Severus Snape has always been my fav character since I found HP. I enjoy dark, graphic stories, but will read some fluff and I love humour.
Happy to be in Slytherin house.

God, Shell, that was awesome. Of course, I only read the first half (up to my inappropriate insertion, LOL!). But I had no idea... Oh my god, this was so, so good! It was absolutely intense, vivid--incredibly vivid! I mean, I saw the lobby (that mural? your imagination is just astounding), the bed, the bathroom, not to mention the whole flying episode.
I am so proud of you for this chapter.
I have real tears, though. Thank you for the dedication, and I'm sorry I didn't help more. I know what you'll say, family emergency, but still. My thanks to RedSky for stepping in to pinch-hit for me.

I was really worried about the end of this chapter. I didn't know f it was okay and ended well. You have become my rock and without you, I seriously feel lost.

I wonder if Severus' nightmare was anything like Hermione's. That would be weird if they shared a nightmare, but not surprising. The exchange between Severus and the guy at the front desk seemed a bit strange. I wonder if they were talking to each other via Legilimency. I have the feeling there are 2 rooms available, but Severus arranged for the guy to say there was only one so that he could share with Hermione.

Jezebel's capture certainly was an unexpected twist. I loved the lies he told and the unbreakable vow. I suspect it will make interesting reading in later chapters.

I love the layers of intrigue this story has. Hermione having a crush on Severus makes his job so much easier. Perhaps some redemtion will be found in him, but I doubt it.

I love Snape's thoughts: "Insolent chit. God I want her." I gather there was a little nudge, nudge, wink, wink with the check in clerk at the hotel so there would only be one room available. Hermione certainly is having some terrible dreams. I though she was coming around to trusting Snape, but these dreams are saying otherwise. I tried to find the supplement to this chapter that you said lulabelle72 wrote for you on your LJ, but I could not find it. No luck on her LJ either. You can find me on LJ as "maddie50." I must have been staring right at it and not realized it. Could you point it out to me please?

Great chapter! But incredibly confusing. I'm back to thinking that something is controlling or manipulating Severus. Was the food drugged? And how much extra does Severus have to pay the ckeck-in clerk for going along with the lie? Loved it!

That was an intense dream sequence. I'm wondering now if Severus is really having nightmares as well, or if he's manipulating Hermione. This is such a great, suspenseful story!

It is indeed a dark fic, but I am intrigued. I will hold out hope that Hermione can break through his damaged psyche and bring him peace.

Her heart fluttered as she thought back to her bubble bath yesterday night--her fantasy was still vividly fresh in her mind; what if he delved into her mind while in Egypt and saw that? What would he say? How would he react--How would he react? He'd be ecstatic! He'd be ready. He'd be... sigh... devine.I don't know what's coming next, but I'm ready for it. I never know quite what to say about a chapter like this. I would hate to exclaim, Wonderful, or Great Job, because of the content. But it is well done, in spite of the content. I found it interesting that you had the DE's collecting specific women. It actually had a purpose rather then just random mayhem.I have to agree that Death Eaters are very serious about their cause, their Supremecy, and are not nice people! They are not going to sit around sipping tea and have polite business & stratagy meetings.

This chapter really got to me. But I understand why it had to be written, and the contribution it makes to the story as a whole.I can see how Snape has begun to very slowly change. His inability to watch all of the torture at the Death Eater revel tells me that he is not completely lost. He could not leave the victims bodies unattended, and he gave them the best burial he could under the circumstances.His solution to saving Jezzie will make her his spy, but not Voldermort's. So Snape will be in an excellent position to know everything that is going on with Hermione, but that doesn't mean that he will tell the Dark Lord everything he knows.There are so many directions this story can take, so I have no clue what the future holds, but where ever it goes, I'll be reading.Beth

Order of Merlin (First class) for your bravery. While the chapter was not nice, it was what I believe a revel would actually be like when you consider the personalities of who would be there - Voldemort and Bella etc.Interesting that you had him detach and then mentally flee the torture. I suppose you wanted to have some humanity to work with.The use of the imagery of Hermione's eyes was a great tool to prick his conscience, plus the whole 'eyes being the windows to the soul' idea. I must admit I was a bit taken aback by Jezzie being there but the weaving in and manipulation of her and Hermione through her will be an interesting plot development. “You can’t lie to me, you know." is a fantstic line! Once again thanks for your courageCheers,
