Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

Such a cathartic chapter for the two of them. Poor Hermione wasn't expecting Severus to make a vow to keep her safe. Think it was all a bit too much for her...
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Agreed. I think she was a little overwhelmed. :)
I like this. Rather dark and intriguing - just what I enjoy!

I know, it's terrible isn't it? It almost makes me wonder what was wrong with my psyche when I wrote it, but this is what demanded to be written and who was I to argue? The next chapter is in the queue
what an intense story. thanks so much

Geez, this is a bloody depressing chapter. Dark, dark world in this fic.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Yes, but it is about to start getting brighter!
you've written a really interesting take on Voldemort's triumph. Great detail to descriptions, not too much and not too little. Keep up the good work.

Oh God! How heartbreaking! This story really tugs at my gut. Such sadness. He must have been the one they never found. So glad she stopped being mean to him and is accepting his gentle kindness. Sounds like then need each other despirately.

They do, indeed. Thank you for the review!

Excellent take on Hermione's fate, the emotions ring true. The enigma of Severus Snape's standing within the Dark Lord's kingdom is fascinating. Well done, I'm looking forward to what happens next.

I am glad you like it!
Quite a strong chapter. Should be interesting to see Hermione and Severus facing these emotions now after supressing them for such a time.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you for your review, I hope you like how it develops. :)

Thank you so much for your reviews! I am really excited that you are enjoying this so far. Next chapter is in the queue!
I think Walden McNair wants a piece of Severus, and it's a good think for Snape that Hermione is on his arm. Now I simply must go to the next chapter because my curiosity is killing me!
I really like this, BTW.
Beth
Whoa! This first chapter is a real doozie. Sounds like life after a victorius Voldemort is not something any of the survivors would look forward to. Being pimped out for the wellbeing of Ma's pocketbook is not my idea of a good time.
I can't wait to see where you take us on this journey!!!
Beth
Something pretty powerful occurred in those few minutes when Severus and Hermione were along in the room. I love it when McNair tried to horn in on Severus' time, and the Potions master was quick to let him know that that would never happen.
Very good chapter!
Beth
Another great chapter. You've expressed Hermione's confusion beautifully.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so very much!
Fascinating to watch Hermione digging for feelings that she has buried so deeply. It is hard to imagine someone thinking insanity was their only escape, what a horrible place to be. It will be interesting to see what other part Snape will play in her emotional reawakening.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Emotions, and the ability or inability to handle them is the main theme of my story. Having been numb for so long, our girl will have a rollercoaster ride ahead of her before she can get a grip and she won't be the only one.
Response from pearl city princess (Reviewer)
I never considered his emotional reawakening, his could be even rougher due to the fact that he has been burying his emotions far longer than she has.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Oh, our poor boy is in for quite a ride, indeed...
Another fabulous chapter. I loved the way you brought out her growing awareness of Snape and the emotions attached to that awareness of him.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you! I was really working for just that reaction!
Hello - this is a really interesting start and I'm looking forward to seeing how you develop things through the story. I was expecting Mr M to be Lucius Malfoy so I was pleasently surprised when it was revealed to be McNair. Looking forward to seeing the next chapter :-) xXx
