I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein

Ok, this is absolutely amazing. The premise is so simple, yet the story is compelling and complicated. The dual time-lines and the comparisons are wonderful and steamy.
So far, I get the impression that things did not end well for Severus and Lily; the tower room is bad luck? Poor Severus - he's got the cursed DADA position and a cursed room to deal with.
Looking forward to the next installment.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you. The duel times lines is fun to experiment with and yes, there is a definite and purposeful comparison between them. The events unfold the same, but there are differences. The room itself isn’t bad luck – per se. It’s Cursed, yes, but it’s curses were designed to ensnare the heart of your true love – however, that’s not how it’s working precisely. There are more than a few spells, curses and enchantments on the room – and a few surprises planned. Which I can’t say right now. As for Severus and Lily – she married James Potter. Need I suggest more?
Thank you again for the kind review.

Oh, the beginning of explanations. Hermione now knows that Severus must be her wand-mate. I am curious to see how she justifies returning to the room, armed with this knowledge.
Can't wait for the next update!
And thank you for not having the Baron speak in Anglo-Norman french.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
You are quite welcome. I tried playing with the Baron's speech and went back and changed it. Made things easier.I will hopefully be able to update soon.
Oh my Lord am I in love with this.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Geeze. *blushes* Well, thank you very much.
That was hot, but he really doesn't want to think this might be real, does he?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you. No he doesn't seem to does he? Of course, he's been burned before... so that has everything to do with it. He sees his reactions with Hermione as 'done this - shite, not again' in a way. Hermione's actions and his are very simular to Lily's reactions when he was a teenager and in a way he's reminded of her. That is partly why he's so sure of himself when he 'uses' Hermione in the tower... He's already done this, he knows what he has to do. So no, he isn't seeing how much, if any, his actions and his reactions to Hermione are not just cuz of the spells.
Oh, I so wonder what he need's to tell her! Thank you for another amazing chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
You are quite welcome. I hope to have my next one up soon.
What a cliffhanger! UGh! I love the fact that they are drawn to each other even when they aren't in the room. I can't wait till the next chapter!

Thank you. Yes, but is it the spells or something deeper? he he he

I can't wait to see what Snape will reveal. I enjoyed getting to see them talk about this outside of the room. I can't wait to see how this progresses.

Thank you. I've given a tiny sneak peek hidden in one reveiw. (my first one) My beta has my next chapter already, so now starts the clean up and correctons - then I'll post. I'm glad you're enjoying my story.

This is so intriguing. They are each so drawn to the other that they can't keep their lips off each other. What happened to Hermione's ability to articulate? Surely she could have explained her reasons for returning to the room better than "I don't know."
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Thank you very much. Sorry about the indecisiveness, it’s part of the effect of the spells… neither girl can articulate why they want to go to the tower room. Whenever Severus asks Lily, she can’t articulate her reasons, she stammers and responds indecisively.
Twenty years later Hermione is doing the same thing, and Severus knows, recognizes the effects – he’s been through this before. That’s one of the reasons he’s so determined to drive Hermione away – although he can’t – because to him everything is repeating itself only this time with Hermione. I hope that this clears things up.

If what is going on with them in that room is from the curses, why do they still want each other outside of the room? I thought it was only in the tower.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
You can't posibly expect me to answer that question so soon - can you? It'll be answered, eventually. Actually the answer has already been given, only neither Hermione and Sanpe or Lily and Severus realize it yet...

Is there something else about the room we don't know about?
I understand Severus's reluctance, but I wonder if the room would bring together people who aren't meant to be.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
I've given you huge clues to the spells on the room and how it works, however, yes, there is a little you don't know yet... but it is revealed. Severus and Lily may have been meant to be, but choices can change our destiny. Likewise, with Harry, on the day of his Sorting his choice may have altered something about him, his destiny, just as it might have for Hermione. (Didn't the Sorting Hat consider putting her in Ravenclaw? Why didn't it?) If the allure is for people who are meant to be together, it maybe that our choices can change what is destined - alter the outcome. And who is to say how you'd react if you ever did meet your soul mate - especially if that person wasn't who you thought it would/should be?
Response from septentrion (Reviewer)
I would need to recognise him as my soul mate first :D As I'm the kind of girl to miss what's under my nose, I'm afraid I'd loose my chance at happiness.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Geeze! I'm sorry. Of course I'm like you. It took me months to realize my boyfriend even wanted to go out with me in the first place! Some of need bricks - not hints! Sound familiar...?

