Reviews for The Godfather
no wedding and kids for her, eh?
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
It's called an "open end", darling... Nobody knows what the years will bring :-)
Thank you so much for this story ladies. I have enjoyed the reading of it.

We aim to please...
Beautiful ending, my thanks to Marisol for her tale and to you Muggline for your translation.
Marisol, I've really appreciated your character development in this story. There were times when I didn't think that this Severus could love, but you made his growth towards loving Hermione very believable!Muggline, thanks for taking the effort to translate this story and share it with us. And thanks for letting me read the chapters before anybody else. Hehe! :)
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Thanks for the praises - but you had to work for your privilege, my dear!
Your author's note really said it all -- what distinguishes this story isn't hawt sexxx or high drama (although it has been both sexy and dramatic), but its subtle layers of mood. All of the characters were completely, fully drawn -- as the story grew on me, each new chapter seemed like a reunion with old friends. Many thanks to Marisol, and thank you so much, Muggline, for your efforts in bringing this lovely story to a new audience.

Yes, that's why I loved it. In my opinion, this is a true "adult" story, where the characters get out of bed and live a life.
Very nice story. You did a good job translating it. I hope to see others from this author some day.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
I can't promise anything. She has posted some HP FF, but I have started translating another fic by a different author and I have a very busy RL. Just watch what happens...
This has been such wonderful story that I simply must tell Marisol and you, Muggleline, how deeply grateful I am that we have been allowed the joy of reading it. It was realistically paced to reveal the journey of the spirit that Severus had to make to go from the isolated and taciturn man he was to become the man we see in this Epilogue. Paralleling Severus' own journey, Hermione, Ginny, and Harry made their own slow journey and managed to forge bonds of love and friendship with the Potions master. Hermione's journey went much further. By encompassing Severus with her total acceptance of what he could offer, which included loving her, she and Severus have built a life for themselves that may not have been everyone's idea of perfect, but it suited the two of them well.I'm tickled for Albus that he was sorted into Ravenclaw. He will not have to meet any expectations for either House—Slytherin or Gryffindor, but I have no doubt that he will bring glory to his own House and to his godfather by becoming brilliant at Potions!Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity and the privilege of enjoying this marvelous story!Beth

OMG, get off the floor, dear! Thank you very much for your reviews - you always take the time to leave meaningful comments that make our day...
Just lovely:)
So perfect:)
Warm regards,

Nice ending and a good compromise.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, I think a fairy tale ending would have been strange...
Beautiful.
I'm surprised. I thought after a decade they would at least live together. They seem to be happy quite enough, but I couldn't help but hope for marriage and perhaps a child or two. That's the bad side of being an helpless romantic.Anyway, that was a fantastic story, and I thank you and Marisol for sharing and translating.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, of course it would have been nice. But it's their happiness that counts.
Beautiful! I was a bit surprised that they were not married, but perhaps marriage doesn't suite Marisol's Severus (or Hermioine either, it's not for everyone).Like you, Muggline, I really enjoyed the slow and realistic pace of this story. It warmed my heart to the core. Thanks so much for giving us non-German speakers the chance to enjoy it. :)

You're welcome. I actually did this to see whether I could do "literature" as in "not business/finance". It was fun!
Sweet ending. Sad it's all over though! Thanks for brining this to us!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
If you're sad that it's over, it must have been good!
That was a lovely ending. Thank you for taking the time to translate this. I'm always in awe of anyone who is able to do that.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Thank you!
Now to get the epilogue to this story on today, of all days, my birthday is absolutely perfect. Thank Marisol for writing it and thank you for taking the time and care for translating it so we could all enjoy it in its glory.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Happy Birthday, then!
Oh my God!!!...Thank you so much Marisol and thanks a million Muggline for translating...This just made my day!!!
This fic is beyond amazing. This has to be the most realistic portrayal of the ss/hg ship I have ever read. The dance between them was painful at many moments, as was the time it took to get to this point, but dang was it worth it. Eagerly await further development of their relationship.
I do adore those late night confessions and promises.
Oh...just an epilogue left, makes my heart a teeny bit sad but I can see how our story is coming to an end. :)
Sometimes that's the best and worst feeling in the world - the near end to a great story, don't you think?
I love the imagery of the corridor conversation..lovely!
(Sidenote: Do you see those random question marks at the end of the chapter?)
Oh my goodness, this has to be my favorite love scene.
I am very far behind in this story - what a great place to pick it up!
what a lovely tale, please keep it up
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, there's not much to keep up, since there's only the epilogue left.
Nawww, I imagine Severus to be a possessive smuggler too! Lovely chapter.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Thank you!
I'm so glad he finally accepted and her love. I can't wait to read the epilogue.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Don't worry, it's in the queue.
Aw, yay! I really love how Severus knows he's difficult and is amazed by Herm's devotion.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yes, he seems to have come to his senses.
