A very good chapter!

Livvy, I am absolutely amazed with your writing.  All along the way I have gone back to reread earlier chapters just to refresh my mind when something in the current chapter niggles something in my mind!  I love convoluted and involved stories like this one... they make my think and search and research!  Thank you!!!And now the story becomes even more convoluted!  • Hermione and Remus have had a frank talk about their relationship, and Remus now understands without a doubt that she has given her heart to Severus.• Hermione and Remus have been inducted into the Order, but Hermione will not attend meetings and will only interface with Dumbledore, Minerva, and Moody.  I wonder if at sometime Remus may slip up and tell someone that Hermione is in the Order.• Severus is becoming more involved with Voldemort's plans and his fellow Slytherins.  Spending the summer at Malfoy Manor?  Things are getting very sticky!• Lily has tipped her hand where Voldemort is concerned, and he has written her off... Death Eater speak for making plans for her to die.• And what in the world is going on with Severus Black?  Is he really James' friend, or is he secretly a member of Voldemort's minions?• James is totally obsessed with Lily and is missing the point that she is delighting in humiliating him publicly.How do you keep it all sorted?  However you do it, you do it well!  I'm looking forward to the next chapter.Beth

Wow. livvy!  This chapter is soooooo good!

I don't know how Hermione kept it together when Severus told her that he would never willingly touch another woman, but that the Dark Lord might insist on his being sexually involved with a witch.  (That would have broken my heart.)  Will the Dark Lord be satisfied to allow Severus to only submit to oral service? "I won’t have intercourse—I won’t even touch her—only allow oral service." What happens if DL demands that he have intercourse with the witches among the Death Eaters.  Surely Voldemort's all consuming desire for complete control over all things will have him calling the shots about Severus sex life as well.  After all, it seems that having the Death Eaters "watch each other copulate" is one of the Dark Lord's favorite tools for manipulating his minions — wizards and witches alike.I was relieved for Hermione that she finally established boundaries for her friendship with Lily.  Despite Lily's protestations that she wasn't gay, it didn't take her long to form a new circle of friends that excluded all males as well as Hermione.  I'm beginning to think that she is bisexual, and that she ultimately chose to marry James because she needs to be close to powerful people and to be the center of attention... things that James would provide in spades.I wanted to cheer when Sirius pushed Hermione too far and she cast Sectumsempra on him.  He badly needed to be taken down a peg, and her showing everyone in the Gryffindor common room that she had the power to hex and to heal showed clearly the difference between them... she is much stronger than Sirius.Great chapter, livvy!  And now I'm off to read the next one!Beth

although I can't help buy to mourn the interaction between Severus and Hermione just a little ;p
Lily seems to be a bit cold now, I did notice.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

Great Chapter - can't wait for the next one... and hey didn't I read in a previous review that there would be some more lemons before school was out. Will that happen with our Sev and Hermione when she's with Voldemort?...

Not enough Severus in this chapter. Averu calling hermione a Mudblood, when he's not even sure of her herritage seemed off to me. Dunbledore recruiting Hermione into the Order of the Phoenix when he knows the truth about her and that she is'nt of this timeline seemed sneaky and devious in my book. Hmm, You've dug yourself a hole.

Very interesting.  Lily is really not much on growth, is she?  I thought it interesting that Hermione wondered if she even felt anything for James.  How sad is that?  It seems that even though Hermione wants to stay out of everything, everything keeps drawing her in.  With Voldemort wanting to 'control' her and her new status in the Order it will be interesting to see what the future brings.As for her returning to her present, is that even possible?  She would be so much older.  How would she explain that?  I think the time for her to return to her present has long gone.  Of course, it might be even harder to explain why a 30-something year old Hermione is wandering around too.  Can't wait to see how you do all of this and explain everything.

Ooh, things are accelerating! You starting in media res is driving me nuts as I try to think how things got there!

