Interesting back story, I can't wait to see what he says to her when he finds her.

My pleasure, believe me! Thanks, honey xx
I'm so happy to see him so comfortable with little Donovan. I guess it won't take him long to realize he wants to be there for Don full time.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I think so too. He has Utopia waiting for him :)
I love this chapter! I had a huge smile on my face the whole time while reading it. I've really been enjoying the way you're weaving this story, thank you so much for your writing!

Thank you for reading - otherwise I'd be wasting my time! LOL!
Awwwww! That was really, really cute! I love how he is adjusting to fatherhood.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks :) Glad you like it.
Ah, now Hermione is plotting on how to get Severus back. This should be loads of fun, considering the other is not aware of these plans. But things are going really well so far.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
I know! I thought it would be fun that they both want each other but feel unsure of their responses!
Yay for memory lane... as long as it is a good thing. I mean, there was that multicontinental detour they took. Let the wine start flowing, and get this party started. The kid won't sleep forever, you know!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
LOL!!! You don't know how right you are...
I love this story, I'm looking forward tot he enxt chapter it only has to get better :) Nice scene Severus holding his son. :)
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it x
Oh, I definitely hope it is! He seems to be adjusting well to fatherhood.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
He's a quick study, plus he has to prove to Hermione that he's worth a second chance :)
Aaaawe! I love the nasty bear. Though I don't exactly see canon Snape as keeping a bear, fanon Snape I definitely see holding on to his Mr. Fuffles (or whomever). I like to see these two getting back together, in their hesitant way. After all, with time passed and a child in the middle, you really don't want to fuck it up.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
lol....! I intend to write a one-shot about the bear, actually. I don't explain his origins in this story...
Oh, dear. Those two can be funny.

In a good way??
Response from blue artemis (Reviewer)
Yes, in a good way.
Please, please, PLEASE Severus, play your cards right. We are dying here. A completely angst free chapter, I had forgotten what that was like :) I love that Severus took to Donovan right away, but there was still the awkwardness of not quite knowing what to do with a child. I'm sure we've got a long road ahead, but I think that if they don't force things, and just let it progress naturally, they will rediscover why they ended up together in the first place.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Here's hoping... ! I'm not saying anything - you already know it's a happy ending.
Who would have thought that these two would end up in the same place, can't wait till they have a chance to really run into each other.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
It won't be long! Hope you enjoy the rest of the story x
Oh! I love that he wants that. I'm glad he's going to go for it. It was a nice reunion. I'm glad it went well.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks!! I really wanted the chapter to speak of enlightenment - Severus's in the main.
Oh the need for severus to be very sensible has never been more important. LOL. I hope he gets to be a wonderful dad if nothing else.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
ahhh... you know me! He'll get exactly what he deserves. In MY stories, anyway!
Response from mimmom (Reviewer)
LOL. Yep, that's why I read your stories. To say I was a bit miffed at the way things turned out in the last book would put it mildly. I can see why it was done that way. He was a tragic figure. Just sad that such an amazingly complex character would end up as he did and for such an amazingly stupid solution to the wand issues on the part of Lord Moldybutt.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Well, don't get me started. I mean, the whole series wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Severus. In fact, it should be called Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, books one to seven... and he should have LIVED, goddammit! I am seriously thinking of not seeing the film at the cinema, because I know I'm going to sob. Loudly!
I think it may have been necessary advice, but not maybe the best for Severus and Hermione.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Exactly - it doesn't stop there either...
Awww! That's a huge step they made. I'm ridiculously happy for them. As ever thanks for the quick updates.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Thanks so much! I'm so glad they make you happy!
I'm glad the visit went as good as I was hoping. Now it would seem that Severus has a plan to win Hermione back. I look forward to seeing that happen.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
She's mad about him, so it won't take long!
That was a lovely story! Thank you for sharing it. And thank you for the happy ending. Your writing is fantastic. I was hooked from the first.
Phew! Thank goodness they actually talked for once! This is really great so far. You really have me on an emotional rollercoaster!
Hrm, correct me if I'm wrong, but why hasn't Severus apologized for not being supportive of her previously? The award wasn't the problem: it was Severus's lack of support and distrust of Hermione. I hope it's not Hermione making all the compromises and apologies while Severus just gets to act the same as before. Am enjoying this though (if you haven't noticed, I've barely been able to stop reading this over the past 2 days!). Curious to see what happens.
Omg Severus, you stupid git! Seriously, can I smack him upside the head? Poor Hermione. I don't blame her for leaving at this point. Wondering how you are going to turn it around for them! Guess I will have to keep reading to find out (not that I mind, really--enjoying it so far!).
Awww! Awesome chapter!! I can't wait to see how he reacts around Donovan (ahh the toddler years hehe). So glad our couple are getting to rights now!
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Finally.... I thought they'd never get there!
AWWWWWW!!!!! Well, I'm not sure how I thought Severus would react, but I don't know if this was it. But it is fitting. I think things are going to start working out now, but they have a lot to talk about. And there's still Minerva.
Response from neelix (Author of Hilltop Cottage)
Maybe he was a bit OOC, but at the same time, he's just found out he's a father and that Hermione thought he didn't care - it's an emotional time for him.
