Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

little boys and their clubs! but it did bring tears to my eyes. loved the line about being metaphorically peed on! brilliant update. thanks and mucho smoochies

Exactly!! So glad you liked it!
The new brand is interesting. Probably a good thing that they are all a bit different, unlike the Dark Mark.I'm glad to see Snape shake Viktor's hand without a scene. But I agree with Peaches' assessment. Hermione has definitely been marked by Snape.Love this story.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so much! I think as much as they are finally on the right track, the younger men would still want some kind of status symbol to make them feel good about themselves and boost their egos. Boy with toys, and all that...
oh thank gods their fight wasn't as awful as I thought it would be!! but it was still very raw, and completely fit with all that they'd been through that day.the leomn was amazing, as usual ^^loved it!!!!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I am so glad! The next chap should be up soon!
now there's something to think about.just get them to talk already for god's sake!!!anyway, great work as usual ;)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I promise they will get a chance to talk, just as soon as one last thing is taken care of. I can't promise it won't be at the top of their lungs...
<i>"Oh, well then. Let me tell you just how thrilled I am to have you sound just like a battered wife."</i>Ouch.Surely someone's going to see that Severus is nearly blind with jealousy about Viktor and either clue Hermione in (who appears to be completely missing it) or Severus (who's reading entirely too much into Viktor and not enough into Hermione)?
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Soon. They are both too naive to understand what's happening, but all is not quite what we see, either.
"Oh, well then. Let me tell you just how thrilled I am to have you sound just like a battered wife." He turned and stomped off down the hall, and I followed behind. His words had struck a chord of truth and I didn't like it at all.Well, I don't like that either. And usually I would say she should get out while she can. But in this case, I really do think this is such an extreme, unusual situation, and they really are under so much stress that who can blame any of them for overreacting to their emotions. I have a feeling that if Severus had someone to confide in as Hermione did in Charlie, it would be the same conversation of whether she really wanted him and still would after things settle down. They won't know for sure if things can work out for them until they find themselves in a normal situation.I like a good dose of angst as think it is good for their relationship. But hopefully they will get a chance to talk alone soon (talk and whatever else they'd like to do) and can sort things out. It won't be easy, but I think the relationship is important to both of them and hopefully that will be enough to keep them trying. As always, can't wait to see where we go from here.

Thank you for your wonderful review! The next chapter was just added to the queue, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long! It's hard to keep in mind that these chapters are all happening on the same day, but you;re right. They definitely need to have a long talk. Until that happens, they are both in danger of ruining this fragile thing they have found.
Hi, I just found your story 2 days back, and sadly, I already caught up. It's such an exciting read! You've got a very clear understanding of the group dynamics. I'm still totally at a loss who might be betraying them, although I fear that you've planted the seed already somewhere. Don't make it a big loss, please. They've been through too much as it is. Also the personal conflicts show very well. Severus hates Viktor's closeness to Hermione, but H hasn't figured this out yet. Viktor is indeed being possessive beyond normal. What's Ma doing with Severus?? Protecting Hermione, or following her own interest? He's one of very few she didn't have as her own client, and I'm sure she remembers that. Waiting anxiously for your next chapter!!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you very much for your review! I hope to have the next chapter posted very soon!
EXCELLENT!!!!you have to love the green-eyed monster....I llok forward to reading the next chapter....
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the update, I must say it was well worth the wait. I hate that Hermione and Severus are at odds with each other because they are both so jealous. I hope this tension between them doesn't last, it's beginning to give me angst.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I'm terribly sorry for the wait. I am posting them as soon as I get them back from the beta, but she is a busy lady.
Oh, dear. Misunderstandings abound. You really know how to torture the poor sods! :P
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Yup, and I'm not done. :)
yike! that didn't sound too good, did it? of course, sev overheard the last part of that talk. great update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thanks for the review! The next chapter will be up as soon as it comes back from the beta, I promise!
Oh dear. First Viktor, now Charlie. Snape must have overheard her last words to him as they emerged from a "business" room. I assume that he assumed the worst.Hope someone talks some sense into him soon. Charlie, perhaps?
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I suspect neither man would welcome such a conversation at this point. Remember, this is only a couple of hours after they were staring death at each other across the ballroom floor...
Charlie's got a point there, seriously though, its time she called Sev on the carpet for these antics-- or its time for some serious angry sex with lots of make-up lemons for round 2.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
As you command, so it shall be. One more chap to twist the screw tighter first...
EXCELLENT!!!!!
I look forward to reading future chapters.....
I get the feeling that he is in a snit because she was being so friendly with Viktor. Just like she had lead in her gut when he went upstairs with Ma.
Many intersting developments. Can't wait for more.
I am so anxious for the next update!! I really love how this story is unfolding, and I am seriously hoping that Viktor doesn't cause too much trouble between Hermione and Severus!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
So glad you are enjoying! One can only hope...
It's good to see them get organized. Hermione and Severus need to have a talk about the jealousy they are both experiencing and get over it fast, so they can concentrate on whats important, overthrowing the Dark Lord.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
The long time between updates tends to mess with the fact that these chaps and the next two, all happen on the same, long, stressful day. A talk would be the mature thing to do. However, we're not dealing with the most emotionally sophisticated people here...
Bravi, Bravi, Bravissima!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Grazie, grazie mille!
can anyone spell "jealousy"? XDcan't wait to see how these arrangements will turn out!!please update soon!!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Updates as fast as possible! I'm glad you are enjoying this!
It will be infinitely harder to defeat Voldemort if those on the same side-the leaders no less-are at odds. I assume that he saw Viktor being friendly with Hermione. A little jealousy is not necessarily a bad thing, but they need to work things out before they can concentrate on fighting other battles. I am super anxious to see how this all turns out!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I agree. But working through these issues is difficult for the emotionally mature. At this point, neither of them is all that spiffy in that department to begin with...
Response from HBAR (Reviewer)
Oh dear...
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Indeed...
Somebody is jealous... ;)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Green-eyed and everything...
LOL, gotta love Peaches!Severus is jealous isn't he? I'm guessing he saw her and Viktor talking.Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I do adore Peaches. I think that's the first time I've loved a character I made up as much as the canon characters!Yup, Severus has issues, to say the least.
oh, severus. never an easy man. terrific update. mucho smoochies and thanks
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
So glad you enjoyed!
Beautiful chapter! I love how she uses Peaches words to get their support!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you! She had no choice but to step up. Peaches pushing her to take charge of the girls, definitely helped pave the way.
wow, just wow. what a phenominal story this is. i am sorry about minerva not reconcilling with severus, tho. faboo update and mucho smoochies
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
