I'm rather disappointed that Hermione just grabbed up the Pensieve and appears to have settled down to view the memories. I had hoped that Severus giving them up would be enough for her. It seems to me that Severus being willing to share his memories should be message enough, and in return her message back to him should be trust in that fact without actually viewing them. If she views the memories, she is forcing him to prove himself and stating that she wouldn't trust him without that proof. [IMHO]But, I can't see Hermione not viewing them and sucking up all the information she can from them. It's not in her nature to let something go that she can learn from.It should be interesting to see how life in a box goes for Hermione and Severus. I would think it might be a bit like two ticked off, wet cats tossed into a bag together and the top tied shut... until things are settled.

Okay, I am so f*cking bad at clues!! But DAMN woman you are going to have rabid fans sending hexes your way. What did he leave her?!?! What are we going to find out! I love how you have made Hermione Snape's only weakness, and then there is the added dynamics of Dumbledore trying to control him through her, and just aaarrrggghhh its so good. Bloody brilliant, Shel!

amazing story !!! i read each chapter twice or thrice when you post it but one complain the length of chapters is way too short. I know i know you keep up quality not quantity but please try and one more thing i m waiting for new chapters and soon plz

This chapter reminded me of a t-shirt my father had.  It said Age and Treachery will Always Overcome Youth and Skill.  I was rooting for Severus.  Albus used people as pawns.

Hot damn, shell!  This is magnificent!!!   The very end of the last chapter dove tailed seamlessly into the beginning of this one!  Not a single missed breath!  Well done!I am totally blown away with Severus' retaliation against the years of manipulation he has had at Dumbledore's hand.  The old man deserved it!  Regardless of what MacGonnagol and Lupin have found out about Severus, there can be no doubt that Albus has admitted to using Severus ruthlessly:  “He’s been right the whole time; I am an old fool.” A man or woman can be pushed only so far before they will fight back... when you threaten or take away the only thing that has meaning in someone's life, they have nothing to lose by fighting back... and fighting dirty... and fighting to the death.  That is the biggest mistake "the old fool" made, and if he hadn't had the Portkey to put in Hermione's hand, the out come could have been very different with one or both of the wizards dead.Perhaps the one good thing that happened to Severus was realizing that the laughing he heard came from the piece of Voldemorts soul housed in the Horcrux:  Because he had [loved Hermione], the Horcrux had taken it as the ultimate betrayal. Instead of bestowing his once loyal servant the added strength to conquer his equal, the Horcrux shared its Dark magic with Dumbledore, which allowed him to overpower Snape. And even now, after the duel was finished, I'm not so sure that Dumbledore has learned his lesson:  Perhaps I misjudged you all these years, thinking you immune to the foolish stirrings of affection. But now I see that you will be of great use to us.”The Headmaster is still a user.  I think you should reach over your shoulder and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.  You've earned it!Thank you, thank you, thank you.  A Thousand Points to Your House!  Beth

all his hatred exploded!!!!thank you that you let us peep through the port-key-hole to see where Hermione had landed. mysterie in itself, but we will learn more about it, I guess?ah, right! that is the place where she will shag the handsome blond!!! he realy had a time. let it all out! how Dumbledore (who else, you are absolutely right!!!) had trained him in dueling, legilimens, oclumancy, and what but not, his drill seargent- like behaviour. oh yes, he must have hated it, knowing that he is only used as a cruise missile. wow.and this gun shot off!! wonderfull duel.these spells! And what did Headmaster Black tell him? In your story he is really fond of flying, at every occcasion, fine image.and then the mind raid. brrr. and he broke down by her images. Yes, this could be something in the line of love. it could also be something like pride of ownership. or so. I think he still doesn'T know about love. but he is on his way. and Dumbledore has again a weapon in hand.grr.he is an old fool.but a cunning fighter and strategist.

OMG!! That was... well, that was bloody brilliant! One of my favorite chapters. Snape so brutal! Oh, and then the end, just his absolute overpowering love for Hermione. Which completely controls him. This is so amazing, babe. And now, *trembles* what is going to happen next?! Where did Dumbledore send Hermione? And what is she going to say and do when she sees Snape again?!  See, this story just makes me want more and more.

So it's all up to Hermione now, Severus isn't on anyone's side but his own? Revenge. Look forward to more.
