I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.

Reviews for Love Remains
I've read everything in one sitting and I enjoyed it all!I can't wait until the next chapter and will be bookmarking it!
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Thank you so much for reviewing! I hope you enjoy where I take this story!
I feel so sorry for Severus. And poor Lily for not being able to move on. That takes time, and I think Snape is suffocating her, though he's trying not to.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
He is so happy and wrapped up in what he sees as "his family"- not that Lily contradicts him or discourages him. It is sad because for the first time in his life he is completely open and honest. He truly loves her and Harry.
I feel for Severus....he love Lily with every piece of his heart and she can't love him back.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Yes, it is very sad. She wants it to work, but she knows deep inside she doesn't love him like she loves James. Perhaps that is the problem?
I don't know who to feel more sorry for - Lily for feeling like she has to stay with Severus because of Harry, or Snape, for finally having everything he wants and possibly losing it.I wonder if Lily will figure out the Peter mystery when she visits with Lupin?
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Yes, it is very sad for both of them. All I will say is that her visit with Lupin will be painful and sad.
I think you've a snag in your story. Lily knew that Peter was the Secret Keeper, and that if Siruis had comfronted Peter, she would or should have figured out why. She's suppose to be smart. I know she's grieving, but she seems so pathetic in these frist few chapters. As for their sex - I think she is simply using him. It's just like before, 'use me - make me feel' like of pitty submission to him. Poor Severus, he believes that she is actually starting to feel for him when it's obvious Lily can't really feel much at all. He's going to get hurt by her all over again, if things progress without some real mental breakthroughs from her.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
The snag is deliberate. The first chapter you see a rational and competant Lily who says what she means and means what she says. Now she is so torn up inside she can't think rationally. Perhaps I could have written it better to explain how she is deteroirating. I think in two chapters she talks about how Sirius scared her. His barging in Severus' quarters and demanding she leave with him and when she wouldn't, essentailly breaking off the realtionship, really affected her. She is very mentally unstable and you are spot on about their realtionaship. Lily is trying to make something fit tht doesn't. She will have to face this. She is supposed to be smart and her inability to put facts together and realize what the hell she's doing shows she's not playing with a full deck. And yes, poor Severus! He is experiencing for the first time real love. He truly loves Harry and Lily and has the family he always wanted. There is no guile or falseness about his feelings. It's such a shame that he is blinded by them. Thanks for reviewing!
Very intense. Great work.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Thanks for reviewing! I hope you keep on liking the story.
It seems a little fast for a widow to be taking a lover, even an old flame. But what really disturbs me is that in chapter one Lily knew who their secret keeper was. So how did Sirius get charged with those murders? Sirius could speak for himself, and Lily would tell the court that Pettigrew was not trustworthy and what he had done to them. So that doesn't make sense to me. If James or Lily had survived in the books, they would have defended Sirius.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
As far as the Wizarding world knows, Lily is dead. Dumbledore and Severus are concerned about Lucius Malfoy trying to take Voldemort's place. She is still marked for death. Also, Sirius' barging in Severus' quarters and trying to force Lily to go with him probabky did not help matters. Things were left on a sour note between them. That also will be discussed in a later chapter. The reason I left that tidbit off kilter was to show how unstable Lily is. Before James' death she was able to think rationally about things, but now she can't. It will be explored further in the next chapters. I agree. Lily is moving way too fast, and is really pushing herself into a corner. Severus held off once, but when a woman you love keeps slipping in your bed and finally begs you to have sex with her, a person can only take so much! Poor guy! Severus' motives are entirely pure, he's just so caught up in his happiness he can't see what's really going on.Thanks for reviewing!
Response from pookah (Reviewer)
Thanks for clearing that up for me! Yeah, it could really backfire later on Severus. She may blame him for doing what she asked of him.
I have high hopes for this story and will continue to follow it. That being said, though, I must confess that I'm not terribly fond of 'your' Snape. I think he so obsessed with Lily that he's not thinking straight. And Lily isn't, either. I love the premise, however.Keep up the good work.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
It is stange seeing Snape happy. Although I think he is a bit taken with Lily, I think he's more grounded than she. He refused her sexual advances and came clean about his past. He truly loves Harry, but he does have Lily on a pedestal. Now, Lily is definately not thinking straight. More will be explored along this vein. Thanks for the encouragement! We have a long way to go before all this is sorted out.
