I actually cried for both, for DH hadn't come out yet and I didn't realize just how horrid Dumbledore really was.  I never thought that Severus was bad, he's always been my favorite.  Now when I read HPB, I don't even feel sorry for Dumbledore, but I always cry for Severus.  It's the culmination of a life directed by two psychos who have destroyed anything happy that he might have had.

I totally agree with you. Lupin was the best of the Marauders.I never liked the way he was treated in the books. As if his life had not been hard enough being a werewolf. No, let him take care of Sirius and James also. Grrr!There are those who say that he was just as bad as Sirius and James since he never stood up against them (for ex. the episode by the lake). But who can blame him? How can anyone expect him to alienate the only friends he had to help a Slytherin boy?Oh, sorry for the little pro-Lupin outburst. I do like him a lot.
