Teenage Severus Snape and Lily find a room in the castle with a partially hidden staircase that leads them up to a private room at the top of a tower that even the Marauders don't know about.
Then twenty years later, Hermione Granger finds the room. Suddenly she’s confronted by Severus Snape, who’s always considered tower room to be his own private little nook, finds herself not only under the rooms spell, but must now meet the conditions of the room with the one professor that has always been her biggest enigma.

The irony of the house-elf was very cute. So, did Severus just continue with his personal business due to the baby or did he go to St. Mungo's?This is a very nice wrap-up, but I can't be but sad that it's over, no matter how relieved you are to have finished the tale, lol. This has been a fascinating read.

LOL Yes, she made him lose his home - so now she had to give him a new one. Seemed only fair. I left that you to you. You can decide which one he chooses. Either way, he already had a sucessful Potions business going under his own label.Yes, it's over, wrapped up. I'm glad you liked it, but as all lives go, there is always more, but every story has an end. Thank you for following along with me on this one. Oh yay! I realized today that I'd never reviewed this most recent chapter, but what a thrill it was. So wonderful for Severus to finally be able to embrace Hermione in public. I'm really looking forward to the ending. What a roller coaster this has been.

That was a beautiful chapter. I particularly like your account of young Snape. You open up with an action scene, which you don't often try. Good job.Of course this chapter is mostly about Hermione's emotions and response to Snape's attitude. Ron's jealousy was typical of him, and the re-enactment of the Yule Brawl was quite believable. Then, however, when Hermione and Snape meet at the tower, she looks quite confused, and it's not clear if she's just angry at Ron, or if she's really angry at Snape just as well. Indeed, the door let them out for a reason. I guess it means that they have been freed from the enchantment, but then, does that mean that all love between them has gone?

Thank you very much. Hmmm I may really think about your comment about opening with an actions scene... good point. Yes, this is mostly about Hermione's emotions and responces, not only to Severus, but to Ron as well. Thank you for the kind words about Ron's 're-enactment' of the Yule Ball. It was all I could think of to get Hermione and Severus into the room - alone. Nope, she was angry at Ron and lashed out at Severus, but in her turmulant emotional state didn't want and wasn't ready to have sex just to get out of the room either. Kinda hard to make love while your angry about something.The door opened because she confessed. They fulfilled the ultimate goal of the room--that which the Baron had intended to happen between him and Helena. Okay dokey, but I'll anser anyway--it solidified their love for each other and strengthened their relationship.

Thank you very much. I am updating. My alpha beta has the chapter and then SW69 gets it! As soon as it's thoroughly cleaned up, no messy misplaced commas and such, I'll post. But the story is fully written, art drawn, and I'm ready!

Yay! Together again at last. Severus wanted to be worthy of her love and respect, so he needed to put the pieces of his broken life together. There needed to be a mutual declaration of love to break the curse of the tower room, right?Such a great action and the vivid details readers have come to expect from you. All aboard beaweasley2's happy ending express! Woot.

Yep! They are together! Exactly!Actually, when Severus told Lily - way back - that he loved her, when he confessed it, it broke the spells on her, leaving him unrequited and trapped. (same happened to the other blokes of the couples I meantion throughout the story) So, Severus was up there with Hermione, and he confessed again. He saw in her expression the same look Lily had (talk about misreading someone!) and he rejected her, got up and left. Now he was still released, but as the 'rejector' not the 'unrequited.' However, Hermione was cursed as the one rejected - she bacame the unrequited one. She was the one that needed release. What needed to happen was for her to confess to him that she loved him back. Making Helena love him, thier declaring mutual love for each other is what the Baron intended with the spells in the first place. So, even though Hermione and Severus both did declared (finally) that they loved each other, this was more to release her than him.Oh, no... next chapter is angsty! You can skip it if you wanna? but it's really good. IMHO one of my favs of this story. I appreciate the compliment, really made me smile. I hope I can live up to this standard... I'll do my best. (back to typing)

I loved this chapter! I almost cried when Severus told Hermione that -“It was you, your voice I heard in the Shack that made me fight back – that made me want to live. It was for you that I walked up to the castle to face the Dark Lord. I love you, Hermione Granger. And if you’ll have an old ex-Death Eater, double agent, greasy git, murderer – I’m all yours.”I just loved that part!!!!
