I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan

and the plot thickens, if it were soup it would be a chowder, but only the finest of course! I like the way they both obtained information about the room from the ghosts who were the original protagonists.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you. You'll see more of the ghosts later. As the original couple of the Tower, they have both the imformation and reason... I didn't want all the information to come from books, Hermione will have to look outside the library to realy solve this one.

Temperature is rising in that room and so will something else soon I suspect !Wink

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Yep, the temp is rising, and so are other things and neither seems to really be aware of just how much they are effected, especially by each other.

Promising start. I like the juxtaposition of the different times and the comparison of the younger and older Severus

Poor Lily and Sev.  Neither of them can just enjoy their relationship with all that's going on in the world.

I am loving this story so much, especially the restraint in the 1997 chapters.  The build up of tension and the way they are building trust is beautiful.  I'm fascinated by Hermione's babbling to him and that he can't seem to say just what he wants to say either.  He's really trying to do the best thing, and I think his idea of them meeting somewhere other than the tower is brilliant.  He's right that she doesn't really know him yet, but I'm so glad he's trying to let her know him a little better.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

No it’s sad that Lily and Severus have soo many outside antagonists: she – his friends and house mates, him – the Gryffindor four and his friends and house mates… It would be hard enough without constantly having to fend off enemies. But I have Seve’s friends hating Lily, and the Gryffindor four hating Sev.
With Hermione and Severus, what started out as a way to simply keep Hermione from meeting/bumping into him in the tower where he knows he’ll have to push himself on her, (which in his mind is little less than forcing himself akin to assaulting a student or rape) ends up having to spend nearly every morning with Hermione in his office or lab. So yes, not only is she getting to know him, slowly since he is a hard guy to get to know, but he’s getting to know her, abet reluctantly.

I find it so interesting to see the differences between the two girls. Hermione seems to actually be interested in Severus himself, aside from the effect of the charms on the room, while Lily seems to be pulling away from him in every day life.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Yes, Hermione is trying to get to know him as a person; Lily, who has known him for years, is growing sick and tired to the fighting… They are both dealing with the relationship from different perspectives.

This was a great chapter. I really enjoyed the dentention scene… if you could still call it detention when Hermione was happy to be there. I like how you are progressing their relationship.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you very much. Yes, I do believe their relationship is coming along nicely... I think Snape softened the detention after hearing what really happened; at least I’d like to think so.

Oh, good. I'm glad to understand even more about the room. I especially like how she told him about the soul mates/being destined for each other thing. I think they are, and that's why they have such a strong attraction to each other far outside of the room as well. Still such a compelling story…    =)

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you very much. There are three conditions actually mentioned, and interpretation is key… Yes, Snape and Hermione have a soul mate/being destined for each other thing, but so did Severus and Lily or they wouldn’t have gotten into the room together… something to consider. It’s the comparison of the relationship between Severus/Lily and Snape/Hermione, the contrast and how each person reacts that’s been fun to weave. Well, back to typing…

I am happy to note that Severus enjoys Hermione's company just as she does his. Too bad he's too strong to act on his enjoyment most of the time. Perhaps the next morning he will kiss her again, unless he makes them drink the potion again. I wonder whether Severus will solve the spells before he and Hermione have sex. If the spells are gone and they still desire each other, then they'll know that they're not just cursed.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you for the review. I can’t actually answer your comments – because it would give too much away that is answered in the next few chapters. However consider what the spells on the tower actually do: draw you up to the room at the top of the tower, allure, entice. Once the door is closed you cannot open it until you do something physical, progress your sexual relationship forward. The room itself has Beguiling, Seduction, and Seducement Charms to make the ‘participants’ willing to go further, physically – while in the room. Once you have ‘gone a step farther,’ the door opens and you can leave. But it’s hard to have mind-blowing kisses, toe-curling kisses from a guy you like and admire and not want more! Right? Yes, they are under the spell, but how much is still the spells and how much isn’t? Always compare Hermione’s responses to Lily’s, both girls are seventeen in the story, both girls are affected by the same spells and both are with Severus… hint hint.!!

That was another great chapter!

I just wanted to say: in the first part, they were up by the tower when Hemione fell, and then it says Severus picked her up and carried her up the steps, but then it says he took he to his old unused office. His potions office was all the way down in the dungeons!

Other than that, it was fine!

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you very much. In response to your comment though, the entrance to the tower room is on the third floor of the castle, down the corridor from Fluffy’s room. when Snape kicked the door open it was an old unused office not his old unused office. “I wanted to make the room they entered an office rather than a classroom. Ironically, the error I made was in the beginning of the story when I placed the secret door of the tower eleven paces down the corridor from Fluffy’s room on the third floor! For which I have no explanation how that was possible! (Oops?) I may have to fix that later on…
But the location of the rooms isn’t as much fun to concentrate on as the growing relationship between Hermione and Severus. So I hope things are okay, Katie.