can it be that i've been following this story without reviewing? it appears so. bad kitty! this installment is forcing me to try to find some words. and the first word is - WOW!!!honestly, i'm a little ambivalent sometimes about the student/teacher thing, which is probably why i was kind of holding back, but i'm totally hooked on ss/le, so that's what attracted me to this story. and now i'm completely caught up in it, hook, line and sinker. you are doing a very artful job of drawing the parallels between the two couples. and the way you write older snape, trying to do the right thing and push her away, even under the compulsion of the curses and things - i'm always a sucker for honorable-albeit-still-snarky snape, and you are writing him quite well.mostly, i just wanted to say, can't wait for the next, when we get to find out what severus will tell her. snape letting down his hair a bit? what could be better than that!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Kittylefish, Thank you for the review. Don’t pull a house-elf, I don’t demand reviews. I love getting them – but it’s okay, I’ll live. *snicker* If I was going to do a teacher/student relationship I was determined that Hermione be 17, and that the ethics be expressed, at least a little, not drudging on for chapters and chapters. I know I’m doing just that but he’s caving in more and more… But the prompt said SS/LE and twenty years later… So here I am typing away! I’m glad you are seeing the parallels in the relationships, but as the story goes on things grow/alter/change. I’m not going to say how. I’ll tell you in due time, though, I promise.I am also trying to keep my 17 year-old Severus as a completely different character as Snape at 37, same guy different stages in life. I’m also a sucker for honorable-albeit-still-snarky Snape! That’s part of his appeal to me – I hate sappy Snape. Thanks for the compliment on my characterization, it means a lot. I’ve sent my fabulous beta, the terrific XXX (I can’t put her name in here sorry) the next chapter so as soon as I get it back with all my mistakes circled I can fix, correct and post! But it’s typed! Also if you like being teased, check out my first review! It’s a hint of what’s coming… just a hint.Glad you enjoy, From me.

I'm intrigued what is dear Severus going to tell Hermione. Will he confess all about Lilly...........or will he be man enough to tell Hermione how she makes him feel.I know he's in a precarious position but man I love how you are weaving this story. You have captured my interest hook, line and sinker. Congrats on the writting. Anticipating the next chapter........Savine x

Just read Ferv's review and have to say I agree with her....I think I would have shot up those stairs too. Sod the house points.......mind you Severus is "awakening" Hermione to the fact she is becoming a woman so her reponse was in character...........
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Savine, Thank you for the review. I appreciate the compliment on my writing style. You've made me blush! I dont want to give too much away, but no, he's not ready yet to tell her about Lily. He's much too private of a guy for that - just yet. He's also dealing with professional ethics here, something Hermione is pushing him to overstep... I suggest you bounce up and peek at my first review - just a HUGE hint, although it's a bit more of a tease really. hugs, from me! (You know I can't say who yet!)

You're doing great! no need to rush things--- rushing a muse is like choking a chicken... the end result can be messy! (( I can't believe I just said that!!)) I may not be leaving reviews each update but I am still following-- ardently! ;-)

Why, thank you. I appreciate the reveiws you do leave. I'm actually working on chapter 12, and it seems that this story has a bit more to it than I orginally thought I would have. Hope you all don't mind that I added more to the storyline, but my muse is having a field day with this one and she's so happy I'm letting her out to play.

Oooh...I wonder what Severus has to say? It's all very intriguing! She's doing better than me, I would've been up in that room in a flash ;)

I think I could sell tickets to that room. LOLI won't give much away, but here is a teaser for you...Her eyes flicked from his lips back up to his eyes. “Then why do you go back up there?” she asked, bewildered that he’d return to a room so frequently if he knew it’d been cursed. His eyes flicked back to her face. “The room holds fond memories for me. It’s been a place of solitude and serenity for me for years. I knew of the curses on the room but assumed that they only activated when I was in the room with someone else, someone of the opposite sex.” His dark eyes were riveted on her soft brown ones as his index fingers moved across his lower lip, making Hermione’s pulse quicken.

GUH! *fans self* Very hot scene there at the end. Your older Snape has turned into a very confident lover. My only concern though is that since he has 'been' here before that he is confusing Hermione for Lily. I hope he sees her as herself and someone worthy of his affections (and not just in the room either). I also have a suspicion about the tea, are the house-elves in on this? Maybe spiking her tea with something that compels her to go to the room? I am really enjoying this story and can't wait for the next update. You write very believable smut, my dear Author!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
I’m very glad you like this little smut piece. To answer you, no Professor Snape’s not confusing Hermione with Lily, although he does know more about the rooms enchantments (in his opinion – curses) than Hermione does (and certainly more than young Severus and Lily had), simply because he’s been through this before. As the story progresses you will see why, I don’t want to say anything now. In regards to his affections – for now he is both using her and ensnared and seduced by the spells from the tower – again. I will make that become clearer later. Underneath the smut there is a story unfolding, and some things not revealed as of yet.
As for the tea. Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe is a favorite tea of my best friend and I often drink Broken Pekoe (which I called Broken Orange Pekoe for clarity although those who know the brand will cringe). It’s just a nod to my friend who introduced this tea to me ages ago, (and does not get into Potterverse as much as I do sadly.) No, the house-elves are merely trying to please the Professor of Potions by making his favorite blend for him every morning in hopes that he might have a nice morning and not be unhappy. Just as Kippi does to make Hermione happy – he stops his cleaning to get her tea, simply because she asked for it while Kippi was in the room. Nah, house-elves just want to please, do a good job and occasionally play while they work – as I see them.
I’m very flattered by your kind words. Thank you very much. Have a great New Year.
What a *clever* idea! I really enjoy this story. I can't wait for the next update.

Incredibly steamy - please Hermione go back to the room... This is a good one :-)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Enchanted Tower Room)
Do not worry she will! Thank you for your review. I'm happy you are enjoying this little smut.
