Reviews for Hilltop Cottage
I haven't a clue who is going to crack first, but it better happen soon or I may strangle them both before they get a chance to make up. Don't you, as the author, have some responsibility in making sure things go well for these two? I don't know how you can sleep at night... :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I sleep in the knowledge that I have completed the story and I know what happens!! I just hope I can hide from angry readers until they get to the end!
I don't like how this sounds. I just don't like it.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I know. It's horrible isn't it.
Response from thedoughymatron (Reviewer)
You know you're cruel and sadistic right? (and I just can't stay away, what does that say about me???)
I'm dying here!! Update soon!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
So sorry - it's in the queue xx
NOO!!! Oh no! I can't believe she left!!! Without a word! Hermione... I'd give you a swift slap across the back of the head if I were there girl!! Argh! Go after her, Severus!! Even though you were an ass, and yes it's partially your fault... go after her!!Great update! I'm loving the angst, but am awaiting the happy ending with much antici... pation!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
mmm... *imagines Severus in Frank N Furter get up...*Maybe not!I hated writing the break up, you know - I cried more than once!
Those two are very stubborn and belong together :) Enough said :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Exactly right!
What a sad couple of chapters. Will they both come to their senses? I certainly hope so.They are both stubborn, but Severus really has some soul searching and deep changing to do if he ever hopes to get her back.I am very interested to see how you resolve this.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks for reading. I have hope all will be well.
ohh noooo. I want them to be together. Still, Severus has a lot to learn about trust, first, and I can totally get why Hermione left. More power to her. Still.... :(
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Exactly right. Thanks for reading x

I'm sure I will enjoy some miserable and sad Snape. Well, perhaps enjoy isn't quite the word, but I do find I look forward to it.
Is he really that stupid?? Oh, neelix, this has gone so far south, I'm not sure how you are going to fix it. Hermione is fixating on hate, and Severus obviously hasn't learned a thing. He went from thinking that his apology, lovely as it was, would be enough to make everything better, back to hatred himself. Berk
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes, he is - don't forget he is totally clouded by his emotions where hermione is concerned. Fear not, though. I haz fixin' tools.
Hiding away doesn't solve anything - neither does running away. Oh, she didn't see his letter. This is the second time he's bought flowers and she wasn't there to get them.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol. He's not lucky on the flowers front and that's something I have used from my own life. Give me flowers, please, but NOT as an apology. If you have done something that warrants flowers, you've hurt me too much!
Well, let's see. I have been quite angry with Severus as of late. But he wrote her this really nice, well thought out letter, and he seemed totally sincere. He admitted blame, apologized, conplemented her, and finally said the words she has been longing to hear. A lot was accomplished in a short letter. And he's fixing up his house which seems like he has decided that he wants to make things permanent. Then there is Hermione, who I have sided with all along, thinking that while she is not entirely blameless, most of the fault with the disasterous relationship is not hers. But how could she just leave? I can appreciate the unopened letter, so she wouldn't be tempted to run back to him, but has she still not opened it? That is sort of cruel. Or maybe she just wanted to already be settled halfway across the world before she read it so there was no chance of running to Spinner's End. But seriously, she needs to respond, no matter what her response is.Lastly, I'd like to kick Severus to knock some sense into him. Yes, she up and left and has not responded to his letter. And he is still insecure about things. But has he not learned to collect all of the evidence before he jumps to conclusions? Please tell me he will come to his senses and go after her, or she will have the decency to write to him and set things straight! They are both being so rediculous that noone else will be able to put up with either of them, so they might as well just be together. And that concludes this Monday evening rant. Tune in next time... Very nice chapter, as always

lmao - I am very glad that my little story has evoked such a lengthy response! have some chocolate and relax, now... you need it!
I"m sorry but at this point I'm for Severus, Hermione could have at least read the damn letter. Hey he gave it a bit of an effort. Yeah I read a lot of this story on AdultFanfiction . Those two are so stubborn they are made for each other lol
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... shhh! I want people to review here too... lol!! Thanks for reading!
Response from Marty21 (Reviewer)
okay your secret is safe with me lol
Sigh. I really don't like Severus much at this point.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Funny, lots of people said that. I'm not sure he is totally to blame.
Severus is such an idiot! We all know that he should've went to Hermione much sooner. I wonder if he's going to follow her to America to find out what's going on, or if he's just going to wait until she gets back. As I see it, she left because she felt she had no choice. I have the feeling either way, he's going to make things a lot worse, before making it right between them. I see the next chapter is in queue; I can't wait until it posts.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Ahhh, yes. Poor, troubled Sev. Bless him x
poor Severus, but the wrong conclusions he jumps to make sme want to slap him silly! I'm so frustrated!!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lmao... I made people hate him! How funny!
Response from thedoughymatron (Reviewer)
lol! I do love the character and his personality in this story, but the way he reacts to his insecurities is infuriating! I really do hope it gets resolved soon. Hermione can certainly move on, but he will never be the same. *sigh* how could you do this to him?? ;-)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
mmm... I've pondered this one, and I do truly think he would behave this way in a relationship because of his lack of experience and his overwheming obsession with holding onto what is dear to him - but at the same time he is palgued by self-doubt and years of rejection. The only person that wanted him was Voldemort, and even he turned against him in the end, so he has learned to expect the worst, and not even hope for the best. Complex, isn't he?
Response from thedoughymatron (Reviewer)
I guess I can understand all that, it certainly makes sense. And I believe that Hermione also needed to watch out for herself for once after putting everybody else first for practically her whole life. I can only cling to the hope *ahem* that it makes Severus a better man in the end.
Give me something so that I can hit him. Very hard and on the head prefereably. For assuming once again that she is a cheap woman chitting on her 5 years long boyfriend. Stupid guy! *harumph*
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lmao.... sorry I made you grumpy.
Response from snitchette (Reviewer)
Well, he is really hopeless. I hope a few months suffering will straighten his thoughts about his selfish behaviour. But I still do want him happy in the end
oHhhhhh crud! Ohhh, no.Excellent!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I know... I'm so shocked!
great update! sev sees things clear as mud! thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
He's a troubled soul.
Oh gods - he's so afraid of Love even the word 'love' that he throws up a huge wall and shoves with both hands, doesn't he? This is not going well. Love the story and the new twist is great!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks - I didn't want everything to be smooth sailing - real life is not like that!
Yep a HUGE misunderstanding - although that doesn't seem a large enough word for this f#&k up, does it? I just forgot where I was in this story and had to backtrack ... even as good the second time through!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol... I am hoping this will be a tale people will re-read. I love doing that with my fave fics, some of which seem to be yours, actually! x

After turning her down with each previous inviation to attend one of these dinner and he's now miffed at this one? wtf? I'd have given up - so i"m not surprised Hermione did. Boy this is going to be one big misunderstanding.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It's ugly that's for sure.
uh-oh. i see forshadowing clouds looming on the horizon. great update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yes... I see them too!
Good for you, Hermione! :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks for reading!
Good for Hermione. I'm glad she walked out on Harry.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Me too!
Harry is an idiot. It's really not his decision who Hermione sees, and he needs to get over himself.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Yep. I totally agree!
Ohhh that Harry Potter!! I could give him such a smack! LOL. Oh well, who could expect him to think otherwise, he has had no evidence. Still, Hermione isn't known for poor judgement. This should be fun. I can't wait to read more!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks! Yeh, Harry is an arse, but he'll redeeem himself later on I think!