They're dancing ever closer and closer as the charms/hexes draw them together. I'm really looking forward to see how this goes...

I am so glad that Hermione got that small speech out. She may not be able to justify why she feels that way, but she at least explained what she feels. It will give Severus some food for thought.

Yes, it will. Thank you for the reveiw.

Can't have sex being the only thing between them *blinks*

Between these two? All they have to do is start talking and they'll find they have loads of common interests!

OK, I know she's a student, but why is he fighting this so badly?

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Morales, ethics, teacher/student thing, this is the Insufferable-Know-It-All, Potter-brat’s best friend and all around he’s not sure what he’s getting himself into… Well, he knows and he’s just having a hard time coming to grips. He’ll be fine.

Well - it was sad that Severus had grown so much colder to her in this chapter and that he was really pushing her away. I wonder how much of this he is really fighting because he does not want her or how much he is fighting this because of where they are at in their respective positions in life

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Part of his pushing her away is due to the teacher/student aspect, part because she is that Insufferable Know-It-All, Potter-brat's best friend, way-to-much-like-me kid... well you understand. (at least that is what I see is going on) The big problem as he sees it is that he does want her! Have you noticed that HE was the one that is making her take Calming Draught and Mind-Calrity Potions? (Do you really think Hermine needs Mind-Clarity Potion?) Poor Severus, he doesn't realize it's hopless to fight it...

Lovely chapter.  I look forward to each update.

Hmmm, interesting twists and turns. So the two of them being drawn into the room means they are supposed to be together.... I wonder how Severus feels about being the soulmate of the Gryffindor Know-it-all!

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Yep, take a wild guess, and did you really expect me to answer? It will be explained and exposed (in more ways than one) as the story progresses and so do the relationships – both: Lily and Severus as well as Hermione and Professor Severus Snape.
Thank you very much for the review. I hope you like the rest of the story as it unfolds.

10/10

Shadow

One thing that disturbs me slightly is that Severus and Hermione seem to be going through almost the same thing (Windowsil, knickers) as Severus and Liliy did. However, Hermione seems to be responding much more eagerly than Liliy did. I also cant figure out if Severus wants Hermione to return or not. he seems eager for her, but implores her not to return....All in all, another truly brilliant chapter!

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you very much for the nice review. Unfortunately, I can’t exactly answer that right now – but I promise you will be answered shortly. I am writing this in a time-bounce style, to show the difference/contrast between young Severus and Lily, and mature Professor Severus Snape and Hermione, but also to show how things are repeating for Severus. Yes, the relationship with Hermione is nearly déjà vu for Severus, but not exactly, because they are different, (Hermione is not Lily, and Severus is more mature now). Plus, we already know from canon what happens between Lily and young Severus (somewhat).

It’s all explained as the story progresses… and yes, so will things.

*Wipes away the drool*I cant help but wonder if the couple have to go further each time to get out of the room, or if Severus is taking advantage of having a clever, pretty, willing witch that is prepared to go further each time...And heres hoping Hermione takes a liking to skirts!!

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Really great start to this story.I love how you run the paralels between the two times. We seem to see a complete other side to Snape when he is around Lily.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you. that was exactly what I was going for in doing a time-bounce style, being not only to see the difference between young Severus and mature Professor Severus Snape, but also to show how things repeat between the couples. The relationship with Hermione is nearly déjà vu for Severus.

I am quite eager to learn what Severus wants to say to Hermione. We all know that his relationship did not end perfectly with Lily, so maybe the room was responsible for that. Even if they never go into the tower room again, I hope Hermione convinces Severus to continue their relationship. Obviously there must be something between them if the Grey Lady's enchantments did not keep them away from each other.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you for the review.

You have this backward – the room didn’t have anything to do with Severus and Lily breaking up, his choices did. However, the tower room did bring them into a relationship. I’ll explain that as we go along in the story. (Actually I’ve already written that chapter. he he) As for Hermione and Snape, you’ll see. Just as the tower did before, it’s happening again…

I love the way you've woven in the Bloody Baron and the Grey Lady and their history.  I wonder what on earth Severus thinks he's going to be able to do to fight this?

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

Thank you. I just really loved the tragic love story between the Grey Lady and the Bloody Baron,  and thought it would be fun to twist it in with the tragic story of Severus Snape and Lily Evans. Expect another tragic love story to surface later on. We’ll see if you catch the implications of it. As for Severus, he can try to fight this but he’s in for a few surprises.
