I REALLY liked this. The intimacy and almost playful touching, yet without changing Snape into something everyone knows he's not. Very lush.

Considering the wait Hermione (and Severus, come to that) have had for that moment, I can't call either of them lucky. I can, however, be jealous. Of a fictional character.Regardless, please say that there's more where that came from!

What a nice balance to the chaos in the rest of his life.  I really enjoyed their unadulterated delight in each other.

Errr, it already feels so dark knowing what's to come. Nice job writing Voldy. He always exudes an air of menace, but like Snape I have to agree that he can be kind of funny on occasion. Brill again. Update when you can.

This is a damn good story...

The last sentence is very near of an open admission of what Voldemort's plans are. I'm sure that Severus will make the connection.

You do amaze me, having the DL make a joke about Binns and then smirk over Delores's exit escapade.  The DL possessing a sense of humour is still rather creepy though.  I look forward to the start of the new school year and more interaction between our favourite couple.

I can't believe you pulled the whole slash thing off.  I can't believe you did it.  oh. my. god.  sirius black!  oh my god.  um.  I guess I've kind of been in shock since umbriged was raped by the centaurs (and the reason snape missed the whole thing at the ministry was that he was having a centaura  orgy---clever, that) and this was just the last straw.  I don't know how you write this and still make it seem plausible to me.

Good one!  Adding Snape's thought processes to this well known scene heightened my enjoyment.  I howled over Snape's addition to Wormtail's  drawers.  What an image.  I know I'm behind in my reading, but isn't it time for more?  please... 

Wonderful rationale about Dumbledore's hand.  I haven't seen this particular explanation before and I quite like it.  It's plausible, especially given your set up.  I also loved the idea that Severus spends time by the lake when the students are gone.
