Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

This just keeps getting better. :)

I'm sooo glad you think so! :)
Amazing story, I'm hooked and eagerly look forward to your story updates. Hermione and Severus need each other on many different levels. I can't wait to see how this plays out.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you for the review, I really hope you enjoy the rest of the story as much!
Oh, Severus. What a sweetheart. Or something like that. Any man who says, "Take care of yourself" is adorable. No matter how snarky he might be. Lovely chapter. Keep up the goodness. I can't wait for more. I'm on pins and needles until the next chapter.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Well that's the thing with Severus, he's such a jerk, but he's such and adorable jerk...Glad you enjoyed that chapter!
I'm glad he has a plan. I guess I will just have to trust him as well. I have read this all in one sitting, and in case you haven't noticed, I am out of chapters. If you could please fix that promptly, I would appreciate it :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
LOL! I will remedy that right now!
Wow, what a huge thing he has done for her, making that vow. but truly he is leading a shell of an existance, so if he met his death in trying to save her, would that really be the worst? They have bonded very quickly, but I suspect if you are the last two of your kind, in any situation, that is a strong catalyst to bring you together.I enjoyed the moment where there was a little lighthearted banter. In the midst of such horrible insanity, they are still able to glimpse moments of happy, even if it is a dulled version of what it used to be.The fact that she feels weird and confused about going to bed with a man without having sex, really encompasses just how warped her life has become. And in the end, where they end up doing the activity that he was supposed to have bought her a night of freedom from, it again made me hopeful. I really hope for a happy ending in all of this, but I'm not sure I can yet define what that means. I guess time will tell.

And another wonderful review! Thank you so much! I agree, this chapter really lets the reader know just how complex this dynamic is.
Excellent closure on their promises to each other. I hope they are both successful! Cheers!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to let me know what you thought of my story!
I am a little late starting this fic. Honestly, if a fic is too dark or depressing, like post war Voldy victorious, I'm not always on board with that. But I decided to give this a go, and am really enjoying it. I haven't reviewed yet, but this chapter was really moving, so I thought I'd take a break to unleash my thoughts.I really liked the entire interaction between Snape and Hermione. Their lives are so desperately sad (although we don't know much about what Snape has been up to). What a scary experience on both parts, and while neither wanted to be in the position they were in, they were at least able to be miserable together. The last interaction between them, when he wanted to give her something, was really my undoing. Such raw emotion. Her, "I keep nothing" really struck me as so sad. But at the same time, those last minutes between them made me feel hopeful. It seems an out of place feeling, but is there nevertheless. If you don't know by now, rambling usually means I really like your story. Off to the next chapter...

Thank you so very much for your review! I enjoyed your comments, they really help me understand how a reader is affected by certain things. I'm so glad you took a chance on such a dark fic, I really hope you enjoy the rest!
Very nice update. I hope the next one is coming soon.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I'm glad you like it! the next chapters(11&12) were delayed by RL, my apologies...
It sounds like Hermione and Severus have given each other something to live for in a world which has lost all light. Something beautiful is growing in the Darkness, but is it enough?I'm really quite fascinated with this story. I look forward to seeing how Severus manages to save Hermione, and himself in the process. :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so very much! I am really glad you are enjoying it!
Oh,I loved this chapter!I can't wait till Severus can get her out of that place.Thay need each other because that is the only why thay can be whole.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so much! And I agree, they need each other desperately.
Neville's group reminded me of Robin Hood and his outlaws of Sherwood
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Don't they? I admit, that thought had occured to me as well!
Preamble: I grew quite critic of DH in recent years. I believe that Dumbledore should have started to look after the Horcruxes earlier, and that, if Snape's role as a spy was worth a Knut, he should be used to get information from Voldemort about the Horcruxes. I don't agree with canon at all about Snape ignoring everything about the Horcruxes. So, I'm glad to have him on the chase here, even if he looks a bit too heroic in his achievements ;)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I agree, there is a lot to point at and criticize in DH, but the fact that we spend so much time doing so shows how good it still was. We've all read books that were so bad we tossed them across the room, DH we just get mad at because we would have done things differently, because we were utterly invested in the story. That said, I do happily ignore its existence most of the time...
Malfoy a spy! And killed! Draco and Narcissa gone too! Gosh, that's interesting.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
It's terribly sad. So many lost...
“It’s not you, Peaches, honey. He just isn’t into redheads.”Auch. Cruel remark! ;)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Yeah, she was aiming low.
It's nice seeing her resolve to stay safe (as she can be) and keep herself healthy. The trust between them is equally endearing.Looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you for your review! The next chapter is in the queue!
I love it. I can't wait to read the next chapter!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me!
I have a question about this story. Are her parents alive and well living in Australia with no memory of their daughter? or are they amongst her incredible losses?Still loving this story!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I should let you stew and do my *All Your Questions Shall Be Answered* schtick, in my deep profound voice, but since this is such a small thing... Yes, the story is canon through DH up to when Ron would have left on page 309. Her parents are Happy Aussies.
Response from joyfulheart (Reviewer)
Not to worry, I am 'joyfully' stewing between each chapter. I get so excited when I see a new one come up.
That mutual trust is going to take them a long way. :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Yes, yes it will! Thank you for reviewing!
He is a quick learner! :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
*Takes direction well* Check. Thank you for all of your reviews!
"I am profoundly grateful for your gesture, but I find that I want to.” I looked into his eyes to stress what I was trying to say. “I have never wanted to before." That says it all really. :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
*whew* I am so glad you think so!
Oh no, not another vow. What has he got himself into this time?
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I can say for sure that he knows...
He didn't look for her before because he thought she was dead. Makes sense. :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you! I promise that 99 and 44/100% of all your questions, and there will be many raised, will be answered!
Great chapter, just the right insight into how she is thinking. :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so much for that!
Very moving. I wonder what will happen next? :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
It's a secret!
