants to see his past again. We all know we have to take a lot in the RW and that means getting along with people we don't like or at least tolerating them. This will be a elarning experience for them all.
Poor Draco, glad to see that he really does want Scorpius to change and is willing ot work something out for it to happen.I couldn't help but snigger at Scorpius's response to having to work with Albus. At least Hermione and Severus have the leverage of grades to keep him in line to start the rehabilitation and guidance.Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yeah Draco seems to be beaten down. I always thought he was very soft and just a loud mouth to try to make himself look big, but it was a co ver for being afraid of everything and looking to others to tell him what to do. He was raised to do as he was told and he needs somone to tell him what needs doing.Scorpius is a very angry hard young man but he prides himself in his academic accomplishements. Threat of grades will go far with him.Thank you for such a thought out review.
I could see Draco being at the end of his rope.
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Yeah Draco seems pretty beat down in this one. He just needs help and I think he will look to severus for that help.
EXCELLENT!!!!!I look forward to reading future chapters...
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you I'm glad you are enjoying the story.
Good chapter. It makes two of mine. LoL! So Scorpius has to work with a Potter. Should be good. Hopefully, they'll end up complementing each other's strengths. ^_^
Response from gersknightlady (Author of A Ghost of a Chance)
Thank you, glad you liked it. When I first started posting From dDath to Life Again people complained about my short chapters so now I endevore to make them at least 8-9 pages or more. Scorpius plays a larger part in the next few chapters. I hope you will enjoy were we take him.
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
When I write, I usually end at a logical spot. *grin* Sometimes, it doesn't seem so logical to others. ^_^
