In regards to the room with the keys… the prompt said ‘a secret room the JP+SB+RL+PP didn’t know about’ and ‘a place Severus considered his own private hide away.’ I remembered the room with the keys and it fit nicely with what I needed. Plus I loved the flying golden keys.

Yes, things are heating up and progressing…   However, I don’t want to spoil the fun – and give away too much. I’ll be passing on all this in due course – I promise!

 I’d like to refer you to my response for Macropis for this same chapter!  For Severus the effects of the room are a bit Déjà vu… and he’s pushing things forward with Hermione the same way he’d done with Lily – twenty years ago. Only now he’s in control.  Writing a seventeen year old boy discovering the intimacies of sex – I made Severus a bit intuitive. He’s quite the lover – simply because he wants to please Lily, make her respond to him an gets excited when she does… This too will play out more. But I don’t want to give away too much –

Yeah, well wouldn’t keep me away either. Imagine a seventeen year-old girl, who is having her sexual body awoken in this manner  and being told – keep away from me! Yeah Right! I’d be telling him ‘see you tomorrow!’  In a sense, both Lily and Hermione are lucky.  I’ve written seventeen year old Severus as the kind of guy that wants to please his partner – he so wants to please Lily, make her respond to him – he gets excited when he can.  As an adult he knows how to please and knows that ‘please her – you get more in return’  Yep, makes him a fairly good lover… even if he’s snarkey.

Thanks. I was quite thankful for DH in that it gives us insight into young Severus and that helped,  plus I have a young man I watch and he’s just discovering girls  so there is a little bit of him in there as well.  (not the sex part – the discovery and amazement part).

Present day Severus… He’s been through this before…  he’s been under the spells of the room for a long time.  He’s aware of them, but hasn’t been pushed by them for twenty years… this is déjà vu for him.  Been there now doing that – again!  I was kind of hoping that that was coming across in the chapters by having him repeat what he did with Lily – he does with Hermione so he can leave the room…  Only she’s responding to him…  It’s a bit disconcerting. He’s her teacher, he shouldn’t,  but has too, and it’s getting to him… Hope this clears up a bit for you?

Yep, I love playing with a seventeen year old Severus as he ‘discovers’ sex with Lily. Yep, Unlatching spells work on bras, and yep, girls come too! Handy things to know and remember – and as you can tell, even twenty years later – he remembered!

The problem with discovering what makes a girl swoon and go weak in the knees… They will want to feel that again, and again… Nope, Severus won’t get Hermione to stay away that easily!

He he he  he. Oh, well, that’s, um, I think Severus has a bit more control than that, at least for now.  He may be under the room’s spells, but he’s definitely controlling the physical aspects quite well… So we’ll see…

Yeah, well, Snape’s Slytherin. Somehow, he hasn’t considered the fact that Hermione is one of Harry’s trio, besides being a Gryffindor and is being awakened to her body in a mind-blowing way  By him!Come to think about it – aren’t Slytherins’ not only sly, cunning, manipulative but curious too?

Well, Lily's know Severus for years, there's a strong background of friendship and familiarity between them - poor Hermione has only known Severus as her snarky Potions professor... until now. It's a matter of perspectives. Not only that but he's not exactly being all open and talkative with her... She's ging to have to break into some built-up walls and he's ging to have to let her in. Give her time...
