I'm glad that you found this story and took the time to review each chapter - thanks!
interesting cycle of their relationship. thanks so much for the lovely update.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
thanks for the lovely review :-)
Awwww that was so sweet. Now Severus and Hermione have yet another thing in common.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yes, they do. And I still remember how much I hoped that this was the beginning of a wonderful friendship when I read the chapter for the very first time...
So glad you're still posting this... It's time they moved on a little now, though... a little light snogging would be nice, but I can be patient!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, this is a slow, in-depth kind of story, you know... ;-)
I am reading this elsewhere, but I want to say, I love this story!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Since this is the only English version of it, you must be rather apt at German, my dear!
Wonderful, as always.A connection on some mysterious level, indeed!Hope everyone has completely recovered from your sicknesses and can get back to writing and proofing! It would be torture to wait this long between chapters every time.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, my kids went from influenza to gastric flu yesterday :-(
Response from ClayPotter (Reviewer)
Oh NOOOOOO!
I do hope this new connection, brings them closer together- hopefully romance. But nothing is ever that simple is it. Look forward to more.

No, nothing is ever that simple...
Oh Gosh, this Snape is a tough nut to crack! Perhaps with this new connection they can begin again with romance. I'm sorry-I am itching for these two to get together for real!Livvy
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
As I said before - there's no easy or fast way in this story.
I just don't get him. Well, I do, but I don't. At least Hermione is moving on. Her interactions with the baby were quite sweet.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Don't you know these male characters who can't resist the urge to make a bad joke whenever they start to feel emotional and are embarrassed about it?
Response from debjunk (Reviewer)
Yup, but it just makes me want to slap him/them. Wake up, you git!
This is very sweet:) As a mom but not a Godmother, I still know how she feels.Warm regards,Fizzabella
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Oh yes. Holding a newborn baby is a very special thing.
Thank you for a great chapter.waiting for more.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
The next one is being beta'd over the weekend (at least Prof. M McGonagall said so).
Hmmm do I think the Godfather is finally starting to see the light in the "Godmother"
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Oh, he's quite blind to any kind of light, you know...
Welcome Lily Luna!! How lovely that Hermione would be so close to her. I know you're winding the tension for plot reasons, though I wish they'd get over themselves and get together. LOL I reckon that means you've done your job then. =]
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, I guess you have already figured out that there are no easy or fast solutions in this story...
Ahhh, can't wait for more! It looks like they are beginning to overcome the chasm between them. But they still have a long way to go. Excellent, excellent job, ladies!!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
*takes a bow* thank you!
I find it fairly significant that when Severus wanted to prepare his last will and testament, he sought out Hemione... someone he felt he could trust implicitly. Oooooh! Little Lily has arrived, and when Hermione asked Severus if he wanted to hold her, at least he didn't say "No." Instead he said, "Maybe later." With Severus Snape that is as close to "I really want too."
This is twice he has flirted with Hermione a little. Once when they ran into each other at Hogwarts: The corners of his mouth twitched while he let go of her hand. "Potions is not a subject for dunderheads!" he answered with a shrug. And the second time here at St Mungo's: "So... Godmother."It seems as if Severus is slowly – ever so slowly – coming to feel safe with her. And this can only be a good thing!!!Beth
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yeah, the emphasis is on _slowly_. Maybe he will kiss her before she turns 80? Maybe he won't...
This is a very lovely story! I have it in favorites and look forward to each update!Live long and prosper,

Response from keske (Reviewer)

Oh, how nice to see Severus and Hermione bonding over shared godparenthood, not to mention finding ways to behave in a civilized fashion to one another.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yes, at least they are talking.
These last few chapters made me tear up. I can't wait for the next update. Wonderful translation. Please extend my compliments to Marisol.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Thank you for your uplifting review - Marisol reads all of these every now and then.
good chapter.i like that she is taking this slowly.it will be interestin on how the story progresses from here.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Oh, don't worry – you'll see soon enough...
that last scene was magnificently written. i think you tied up his character perfectly. thanks so much for the wonderful update.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Oh, thanks for the great review!
When Severus began to speak about losing his way and himself, I felt my heart break for him. He was so badly used by everyone beginning in his childhood."... if you keep walking other people's roads, you inevitably lose your own way, your own self."Terribly sad.But Hermione has no such designs on him. "But I don't expect anything from you, Severus," she said gently, and realized with astonishment that she really felt it was the truth. "I don't expect anything, and I don't want anything. On the contrary, I am offering you my friendship. You don't have to take it if you don't want to. It's up to you." With these words, she extended her hand towards him. "Sometimes," she whispered, "a friend can help you to find the way that you've lost." This gives me hope that Severus will be able to, at least, begin to heal, and who knows? Maybe find a place in the world where he can live free in spirit and in his heart... maybe he will even find love. Wonderful chapter!Beth
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yes, you've expressed it beautifully: I guess we all hope that... I can't tell anything, though, since I'm still waiting for an update of the German version. Thanks for your thoughtful review!
What a perfect way to "reunite" the two. Severus admitted his weakness and Hermione made it a strength. Brilliant.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Thank you for your input – I must admit that I haven't seen it that way until now...
Oh, man, doesn't your heart just break for him? What does the poor guy have left? I hope he accepts Hermione and her friendship. She's so right, sometimes a friend can help you find what you've lost.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, I doubt that he ever had a real friend in his life (even Lily Evans ditched him after the first big bang)... So he probably doesn't know how to deal with one.
