Yeeks.  I'm glad the Order members are supportive of Hermione and that Severus got to hex Sirius.  But I wish Hermione would go read a book about survivors of rape so that she starts to understand her feelings; I'd suggest a Muggle counselor but I don't think she has time for that.  She can give the book to Severus so read as well.  They don't need the stress at this time, with Umbridge and Voldy and Sirius all making their lives miserable.  And Harry is PMS-ing!  Thanks for the new chapter.

Poor Sev and Hermione... You've put them through hell and back again.  I hope they come out of this one ok.  I love this story, but Livvy, you just won't give these two kids a break.  :)

Severus should pick up some Muggle psychology books if he wants to understand what his wife is going through.  It's so hard for both of them.  Severus reacted better than I expected at the beginning though. The healing process will take a long time though, I suppose.

Well, I certainly thought that Severus handled things well. Hermione's trauma is going to drive a wedge between Severus and Hermione unless she talks to him. I loved Arthur in this. All the Weaasleys standing up for her like that.

I don't like how Sirius's actions are affecting Severus's and Hermione's relationship, however I understand why it's happening. You write about rape/attempted rape victims reactions very well. It also helps that you are very tactful. Great Chapter - I can now forgive you (mostly) for that last one... =)

Will she be able to hide this from Harry and Ron? I'm glad you didn't have her bounce back as though nothing had happened.

Such a sad situation, hopefully Hermione won't allow herself to fear all men because of a bad experience with one.  Although, it looks like she is starting to do just that.

I really don't get why Hermione is so ticked at Snape. He really didn't do anything wrong. I didn't know that normal conversation was a reason for being so distant. What does she expect him to do? He is a professor there and needs to keep order. And evidently he's just supposed to agree with her about everything.

Gods she's frustrated, and with reason. It is getting increasingly difficult to hide her experience--and Severus had to rub it in, of course! At least he is in a good mood now. Harry depends on stimulation as if addicted, dampening or encouraging, perppering up or sedating--but some drug it has to be every hour, every day. You're still doing an excellent job weaving your story into canon!But hey, a nightgown is just a layer of cloth that calls for removing. For example because suddenly it feels far too hot inside?? If Severus cannot achieve this then he's either not motivated, which happens to the best of people, or respecting her mood, which is noble.

Mr and Mrs Spy are not doing well at keeping their marriage separate from their Order work.  Does Hermione know that Sirius gave Harry one of a pair of communication mirrors?  Thanks for updating!!

Poor Hermione has really got it rough.  I hope she can hang in there a bit longer.  Hopefully Harry is too consumed with Umbridge and Voldemort to really catch on to all of the weird, subtle  things that are bound to start happening.  He already made the connection between Snape and Hermione being gone at the same time.  Now Sirius can't control his tongue and slipped up in front of him.  She is going to have to work really hard not to know more than Harry in the DA and also remember that as far as they know, she has never been to the department of mysteries.  Poor girl needs some stress relief.  Best throw away the cotton nightgown!

You do such a  good job mixing the book in with your story, but I think I like your spin on events better.

Whew!  This chapter was filled with one frustating occurance after another, and I could feel Hermione's mood going from high dudgeon to extreme ire!  I was all caught up in her state of irritation, and then you wrote one of the funniest SSHG moments I've ever read:Later that night, Hermione stormed into her bedroom and faced Severus, who was in the process of getting undressed for bed. “Unbelievable!” she yelled. Severus looked at her and deadpanned, “I know, and it’s all yours for the taking, so come on over and get naked.” Livvy, I laughed so hard I cried.  Severus was absolutely and completely precious.  I could see his face and the glint in his eye!  And then Hermione puts on her granny gown and cuts him off.  Oh dear, I loved that scene.  And you get extra points and flowers for making me laugh so hard.I adore this story, girl!  A Thousand Points to Your House and a bouquet of lovely posies.Beth
