Teenage Severus Snape and Lily find a room in the castle with a partially hidden staircase that leads them up to a private room at the top of a tower that even the Marauders don't know about.
Then twenty years later, Hermione Granger finds the room. Suddenly she’s confronted by Severus Snape, who’s always considered tower room to be his own private little nook, finds herself not only under the rooms spell, but must now meet the conditions of the room with the one professor that has always been her biggest enigma.

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein

Reviews for The Enchanted Tower Room
I thought this was just the most perfect phrase "returning again to the tower room, praying that he wouldn’t be there, hoping that he would" Hermione does not seem to be able to articulate her thoughts, is there some magic going on? or is it just lust clouding her mind?
I swear I turned into a puddle when Severus asked her to wear a skirt. Oh MY !!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Yes, there is. Just as Lily wasnt able to articulate her thought as to why, neither can Hermione. Its part of the spells that have to be broken through but no, its not just lust clouding her mind
Oh I like the way this is jumping back and forth through time. Also I am most impressed with adult Severus using the room to get himself a smooch! Very sneaky!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you very much. Im having fun typing the two years conceding with each other like this. Although, I dont think hes using the room to get a smooch he simply knows that he cant leave the room unless he does Remember, hes been trapped in this room before and knows how the spells on the room works. As inappropriate as it is, he HAS to kiss her or he cant leave.
Ah, he should just give in. But is Hermione destined for one of the others? The waters have been muddied.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Dont fret. Ill clear this up in a chapter or two.
first off ~claps and throughs lots of flowers your way~ thank you for updating i've missed this fic
now for the chapter:
a lot is coming clearer. lily is only in it for the pleasure and severus has his heart in it; bad move until you know for sure that your feeling are returned. and his feeling de ja vu means he is feeling something for hermione and is scared that the same will happen again. and hermione has feeling for him and just doesnt get it yet, i think. now this is just what i think so don't hit me over the head too hard. lol they are soul mates (severus and hermione) and that is why they are pulled to the tower. and if they figure it out they will break the curse of the tower
I LOVE THIS STORY
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you. *blushes and bows* I loves flowers! (not roses, daises and anything with petals and no thorns, please!!)
Im not sure that Lily is only in it for the pleasure, but no, she doesnt have the depth of feelings that Severus has for her. Severus fell for Lily really hard, hard enough to brood over her for twenty years! Oh, I got ahead of myself
Dont want to give anything away here! Now twenty years later, Snape finds himself in a relationship (like it or not) with Hermione Granger, and to complicate things, he finds their relationship following a similar pattern that his relationship with Lily took, ( although he is orchestrating the events) so yes, this seems very déjà vu to him. and yes, hes not certain he wants to go through that again. Yes, Hermione has feelings for him, even if she is still not sure why or if they are real yet. So far you are grasping the situation very well. (Nope hitting. It would only break my keyboard! Or my monitor
) The answer is in what the Grey Lady said
and how she said it. So Im gonna just say, youll see.
Im quite flattered that you are enjoying this story. Thank you for the lovely review.
nooo nooo don't stay aweay! please don't stay away. loving this story. thanks and i look forward to more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)

I honestly didn't know how you were going to top last chapter (and the one before and the one before that, lol). Fantastic. I lust for more.
Author's Response: Thank you. I just keep typing away and hope that it comes out all right. Thanks for the compliment!
Oh, Severus is pleading. What is he fearing so much? Would the enchantment married them? I'm not sure he'll be able to disband it BTW.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
This relationship with Hermione has many aspects of what happened between him and Lily. Severus sees what is happening as déjà vu, and hes scared of it. We know from canon what happened between him and Lily and he doesnt want a repeat least of all with Hermione. But no, the spells do not marry you the answer is in what the Grey Lady and the Bloody Baron said

Yeah, an update!
This chapter raises so many more questions. I hope that once they are able to break the curse (and I know they will because this is Severus and Hermione we aare talking about!!) that the feelings they have for each other will continue. And that they will recognize the feelings for what they are!
I love the art!!! =D
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you for the compliment, both on my chapter and my drawing.
The attraction is carrying over, even away from the room, so yes something is there, but neither see it, probably because they think its all because of the spells

He is trying so hard to resist. And she is being such a hormone-bomb teenaged girl about the whole thing. I guess we'll just have to see who out stubborns the other.

Yes, its almost a battle of wits between two well armed individuals!

Interesting chapter. It seems to create more questions than it answers...
I seem to remember in an earlier chapter when Severus is in conversation with the Baron, the Baron tells him not to declare his love if it is not meant to be. Could that possibly be what happened between him and Lily, and why he and Hermione are drawn together.....
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you. You are right about what the Baron said. What the Grey Lady said is also equally important. However, I cant possibly answer your question at this point in the story sorry.