Lily seems so conflicted about that. It was a lovely sex scene but they are at such different purposes there it was almost painful to read.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Yes, there is a lot of conflict there. More will be explored about her confusion and troubles. Thanks for reviewing!
Don't know if you'll turn me completely into an SS/LE shipper, but I'm still liking this story. Keep up the good work. :-D (Didn't I say something like that already? hee hee).
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
I'm happy you are liking the story. Its far from over, hope you enjoy the ride!
Things are progressing... yet, are they? I get the feeling that Lily will have some sort of mental meltdown. I guess it's because she seems so numb, ya know? Good work
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Yes, Severus is so very happy. All seems content in the Snape household. Very good intuition about Lily. She is not well inside. Thanks!
Wow - that was intense. I find your Snape a little disturbing - and I mean that in a good way. Sirius is in Azkaban for just the "murder" of Pettigrew - right? Do we all know in this story that Peter was the secret keeper of the Potters? What's going to happen there?
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Yes, some things remain the same. Peter did betray Lily and James to Voldemort. However, she is so disturbed and confused, she is unable to make rational decisions. Sirius did though, and his confrontation with Peter only got him put in Azkaban. It will all come out that Peter was the betrayer. Thanks for reviewing!
Peter was the secret keeper! Did she forget that? She needs to watch herself. I think she is getting in too deep with Severus.Great chapter...I look forward to updates!
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
I did this on purpose. Lily is not "all there". She is scared, confused, and shocked that people see had loved could be so cruel and/or taken from her so violently. She more than likely believes anyone capable of anything. With how Sirius reacted, barging in and demanding she leave Snape, I think she focused on him and that he must have been the betrayer. After all, he was there right after the attack. I agree, a rational, logical person would put two and two together. She is incapable of it. This deteroration will be examined further. Thanks for reviewing!
Young, in love Snape is so different from Older, cynical, lovelorn Snape. :)
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
LOL I should hope so! It's strange but nice seeing him this way.THanks for reviewing
At first I felt that Snape was becoming a bit too OOC, but on reflection it does ring true for a young Snape, one that hasn't lived all those (long)years without Lily, as a Death Eater/Spy or (Merlin-forbid) as a teacher of Dunderheads! On them getting together - While it is a highly emotional time and her judgement is most likely compromised, I feel that it is plausible for them to slip from friends to lovers because she she has known him for so long that she feels safe with him, plus they have common interests. Considering the recent trauma she has faced a relationship with Snape would be like putting on your favourite p[air of slippers. Also Snape's love of Harry plays on her maternal love for Harry, and would also relieve anxiety in the back of her mind of who would look after Harry if she were killed. We never really 'know' what happened between Lily and Snape. JKR states that they were only friends - but considering lack of Canon proof and Snape's ongoing obsession with Lily, surely it may be plausible that they were more than friends? But I digress...I'll finish off by saying love this story, and I will be bookmarking it to see what you do with them. While I am a SS/HG fan, I think that this 'what if' Lily/ Severus is a lovely plot. Looking forward to read more.Cheers.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Yes, for us, used to the hardened Snape, this is a different Snape altogether! You are spot on with your analysis of Lily's feelings/ Severus is a comfort and so available. She is also driven by her love for her son. More on this strain will be developed. This fic has grown and grown. Many twists and turns, familiar and unfamiliar will be revealed before its all over. Thanks for reviewing!
I hope the two of them know what they are getting into... She is going through so much at the moment, I wonder if she is thinking clearly.Has Lily forgotten that Peter was their secret keeper? That would have been the only way for Voldy to get in to the house. I suppose she is so emotional, she is not thinking properly.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
You are amazingly accurate in your assesment of Lily. She is NOT thinking clearly, is very emotioonally unstable, and is very conflicted. More will be revealed on that area.Yes, I deliberately left that info on Peter drop on purpose to show that Lily is not thinking clearly. Her loss has altered her so that she is unable to process everything that has happened. Thanks for reviewing!
