No, I haven't lost the muse, but other things have come up.  I spent the first part of December writing grants to keep my art studio going.  My intention was to finish "Heirs" by Xmas.  But then my friend Phil was killed in an avalanche and I've been barely able to hold it together.  So patience is in order.  I wrote a eulogy for Phil that I may just "publish" here in order to explain my lack of writing.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend Phil.  I think a eulogy on TPP would be a good way to honor him, I'm sure he was very proud of your abilities as a writer.  Your pause in writing is more than understandable.  I hope your grants come through and the holidays are not too hard on you.  I look forward to you writing again when ever you feel able.  Again, my apologies and condolences.

I kinda look forward to feeling better, too, but right now it's pretty hard.  Thanks.

well good luck with that! i'm so glad i came across this! i joined this group on facebook and one of the questions on the discussion board was "where can i find really good snape fanfic?" and someone wrote that this site was really good and then they recomended this one very strongly.

LOL!  Well, my plan is to continue this story through HBP but it will rapidly become AU at that point, as it was started long before DH came out and I wrote the epilogue well before we found out the "alleged" outcome with our Sev.I'm trying to finish my other major fic but I promise to return to Fair Ex soon--possibly by Xmas.  :)

I was reading the referring story a few days agp, and of course I can't find it now. I was actually reading it, saw the author's notes and bailed on it to click to Fair Exchanges with the intention of adding it to my favorites for later reading. Well, I started right in on Fair Exchanges and did not go back to the other story. I will continue looking and let you know as soon as I find the other story. It was a HG/SS fic for sure. It was pretty good and I did want to finish it so I am motivated to find it.Best, Kat

Hi Ickles,Not to bust your bubble or anything, but that's Salem, OREGON, not Salem, Mass.  Hee hee.  We're more defined by the Gold Pioneer on top of the State Capitol building.  Sadly, a kidnapping and stuffing into a computer room wouldn't help at all, as what's been bogging me down of late has been managing the website for my nonprofit.  We're throwing a section of the State Fair which starts a week from today--and I've never tried to host a party for half a million people before.  It's a veritable Boat Load of work. Super Boat Load.  But it'll be done by Labor Day, and then the kids go back to school... and then it's just Me and Severus.