The relations between the Slytherins and Gryffindors are on a downward spiral, and I don't think that Sirius and James will be able to temper their actions for too long.  Most probably it will be the hot-headed Sirius Black who will make the first move against Severus.  Of course that is only a guess, but I have a 50% chance of being right:  either he will or he won't.When Hermione confessed her love for Severus to Remus, I had to wonder if Future!Remus will remember this conversation when he sees Hermione again in the future.I was glad to her from Mary McDonald's own lips that she thought Lily "has no real inclination of what is happening here, or she just wants to turn a blind eye to it all.  Hermione, I really am sorry that she has treated you with such disdain. Her mind is so closed. I don’t think she’s gotten over what Severus did to her.”     Lily hasn't gotten over what Severus did to her?  She's a right selfish *itch. Another great chapter, livvy!  Thanks!Beth 

How utterly sad that Severus had to lose his mother, and what an awful way to find out.“Hermione, the bell cannot be unrung,” he said firmly. “What is done is done. She is now the Head of Gryffindor House and Avery the Head of Slytherin.  I can tell there are any number of ways this could all play out, and I'm glad you're the one deciding!!!I fear for both Severus and Hermione.  What will become of them?Great writing, livvy!!!Beth

This is my favorite chapter, too!  I'm also a Yank, but in 1975, I was married with a five year old daughter and a three year old son... and I remember these songs well.  ABBA was "my group" during those days.  Now for my review:Eileen Snape watched through her kitchen window as Hermione washed her son’s hair. She smiled. Hermione was good for Severus. She felt better now, knowing she would be leaving him in good hands…

The above passage leaped off the page at me as I was reading.  Was this just a passing thought since she knew that Hermione wanted more than anything to preserve the friendship she and Severus had... or was this prescience, something in the future she had seen as she scried her son and his friend?  Her own not-too-distant death perhaps?  The music you have chosen couldn't have been more perfect!!!!SOS:

These last lines of the chorus made me think back to the beginning of the story and the life Hermione was living when we first met her...  She is spending all her free time in a disco, sometimes dancing, sometimes picking up a guy, sometimes snorting coke.  Was this club at the beginning of the story the same one where Severus took her dancing?  God! you're breaking my heart, livvy!  When I put the pieces together, I wanted to cry!  For all of them.  Hell, I did cry!

There are a couple of other ABBA songs that I thought of in relation to this story.  Don't feel like you have to read 'em, but I couldn't help but include some of the lyrics:

Omg. I loved this chapter. And not just because I'm a smut-nut (although that bit at the end was fabulous). I loved how Hermione told off Sirius and dealt with that whole situation. I'm glad that Hermione and Severus will be spending the summer together with his mother at Spinner's End. Lily has always been selfish and self-centered, but she has become more and more intent on being the center of attention, wanting what she wants when she wants it and the rest of the world be damned.  She ain't right.The time Hermione spent with Severus on the Astronomy Tower was touching.  He is so wounded, and Hermione knows so much more about the future, and I'm glad for both their sakes that she was able to reassure him and that they were able to swear their friendship to one another.  Maybe it will come back to haunt one or both of them, but for now it was the right thing to do.Wonderful chappie!Beth

Oh my god woman you are driving me nuts! I want the WHOLE story and I want it now! Okay, now that my little out burst is past and you know how I feel - I will be patient because I know that you are doing all that you can to make the story perfect. I will be patient, I swear... Yep, trying. Okay at least promise me that the next chapter will be up in the next couple of days because every time I log online I look to see if the story has updated... I can see SO much potential with this story and from what you've written so far it is making me extreamely HAPPY!

Lord they are thick-headed! Sirius and James are such rigth pricks! And Lilly - Hermione was telling her the facts, what's out there, tnat she would loose the protection of school and be a taget and all she worried about was her litle pettinesses? I am finding it hard to care that she gets herself blown up - or James either.Hermione is such a strong girl, having to deal with their stupidity and arogrance. No wonder Snape though Harry arrogrant - Jame is such ah jerk and Sirius is no better.Severs prclaiming that he'd have to have sex with others was weird, and would have hurt me if someone I loved said that. I know she understands that he has to - but it's so hard to read. The gropong and fondling, the bringing to climax was so much like 'phone sex'. I don't understand why he didn't touch her, but only watched?