Really good chapter. I loved the fact that Severus kept his cool and that he comforted Harry right in front of him. Sirius was such a prat (very much in canon – but a prat!) It’s cute that Lily is shacked up with him, and refused to leave with Sirius. I hope Sirius doesn’t let sip to Peter, that would be disastrous. Poor Lily if she thinks ‘payment’ for Severus being kind to her should equate sex. Dumb girl. Sex doesn’t = payment –that only turns you into a whore. Severus reaction was wonderful. I liked it so much better his way, and she should have known better. Two things I wanted to point out. The ” after Severus! shouldn’t be there I don’t think =… and judge me and Severus!” I am still marked for death, you know! … and seeing alright used instead of all right throws me – but well done nevertheless.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Thanks for reviewing! I'll have to look over the things you pointed out and fix them.As for Lily, she knows Severus loves her and she feels she owes him something for being so good to her when she's lost her husband and now her son's godfather. She has nothing to give, but herself. She's still young and vulnerable. I actually think she's a bit touched in the head. But Severus wants it all. He won't settle for anything less than true affection with sex or there'll be none at all. I'm glad you liked his reaction. I think it shows just how genuine his motives and feelings are.
I totally loved the tender moment with Severus holding little baby Harry and the thought of him grasping Severus’ nose. I can only hope this reunion bodes well for Severus and Lily. It’s really touching – and yet somehow I still expect a turn of events to make things go sour… I truly hope I’m wrong though.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
I could not resist having Harry grab Severus' nose! I think it was the perfect way the melt Snape's cold heart. You know I can't say either way what will happen except this: His concern for Harry is very real and he will grow to love him as his own.
This is a really good story. I love the relationship (re?)developing between Lily and Snape. This looks like Snape could turn out differently because of a second chance given. What about Peter?
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Somethings will change and some things will remain the same. I cannot tell you what will change and what will remain, just know that Peter will be dealt with eventually.
When I first read this, I kept thinking how out of character Snape is -- then I have to remember that this story takes place when Snape, Sirius, and Lily are only in thier early twenties. Although he's been the subject of ridicule at the hands of Sirius and James, and he's a Death Eater, Severus hasn't yet been hardened by years of remorse, regret, and being pushed around by Dumbledore. May I ask where Remus is in this story? He was one of the Marauders -- why isn't he trying to comfort Lily as well as Sirius?Looking forward to more.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
I'm glad you could see how they needed to be a bit different then the Mauraders and Snape we know and are familiar with.As for Remus, He will be coming in shortly and will remain as a huge presence in the story throughout. I think in two more chapters he will come up.One thing you have to remember is that James and Lily were marked for death and now James is dead and as far as the Wizarding world knows, so is Lily. I would think, especially for Remus being a werewolf, would feel a need to hide away for a while. It's not a great time to be a friend of the Potters. And also, Remus doesn't want to be forced into "recruitment" by Greyback or any other werewolves working for Voldemort. So, he's laying low. Thanks for asking about old Remus. He is going to be a major stabilizing character for all the others.
I was wondering how long it would take for that confrontation between Sirius and Severus to happen. Good job! :-D
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
What a good chapter. I think Sirius gave up to easily. Severus is a Death Eater after all. But he seems to have such a soft side when it comes to Harry. Who would have thought that? Nice job!
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Thanks! You have to remember that Sirius has not gone yet to Azkaban. Yes, Severus truly loves Harry and that love will grow and strengthen in time.
Very, very nice. I thought Sirius was rather easily dissuaded, compared to some stories, but then I remembered he hadn't been to Azkaban.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
Yes, he has yet to be hardened. That's one of the reasons I enjoy writing these characters pre-Harry Potter Hogwarts years. You can work with some OFC behavior because they are younger and not yet so hardened and careworn. Thanks for reviewing!
I love the way Severus is falling for Harry. It makes a huge change to the way he is in Canon. Sirius has just got a bug up his arse. he needs to understand where Lily is coming from. She was friends with Severus long before she married James!
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
All true, however, where Severus is concerned, Sirius will always have a prejudice against him. Some things never change.
I'm surprized that Sirius isn't more upset with Pettigrew's betrayal! People do have blind spots, though, and they can't see the truth all the time, when their particular blind spot is in the way.Good chapter
Response from livvy6 (Author of Love Remains)
I don't know if he is certain about it. I think he has a hunch, but where Snape is concerned, he always will think the worst! He definately has a blind spot when it comes to him. Thanks for reviewing!
