Brilliant girl indeed, Fawkes.  Excellent chapter! I love this story! 

Here's my only question:  There seems to be something missing in the middle, a leap between " Wide-eyed, he nodded quickly and said only, 'Yes, ma'am.'" and "'You are a goddess.' The taste of her."  Since the speaker is the same in both paragraphs, and there are no narrative cues, it jarred me a little.

Otherwise, really hot stuff, without going all the way!   And even better is the way you write his thought processes, it's just beautiful.

For a second I was afraid they were cursed and couldn't be together. Fortunately our Hermione is so full of ressources. Thanks for another brilliant girl, er chapter

Severus really didn't think ahead when he made that vow, not that he could have had any idea at the time. Just as well he didn't dive straight in as soon as he had the chance!

OH! I can't wait to see! I've been reading this story for some time and I always enjoy coming back to it. But I still think my favorite chapter is the one where she comes back from Christmas break and rushes into his arms. I go back and re-read that one.

Have I mentioned lately that I love this story? Hell, have I even reviewed it lately? *sheepish look* Sorry. But, I have been reading and enjoying this fic immensely! You've a twisted mind, my dear, and I love how you portray Hermione!

Whoa talk about a cliffie, but if I remember correctly you have at least the next chapter written already, and so the wait for the next one shouldn't be that unbearable. I always appreciate the lite moments of their relationship, and I can't wait to find out what she was hiding.

I'm still dreading the eventual Ron flirting, though Severus could certainly use it afterwards to come clean about a certain night with the female centaurs? I'm not equating the two of course, but just throwing it out there.

Ah!  How deftly you're weaving book six into your tale -- I quite like this bit of ratiocination on Hermione's part.  There are a number of reasons to like this chapter in particular, but there are two which stand out: Hermione's reaction to her peers and labeling Snape a rascal.The first is nicely balanced with enough self-knowledge to set her apart from the other young witches, and the latter is really a perfect choice -- there's too much rogue in the term to make it one of endearment, but not really.As always, I'm a little sad that next chapter isn't up ... but I completely understand how it is with WIPs.  I'll not hold my breath, but I will, indeed, wait eagerly for more.

I know she's only 16, but Ron or Severus? Come on! If she doesn't want him,I'll be right on over to cheer him up! It was great to see what she was thinking, I loved the catty looks she was sending across the room, that made me giggle!Update soon!!

Poor Hermione, you really can't blame her for wanting to show everyone he's hers, of course she wants to hold his hand and snog him senseless in the corridors, who wouldn't?! But seeing who she's in a relationship with, she really needs to get over that!Loved the chapter, tender and angsty, I'm liking it!

Maybe you are really Sirius and that would explain this nutcase idea of Ron Weasley instead of Severus Snape.

Aww, poor Hermione!  You can only feel her frustration right now.  Can't kiss, hold hands or even chat with Sev when she feels like it.  And Severus having to keep his feelings hidden too... something will eventually have to give.  I'm just worried about the 'when and where'  it will happen.  Good chapter. 

That was a nice 'welcome back' for Hermione.  Will Sevvie get the same lemony tasting welcome gift in return?  Hope so.... *wink , wink, nudge, nudge*

Ok, now I'm a bit confused.  What did Snape give Dumbledore at the end of the chapter?  And what about that flash of blue light?  Did I miss something?  Hmm...
