It was perfect!  You built up the anticipation so well throughout the story and we finally made it!  Now I don't know what to expect, which makes it so much more exciting!

Holy crap dude.  Are we going to find out what killed Serena?  And Severus doesn't even KNOW. >.<

Thank God!  Livvy, I think I needed that chapter almost as much as they did!  LOL!  Lemony lemons!  I love it.I was happy that Severus was able to tell her that he was sorry he had hurt her.  That he had realized that she had been right that Lily had never loved him, and that what Hermione had seen evidence of was his hurt pride, and not a broken heart, over the way Lily had used him.Their love making was beautifully written.  And I'm so happy that they were given this time to be alone with each other.  Soon enough everyone will find out that she has returned after a three year absence, and it may be a while before they have this kind of peaceful time alone again.I have so many questions about the future.  I noticed in your response to my review for the last chapter you said, "The next chapter will have Severus and Hermione reunited again-for good this time."  You have no idea how I'm holding onto that statement... cuz I know that everything ahead of them can't be all sweetness and light... There's the matter of the Time Turner and going back in time, and somehow all this will have to come out.  Will Severus be hurt that she only told Dumbledore about it, that she left him out?  Surely he will realize that she couldn't have said anything to anyone other than the Headmaster for fear of changing the future.  And even then she refused to tell Dumbledore everything.And then there's Voldemort's return in ten years, but at least both Dumbledore and Severus believe their world is not yet rid of the Dark Lord, so there is time to make plans and refine those plans.Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.  I'll stop with the questions now.  Besides I know you can't answer them, but I have a baker's dozen more, I assure you.Great writing, Livvy.  You go, girl!  Beth

A stillbirth is very realistic under these circumstances. Reality is that cruel, or in fact, she saves the mother. All the accusations from Dirk must have been most terrible to Hermione's already strained nerves.You did a great job explainign allthe interactions and the tension here without elaborating all details!Now, please give Serena a peaceful place that won't be disturbed in the battles.I am not perfectly sure if Ted is a Muggle or a Muggle-born wizard, as the HP lexicon says. The Black family tree might confuse the terms simply because Mrs Black doesn't see a difference. But no matter, he's a good guy, and so is his wife! If Andromeda is as strongminded as her sisters, she is also not helpless or afraid of defending herself and Hermione. Will it be a problem that she was close to Sirius?I'd like to see how Severus is faring!

Excellent chapter. Very sad, and very tragic, but that's what makes it all the more believable. I can't imagine anyone being able to get through such a stressful situation as well as pregancy with a food shortage as such for very long without something like this happening. Poor Hermione. I wonder if/when Severus will find out?Again, excellent writing, and I always look forward to each and every chapter. =) Keep up the wonderful work.

ohh nooo.  I hate this part.  Not that I hate your story.  Just the fact that Snape kills Dumbledore and is on the run.  It's important to the story but so devastating.  Dumbledore asked too much!

This story is soooooo great! I love the angst and now she will live without him and the wizarding world for 3 years. Forgive me but I had forgotten the beginning and went back to refresh my memory. I do hope this will go well when she does return to the wizarding world. But I do understand now why she has to leave. She needs to let life happen. I thoroughly enjoy this story and I look forward to the lemonade you have promised us.

Wow, it's kind of sad that my favorite line is in your notes and not in the story. I loved the chapter - don't get me wrong. However, I loved the little line "For those who have been asking for lemons...we are now approaching the grove!" Now don't forget to truly pay up in the next chapter or two. =)

Things couldn't have gone more wrong when Severus came to Gryffindor Tower to tell them it was safe to leave the confines of their Houses.  Seeing Lily and James snogging had very nearly sent him over the edge.  How that must have hurt Hermione!Great goodness!  Things are rapidly going down hill.  The Ministry is close to collapse, and someone there is plotting to bring about its downfall.  Several members of Gryffindor have take their NEWTS and have "disappeared" for Auror training and become members of the Order... except Hermione who stayed behind to do what she could at Hogwarts, and Remus who has joined Fenrir Grayback's werewolf pack.  Everything is rapidly going to hell in a hand basket!

I couldn't believe the beating that Hermione took from two Slytherins for slapping Severus during their talk by the lake!  And he didn't go to see her when she was recovering in the infirmary for a solid week!  I couldn't believe that!  I think Dumbledore summed it up vbery well for Hermione when he told her, “It’s hard to let go in the best of circumstances, but when a person is so prideful, it can be nearly impossible…”

Believing, with very good reason, that Severus was still in love with Lily, now Hermione has made her decision to leave the Wizarding world until Hallowe'en, 1981, three years... and the day she knew that Lord Voldemort would disappear when his killing curse cast at Harry Potter would rebound and send him into oblivion for ten years.  When Severus came to talk to her, I was so upset with him that he would talk about her coming with him to the Dark Lord.  “If you don’t come with me, Hermione, we can’t be together!” he snapped. “I HAVE to go back. I’ve come so far now, and I have to keep you safe. The only way is to finish what I have started.”   All I could think of was that he was so seduced by Voldemort's flattery and his own pride that he could bring down the Dark Lord that he could even think it was a good idea for her to come with him! 

Hermione didn't know whether or not Severus could still be trusted.  So sad! 

After I finished reading this chapter, I went back and read the first one again, and I am blown away by the perfect integration of the chapters in this tale.  You're doing a marvelous job of weaving the chapters together seamlessly!  I take my hat off to you.  You're doing a great job of it all!
