Yay! I'm glad people are enjoying it--that was one of my favorite chapters.
Yes, I've already reviewed this, but I thought I'd take this opportunity to remind you that we are currently immersed in the season of giving. What would be a cheap gift to give...hmmm. I know, another chapter of this fantastic story! It's on my Christmas list, right next to a million dollars and world peace. I don't think I'll be getting either of those, so you are my last hope! Ok, I know real life is in the way. I have a healthy dose of that as well. But still... *eyes twinkling with the hope of a Christmas miracle* Ok, go ahead and call me obnoxious. Or something worse if you'd like... I can't hear you from where I'm at. Either way, Happy Holidays!

Sigh. Not likely. My mom (age 86) fell and broke her hip, and I just spent a month in Florida cleaning, emptying and selling her house, setting her up in a nursing home, getting all the power of attorney stuff set up, etc. A month in Fla and I never once hit the beach or even put on a swimsuit--it was a nightmare. And now I'm back in Oregon and the Halloween decorations are still up, the plants are all dead, the fridge is empty... At least Hubby managed the kids and the cat while I was gone. But I got a LOT of catching up to do.

Sounds like an overdose of RL. Yay for a hubby who can survive without you and keep things going. Look on the bright side, if you leave the Halloween up, in nine months you'll be ahead of the game :) Best of luck to you, I hope your mom will be alright!

Hah! Sorry, next chapter is actually a perspective from Hermione on all these current events.
This is an utterly fascinating story. You've several refreshingly original perspectives, and I'm enjoying your 'take' on the behind-the-scenes aspects of book five. You've managed to set the Hermione/Snape relationship into place such that it doesn't interfere with the situations in book six. I'm looking forward to what/where you go next.

That is such a fabulous opening paragraph, I had to compliment you on it before reading the rest of the chapter.
And the rest of the chapter does not disappoint! Except it was short. But it was such an excellent exchange between the two, I can't be displeased. Really and truly brilliant.

Oh, you KNOW it had to happen.
That was a spectacular drunken Snape! Not too off his character, the sullen drunk and the giggles, the tell-tail "I love you" thought when he pulled her into his lap. Splendid!

I love this story, although I think she's gone completely crazy to refuse him! I love your version of drunken Snape and the imagery of the bowtruckle and a troll. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Oh, nobody wants to read about HungOver!Snape. The next chapter actually jumps ahead a few days, as Lucius Malfoy drops in for a word or two about some rumors he's been hearing of late. 
Typical Hermione. So level-headed and logical. <3 Hope he remembered to brew a hangover potion!

The part with Umbridge had me laughing! I shudder to think of the gross toad flirting with Snape. This chapter was very good also. I'm glad Hermione is coming back to read.

I must confess, I am not terribly thrilled with Severus' latest, erm, task ... but I am most curious to see where you go with your version of the events of HBP. I love Severus' quirky sarcastic sense of humor in this story and the incandescent glow of love building between one sulky Potions Master/DADA professor takes my breath away. I really, really hope you do continue with this story, I would hate to see it go unfinished, it is way too good for that!

Sigh--thank you. I really do want to finish it. I've had some writer's block/burnout lately, plus I fell of a horse and broke 6 ribs, so completing it has been challenging. But I have it outlined (and the very ending has been written for over a year now) so it's just a matter of getting back in the groove.

Hah , it made me laugh out loud. Well done. Snape and Lucius sitting in a tree...well you know the rest. It stayed in character perfectly and the pacing was brilliant. It didn't drag at all. I wait for the update.
