Seriously, you rock!!  Keep up the momentum and please please, no 300 million word OMAGE to Dumbles to explain everything like Deathly Hallows.  Seriously, I could have done without!

I'm so glad the chapter is finally up. I've been desperated to know how the story would develop!It's terrible to see Hermione so alone and having nowhere to go while pregnant and in so much danger. I really hope she and Serena will be alright! ^^(Also waiting for some news of Severus!)Looking forward to the next update! :)

her parents =( i blame harry!!!

This was not at all how I expected things to go, although I'm not sure exactly what I did expect. But, I liked this. With all of the hormones, on top of being a prisoner who is suddenly free, but with nowhere to go, and then the death of her parents, she must be a wreck.  But as much as I think I should feel hopeless, the fact that she has money, and Andromeda, and Mrs. Fitzsimmons to fall back on, I think she ought to be able to find somewhere obscure to hide out.  Nothing will help the fact that she misses her husband, but she will endure; she always does.  And while the baby will make things hard for her physically, I think Serena will become her constant companion, her reason to keep going, and her link to Severus.This has been such a fantastic read, and when it concludes will be like the end of an era.  But I am anxious for our happy ending.  Surely we won't go through eight more chapters of doom and gloom before we get to the happy part.  I'd like to ease into it a bit... soon. 

I'm so afraid for Hermione.  Pregnant, all alone, and on the run, she really has a difficult road ahead of her.  I was shocked that her parents had been killed and their home burned to the ground.  What a horrible shock right on the heels of having to escape Hogwarts so quickly because the Dark Lord had taken over the MOM and would soon be taking over the school.  Perhaps it is small consolation, but at least she has the money her parents left her... but she has no way to get to it at the moment.Seeing her parent's neighbor was a God-send.  I'm glad that she was able to get a decent meal and to be able to talk a bit with her (even if she couldn't be completely honest with her).Now she has some difficult decisions to make.  I'm looking forward to your next update!  Great story, Livvy.Beth

Poor Hermione. She has no time to grieve for her parents. Her first thought was that she had money. That's an awful way to have to accept your parents' deaths. I would seriously recommend some pre-natal vitamins for her though. Scavenged food can't have all the proper nutrients for a growing fetus. I love how she reads to Serena; it must be very peaceful amongst all the chaos. I hate countdowns to the last chapters. They feel like a doomsday or something. It's depressing when your favorite WIP's end. Well, I guess if still have 9 more chapters, right? I shall certainly enjoy them as they come.

Wow...Hermione really is having a time of it.  First she is arrested, then she is kept in isolation, and now her parents are dead?  How much more angst can one girl handle??  As for Harry, I have always considered him a right prat.  I agree with the other poster that most people overlook his true pettiness, etc because he IS the main character.  As a secondary in this story, I think you have him nailed.  I have read SO many stories where Hermione, and to a point Severus also, let the things he says and does slide...I really hope he gets what he deserves this time.  Looking forward to the next update!!!   

Poor Hermione now she really is alone. Goodness you sure know how to keep a reader on the edge of their seats!  Keep up the great work I can't wait to read more.

I'm so nervous that what harry is going to do something that will not only hurt hermione but her baby as well. I agree with other people who commented on harry being in character. His attitude is often over looked in the books because the story is about him but since the story has a emphasis on hermione and severus we can see what (blank) he is. I really hate this harry ( you write him and all the characters really well) even if he decides to show remorse later I would not accept it if I was hermione. Please say hermione will be ok.

I wonder how far Harry will make it without her help? I'm assuming you'll have them back together as a team for the end? Excellent chapter.

Aww.  It just breaks my heart when Sev and Hermione are unhappy. 

The juxtaposition of sensual joy and cruel reality are certainly playing havoc with Hermione's and Severus' relationship.  The short time he allowed himself to feel his emotions only served, in the light of the new day, to bring home to him the horror that he must be prepared to carry out.  It broke my heart to see him wall himself off from her once more, but the fear of failure to bring down the Dark Lord, must be a terrible taskmaster.  I do hope that they will be able to steal a few hours at Easter holidays, but it will be a tricky thing.  Once again you've given us a stellar chapter and a look into the bleak world Voldemort has created.  Please be kind to our couple.  I know there are terrible times ahead, and that they will suffer another separation, but there has to be a spark of hope for people to be able to carry on in the face of such dire circumstances.Well done!Beth

Oh, no.... Severus is under tremendous stress, more than Hermione can realize.  I hope she figures out how to be with him at Easter despite her work schedule.  Hey, she still has to eat and sleep sometimes!  Glad to see Ginny working with Hermione.  Thanks for updating!

What a rollercoaster of a chapter. Hermione has a great night with Severus - then he pushes her away. She finally has a good start with Harry and his addiction to the book makes him unreasonable. grrr but good writing!

so sad for the Snapes.  Excellent chapter.  I enjoyed the very sweet time between Hermione and Severus.  It's a shame he feels the need to push away that vulnerability.  I hope eventually he can stop all this role-playing for two manipulative bastards and just enjoy his life.

My only complaint about this chapter is that it should have been much, much longer :)  I was so heartbroken at the morning after, when Severus was so curt with her.  I can see how he must be feeling; how hard it is to get a taste of something that you want so badly knowing it will be gone in the next moment.  Plus he hates so much to be vulnerable.  Hermione is having to be strong for everyone, and it must really be wearing on her.  And this is just the beginning, I'm sure.  That having been said, you promised me my happy ending (and you can't take it back.  I'm sure there is a fanfic rule on that somewhere) so you can pile on all the angst you want.  I happen to think the greatness of a happy ending is directly proportional to the amount of angst piled on along the way.  Whatever you do though, do it quickly.  I'm dying to know what lies ahead!

Yea, another update.  I am totaly entranced by this story.  I really feel for Severus, he is caught between a rock and a hard place.  To bad he can't let loose a little more often.  Harry needs to get his head out of his ass.  He is taking stubborness to a whole new level.  I hope he and Hermione work things out.
