I may read it but it really bothers me that you have the teachers grading the N.E.W.T.s when that makes no sense and isn't at all true.

Hmm, I guess this is just not my thing.  My biggest problem with this is that the teachers don't grade the OWLs or NEWTs.  For me, it is difficult to read something that I feel is so very OOC when the beginning action, the basis for the reason behind the rest of the story, goes against canon.  I was thinking about the NEWT scores throughout the rest of the chapter, which I think is well-written, just not to my taste.  I read the warnings but thought I would give it a try because your work is so well-done; however, I don't think that this story is something that I will continue.  Good luck with it--it's not the writing, but the subject matter I don't care for.  :)

Good flow, it moved right along from one place to another.

What struck me on this read (and probably cause I could read for fun as opposed to beta duties) was that originally, I was like, "Tag this as OOC Snape!" But now, you've got me thinking that THIS is how he could certainly have been if certain events hadn't affected him in certain ways. In other words, this bastard!Snape is a legitimate road he could have taken.

Wow! I love how you show his early feelings towards her, how his slowly changes his opinion and how he comes to value Hermione.  I think it might be a leap for Hermione to think that he is beginning to see her as his potential lover just because he uses her first name, but certainly he has become more aware of her as more than a student. Perhaps obsession is too strong a word, but then again, Severus needs someone desperately in his life, that maybe his latches on to her because she is more his equal than anyone else. Have to wait and see!!Excellent updates!!!!

OH! My poor man! Love how you made him so vulnerable, so desperate to escape his home and old life, and how needs something to fill that void in his life.  But yet, Hogwarts lets him down, as well. I am hating Dumbledore more and more...And Lily, I want to slap her.

You always manage to surprise me! I can't decide who I am more angry with, Hermione for acting like such a girl, instead of a member of the Order, or Dumbledore for trying to use her, or Severus. And since I can't really be mad at Severus, I'll pick Dumbledore :)  He has been placing people in impossible situations for years without any backup plans. Bad man...A wonderful, if shorter than normal chapter :)

 The trap he set just backfired on him! Bravo Hermione! Yet his heart is telling him: that the power of the Grotto did not evoke feelings. But that doesn't mak any sense? Of course it does, or if not - he will never know if it's him or the promise... Because that is exactly what he made her promise. He would be the only man she would want = and that's what he heard.  Sucker, Severus.ANd Hermione, unkowningly, has almost broken Severus Snape and all she had to do was be herself. I loved the pose in the tub, and that he was so spellbound to watch her!  Oh, just wait until she figures out what he did.

Whew.  I was really worried for Jessie.Not a good night and - although well written, I still feel queezy about some of the stuff... augh.

That silly girl, her dreams are telling her the truth of what happened and even Professor Black - but she's too out of her element to figure it out. Brightest witch of her age, HA!  The question is - did Severus actually rape her? Was the sex dream or warning or did he actually f--k her?

You're telling me he's no Lockhart? He's a snake.Oh, poor Hermione, she has no idea of what she's done - what he made her do.   I'm beginning to think that this Horcrux in the castle is a ruse...

She has to stop applogizing to him all the time!  What an idiot!  Yes, she now 'sees' him in a different light, but it's a ruse.  He's cold and cruel. She should stand up to him and call him on the carpet foo his actions.  Too bad he's too cold to appreciate someone as good, kind nad caring as she is.
