Hee hee--I'm glad Herms seems right to you. I get some complaints about her portrayal, I guess it's just all in how you see her.

Thanks! They made me a validated author so my plan is to update every day or so--at least until I get caught up with all the chapters that are finished. Then it'll have to slow down.

"The last time Snape was this plastered, he'd jubilantly written a series of runes in an equation that he was certain explained the origin of the universe. The next day he couldn't even read it, and it had taken forever to remove it from the wall." (!!!) I loved that (am embarrassed though, recognising some similiar achievements in such "brilliant" moments!) You really have me laughing here; your portrayal of Snape is a delight to read, very funny and still in character! This story will be listed among my favourites in a moment - but first I'll have to read on!

Oh, man, that part is TOTAL autobiography--except that I wrote it on a dry-erase board and therefore could have nuked it easily. But the guy who owned the dry-erase board thought it was so funny he kept it up for ages, much to my chagrin. Educated drunks are just too funny sometimes.

Anyroad, I love the way your conversations flow. The bantering between two people that know each other well [or at least we are assuming they know each other well.] Obviously not as well as Umbridge thinks...

Well, for one thing they thought Lucius was OOC--that he wouldn't use such coarse language. There was something else, too, I forget what. I edited the chapter to spruce up the language a bit--put in "shall" instead of "will" and so on, just to give it a more aristocratic sound, but I decided not to resubmit it because of the other point--it just seemed like too much hassle and it's a very small part of the story. The main purpose is to show that SS and LM have a close friendship and let their hair down with one another, so to speak. I'm glad you saw that in the dialogue--that was just what I was shooting for.

Brilliant. Here's my only complaint, and it's extremely petty and rather complimentary in and of itself: Too short! Want more!

Man, I'm sure his middle name must be Calvin. As for length...well, I like short chapters in fanfic, so I tend to write them that way--but that means there's usually a lot of them...It all works out.

Well, I think more importantly, he's learned that she can do Occlumency.
Oh, my heart is breaking for both of them. Can you tell me if this has a happy ending, because I honetly don't know how much more of this I can take if it doesn't. Its like a train wreck. You know that you don't really want to see it and yet you feel you just can't look away. Thanks for sharing your amazing story with us.

Do you really want to know? Because I can tell you--I've had the ending written for months now. I also have 26 chapters written and still haven't gotten to the end of OOTP, and the story goes all the way through HBP--so it's going to be a looooong wait for the end. But really, if you can bear with it for a few more chapters, the major angst is over. For a while, anyway. *sheepish*
I am amazed of how you pull this one off. And that charade of Severus was just ... amazing.
