I liked the chapter and I wonder what the parchment said that freaked him out so - the part with the goblin tour was interesting - good chapter

I love that you did something different with Severus.  I've enjoyed many stories that portray him as the snarky, dark man we all know and love, but you've really come up with a great idea to get something new out of his character.  I can't wait to finish (this highly recommended) story!!!

Nicely done. I like Severus' patronus arguing with Dumbledore, and Poppy fussing over Snape, who stoically takes it without complaint. LOL. I also like Harry's calm point of order about where Severus is to live. He shows such maturity!

I'm not keen on Hestia Jones, although I see why you needed her, It just seems... well, she's the only "good" character who isn't likeable, and that makes me wonder whether you're foreshadowing, or putting her attitude in so that no one else would have to voice complaints against Severus... narrow down the bad vibes, like. *shrug*

And finally the truth is laid out! Harry is a horcrux. I imagine he won't be happy about that news.

Ouuuuuu Harry is the 7^th horcrux just like in book 7. Great minds think alike! Cant we just use plastic surgery to remove? I enjoyed the banter between Harry and Severus once the living arrangements were made. My favorite line was “After all, Severus, we’ve managed not to kill each other so far. It should be loads easier now that you aren’t absolutely barking”

Ah . . . 2 chapters . . . . I am so happy . . . thank you . . . when Snape told Harry how kind he was, I cried . . . simply brilliant!

I have been reading fan-fiction for at least 2 years and this is the first review I've ever written. ( I'm not very good with the computer, nor am I an author.)  The idea for this story is so original and I love the way you developed the character of mad Snape.  This is by far my favorite story.  Ever!!!!  I am very glad your muse has returned and can't wait to see how it ends.  Thanks for writing and entertaining us.   Jaden   

You are amazing, the story is amazing, the update was amazing, and I love it all:-)) You would not know how grateful I was to see an update of your story, and so well timed, nothing could be better to shorten the time waiting for book7 to be released!  My over all favourite and most loved HG/SS story has always been "In Annulo" by Ladyofthemasque, but there is no doubt that "The Price of Madness" are very close to take the top placement and for anyone who knows how much I love "In Annulo" would know what kind of compliment that is. Your story is of such quality that JKR her self should be vary of the competition:-)) Just promise me that if JKR does something stupid in her book, like not redeaming Severus and/or let him die, that you will still finish your story the way it has been so far? And, don't you dare kill Severus in the final battle even if JKR should do something that stupid? I know that as much as I look forward to start reading DH in a few hours, just as much do I look forward for your adding of the last chapter to this fantastic story so I can start reading it all over again, this time from start to finish in one sitting!!! Keep up the wonderful work, I am a bit scared of what JKR migth do in her final book so I keep all my faith in the talented fanfiction authors out there to redeam what JKR migth do wrong:-))