Lily seemed to be more interested in receiving pleasure and less interested in giving pleasure in return. Severus's feelings were obviously much deeper than hers. What young educated woman does not know that her first time will probably involve some pain? That whole encounter seemed off to me and certainly did not convince me that they were a soul mated couple.
Hermione and Severus are another matter. If the room is what drives the behavior, then they should not be behaving the same way out of the room, right? Only they are still having trouble keeping their hands off of each other. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you for the review. You are very perceptive
Yes, Severus feelings do seem more intense than Lilys. I suppose that Lily wasnt aware how much it could hurt first time, but too, Severus is a 17 year-old and a bit too eager. As for soul mates she marries Potter.
With Hermione, Severus thinks hes reliving the same thing, déjà vu practically, with Hermione, but there are differences
big differences. He just isnt acknowledging them.

I love this story! The premise is fascinating, there's an element of mystery, and it has the tortured romance of Snape and Granger. Wonderful!

Hmmm. I wonder what it means that Hermione was able to find the door back in her first year. I'll keep my guesses to myself, but you've definitely got me thinking!
What a shame his first time with Lily went so badly, though that's got to be a more usual first time than most of what we see in romantic fiction.
Lovely artwork, too.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you for the compliment, both for my story and mu drawing. Im glad Ive got you puzzling it out.
Yes, poor Lily, I dont think she expected it to hurt so much and, well, Severus is a 17 year-old guy and possibly a bit too eager
I wanted the first time to be real, not romanticized.

what a story line.......nice art work too!! I really don't want it to be a spell that is drawing them there......hope she returns to the tower soon!

it justs gets curiouser and curiouser. i wonder if hermione will be able to stay away. i wonder what else will happen next!

Thank you. Nope, the tower still pulls her... and as for what happens - I hope to have the next chapter up soon.

It is quite interesting that both Hermione and Severus feel desire for each other when they are not in the Tower Room. Perhaps the room sets a spell on the occupants that last forever? I wonder whether Hermione will stop being compelled to Severus if they have sex in the Tower Room. Maybe a more permanent bonding is needed. Though Hermione is not allowed to go up to the room in the mornings anymore, that doesn't mean she has to stay away from Severus. ;)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Yes, they have a desire for each other even when they are not in the tower. No, the spells on the tower can be broken but I cant say how yet. And do you honestly think that if Hermione and Severus have sex, anywhere, they will be able to keep their hands off each other? She may be told not to go to the tower but she is now spending a lot of time with Severus.

Hmmmm. He hasn't told Hermione not to come up there... I wonder if he's under a similar "urge" to return. I'm hoping he's not confusing her with Lily, though.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Yes, Severus goes up to the tower every morning hes in the castle. He does feel the urge to return as strongly as Hermione does. And no, Severus is not confusing Hermione with Lily. Give the man some credit.

Hmmm... so Hermione first felt the portal with Harry and Ron? But it seems (or maybe jsut wishful thinking) that it's Sev that is her "soulmate"... but then again,,, he went up there with Lily... hmmm.. I have a lot to think on LOL
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Its in what the Grey Lady said: You cannot get onto the stairs unless you are with someone with whom you are meant to be together or unless you are soul mates or are destined for each other, the Grey Lady replied.
I hope this helps, if not it will be explained later... Thank you for the review.

Intriguing beginning. Whatever was Professor Snape doing up in the tower room? Although if the door opens without difficulty when just one person is in it... I like the idea of young Severus sneakily defending Lily without anyone knowing.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you. Youll find out more about why hes up there later on. In regards to Severus defending Lily on the sly hes just using his Slytherin cunning.

Interesting to see how quickly Hermione has begun to enjoy wearing skirts! One way to get out your frustrations: Hit the teacher with the a jinx!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Just as Hermione is feeling compulsion, enticement and allurement to go to the tower, so she is entranced to do what Snape would like. Skirts were his request.
In regards to the jinx, it may have been accidental, but it got his attention!
Thanks for the review.
i like your story so far. it is very creative and i'm curious you see where its going. hope more comes soon!

I love this story! You write so well and I'm captivated. It's as though the room failed the first time to find his soul mate and it's kept him coming back until he does. I'm looking forward to the next installment...

Thank you very much. The question is then – was Lily really Severus’ soul mate? Or just his first big crush/his first love? And are they generally the same things? I mean were the Grey Lady and the Bloody Baron soul mates? “I warn you, speak not of your affections to your love in this room. Leave it well alone, I pray, while you can. Sorrow is what you shall receive. You would do better unrequited and in sorrow.” Or was she simply his obsession?
