Reviews for The Godfather
*sniff*well, that was worth waiting for!Beautiful...
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
And what a long wait it was... thanks!
Hermione's nervousness as she paced in front of Severus's new home was perfectly described. Continually glancing at one's watch and being surprised that only mere seconds have passed is something everyone can identify with. We've all been situations like that, and the feeling that time is "taking its own sweet time" only makes the waiting more difficult.
I loved Severus's new home! The small and cozy house, sparsely furnished, seems like just the kind of place that Severus would have chosen. The tall grass in the garden and the old cherry trees fit very well with the home I pictured, and it suits him to a tee. I can imagine him slowly making changes here and there to grow some of the herbs he will need for his potions, and taking delight in making a new life for himself here.
I think I must give thanks to Mr. Blinkey for showing an interest in Hermione, and to Ginny for deciding that she and Harry should get the children home before they became too tired. At first I was afraid that Hermione was going to leave as well, but Severus came through and gave her that kiss that let her know that he wanted her to be a part of his life. His promise that he would try to never hurt her on purpose was as honest as he could be. He couldn't promise to be all the things she might wish, but he made it perfectly clear that the thought of being without her in his life terrified him as much as the thought of opening himself up to having someone special in his life. Making a new life is an undertaking that only a brave man would attempt, and I think that he will be very glad he chose to do it. After all, when he was completely unguarded, when he was still asleep, he drew her body to his and held on to her. "Hermione smiled when she recognised the gesture for what it was: his instinctive wish to keep her as close as possible."
I am eagerly awaiting the epilogue to see what the future might hold for these two wonderful people. Thank you to Marisol for writing this wonderful story and to you for translating it so we English speakers can enjoy it. I have loved every word.Beth

Thank you so much for your warm and elaborate review! It's readers like you that keep us going!
"Housewarming" indeed! What a wonderful way to start a new life.I am so glad that this chapter is here to read. I went down my list of favorites yesterday and wondered if I would ever get to read the end of this story. And here it is, with the epilogue soon to follow. A bittersweet fact. I want to keep reading more, but I know that it can't go on forever.

Well, I started translating another story some time ago. It's totally different, set in the Marauder Era and full of drama and suspense in later chapters - but it is finished already, so I know what I'm getting into (96 chapters...) :-)
Awww! *is happy*That was terrific! Loved Ginny's not-subtleness. It was fantastic.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yes, I loved it, too.
I loved this. His little house seems perfect for him. I loved the interchange/reactions regarding Mr. Blimey. Too funny. I'm so glad GInny's oh-so-subtle hint worked out.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Oh yes... Did you see the imaginary camera turn towards the fire in the grate ;-)? (That's what they always did in Hollywood movies to hint at other things happening between the leading couple...)
I love this story. I am so glad its back. This was a very heartwarming chapter, worth the wait.

Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
you're welcome...
I hope Ginny didn't get into trouble with Harry.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Why would she? I bet she'll explain everything to him once they're at home. And as soon as he sees the happy couple, he will sing her praises.
Perfect:)Warm regards,Fizzabella

Don't worry. She has the password and she will be reading this.
Severus's style of negotiation is hilarious! I liked the house description as well.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
negotiation? What negotiation?
Wow. He finally told someone what he was doing. At least he didn't just disappear like before. Can't wait to read more. =)
it is glacially slow but he is moving. what a wonderful and hopefilled update. thanks so much
I can certainly understand how being around Severus is exhausting with him attempting to change. I get frustrated just reading about it!
Begone to spinners end! An excellent image to see it burning.
No need to reply to this review, you just get better.
Oh, very good and so promicing! I'm so glad that he's moving and starting over.
Talk about baring your soul!
Oh, hmm, now he knows, but what will he do about it?
Oh my goodness! Fantastic update! I really hope marisol is a fast writer and that the translation is quick. I cannot wait to se where this goes now! Thanks.. and I hope you feel better soon x
I like this story a lot!
I'm not prone to reading, WIP's,
but I find this intriguing.
Looking forward to the next chapter!!
A~~
Progress, however slow, is still progress. :)
I hope that this is a true and good turning point for Severus. He needs a change so much. A fresh start will help him to put the past behind him.
You had me worried there for a while. I think his burning his house and starting over is a wonderful idea! Who would want to stay in a house full of bitter memories. Bravo for him.
I hope you're feeling better soon.
