Reviews for The Godfather
Another nail biter! like how Severus is letting Hermione closer to him. I hope he will grow to realize that he has so much more to live for than only ALbus Severus. Thanks,Livvy

What an incredible chapter.

Well written. You captured the emergency feel of the situation and the desperation of Severus's and Hermione's work.

Thank you very much! As I mentioned several times before: it was this intensity and the acute description of everyone's feelings that made me consider this one for translation in the first place. Marisol forever!!!

You and Marisol should both be very proud of your work!

Wow! Very intense! He better survive. I do feel a tad bit bad for Hagrid, his pain is real, he would never intentionally hurt anyone, yet I understand why Severus lashed out at him. PS. That was a really long wait for the next chapter after you poisoned the poor child. Update sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Sorry for the long wait - please understand that apart from the translation, all chapters have to pass a lengthy beta and validation process. There are constantly about 40 chapters in notsosaintly's queue and ladyinthecloak, who does the beta-reading, is a very busy woman, too. 1 week between posting and validation is absolutely normal and sometimes - like in this case - it takes up to 2 weeks.

Arrrrggggh, more cliff hangers, I should have guessed by the title! Great story, I am in love with your version of Snape, the man who pushes everyone away but draws us in and creates in us the desire to save him, somehow!!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yes, I think that this chapter makes us understand, at least a little bit, why Hermione feels drawn to him, in spite of everything he does.

Oh, Dear Merlin! Please let little Albus Severus be all right. So many people besides Harry and Ginny will be devastated if anything happen to the little boy... Severus, Hermione, Professor McGonagall, Hagrid, the Weasleys.OMG! Snape and Hermione have had a moment. This has been a sad, but great update! Way to go, girl!!!Beth

Thanks for the compliments (which I am passing on to Marisol, as always). It's times like those described here, where people usually sort out their priorities...

Oh my word... I'm crying. What a devestating chapter. I sincerely hope that the boy lives...~

They've done all they could. Now they must wait. But the repercussions if the boy dies are horrible to think about. (Please don't kill him off.)

*claps hands over ears* na na na, I won't tell, na na na ;-)

Ooo, does Severus show up at Hogwarts topless?
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
I don't think that anyone has a mind for it in the given situation. And no, he does not bother to waste precious seconds on it.

OMG I hope he will manage to save his Godson's life. He's not the best potions master for nothing. Because if he lost him now he will never recover from it.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Exactly.

Exactly.
This chapter was particularly lovely. Hermione's panic was palpable as was Severus's disbelief that anyone could fret over him. I wonder when the poor bastard will manage to have his new-found hunger satisfied.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Yes, you could almost hear the penny drop... and it has dropped for good, this time.
excellent chapter.but he was a bit thoughtless in thinking no one would notice he was gone especially since he requested her to make a will.waiting for more.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Men in general are a little thoughtless in these things, and he is a very special one...
Wonder where he has been. :)
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
You'll know very soon.
Oh Hagrid! The fruit in the kitchen - and the adults left the kids alone in the house full of neat things to snoop through! What were they thinking? Obviously they weren't thinking at all!Thank Gods for Severus! and Hermione's quick thinking about the bezore.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
I see you are working through the tougher bits of the story.
Oh the lout! Of course he misread her 'body language' HA! Not a chance. As a teacher, even one as horrible as he was, there would have been some cases of infatuations that he'd have to deal with.
Her tripping on the toys was funny, sad, but funny. That he helped her, okay assesed her ankle, That is so typical Snape.
And James's reaction to Snape was priceless!
I'm so glad he's alright. Ugh. It's funny how they keep having terrible set-backs. Makes me anxious to keep reading.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
One step forward, two steps back...
Oh, lord, I hadn't realized that the last chapter was a dream! I was so caught up in the imagery - it seemed real.
Oh, and the babysitting two; a baby boy and a toddler! Nope, babysitting anyone named James Potter would not be an easy task. But why did Snape drop by and so late! If he had agreed to watch the childern (okay, only Al) then he's worefully late and that's inconsiderate! Jerk, he'd have done better not to show up at all!
God, what a brilliant line! I loved teh hunger analogy.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, now that he's aware of the hunger, maybe he'll get to realise how to sate it?
What a beautiful chapter! This brought tears to my eyes - what an utterly desolate soul Marisol's Severus is! I hope this makes him realise that there are people who care about him. But I suppose this must be a new feeling for him ... here's to hoping he doesn't dismiss it.Thanks again for bringing this lovely story to the English-speaking audience!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
As I said in another review – it's as if the thick armour around his soul gets chipped away in tiny little bits...
Ahhh, nice ending line! I can't wait to find out what happens next!Livvy
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, this is about very slow progress, isn't it?
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
OOOOhhhhhh! That was brilliantly intense!!! I get the feeling that thing he wants - is starving for - is Hermione? Please say I'm right!!!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
I don't know if he knows the answer to this question himself.
Been following this since the first chapter. But it's only now that I see why it's a great story. Thank you.
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Oh please elaborate...
Oooh, naughty girl followed the evil man to the dungeons - what was she (not) thinking? Follow the snake into his lair and leave unscathed? Foolish girl. You're Snape is so dark and brooding, broken, and for some reason, he's reaching out to her. Why?
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Read on and you'll know... Unconscious survival instinct?
What an utter berk! Oh, Snape... bad move!At least Roger took it all in stride, but he's going to have to do some explaining to that young lady later on, isn't he?And Hermione always being the brunt of Snape's cruel streak. I'd have stormed off from him whenhe'd tried to talk to me at the bottom of the stairs. A simple 'bye' and he'd see my, but no, she's much too nice and polite. But man, Snape can certainly be a ass!
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Oh yes, that much is true!
