Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

We are so close now *bites fingernails* Hopefully determination, strong leadership, and the element of surprise will be enough to win this thing. I look forward to the day when Severus and Hermione can properly spend some time together.

...and luck. You forgot luck.
Wow. I write that a lot. I apologize. I am so excited to see how the second final battle plays out

The final showdown is in the queue.
Just read through the whole thing. Great piece of work, glad you're keeping up with it. I remember starting it a while back and was happy to see a whole lot more when I wandered into TPP this morning.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you! I'm trying to get the last bit up as fast as possible, to try and keep the pacing of the story, but there are lots of great fics hitting the archives now, so the queue is mighty full!
OOOOOhhhhh. Evil cliffie. Have I mentioned that I like your characterizations? That I like the way you give these big bad Death Eaters a soft and relate-able underbelly? I can't wait for the next chapter!Go writer! Go!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so much! I lub ebil cliffies. I have more for you...

Thank you! the next one is in the queue!
You are a genius, thanks for another wonderful chapter.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Why, thank you ma'am! :)
Fabricating prophecies is so much fun! I can just hear Snape reciting it and trying to fake a Bulgarian accent. So mysterious. But an attack in two weeks! Oh dear. I hope they know what they're doing.I await the next installment on pins and needles.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
More coming soon! I am so glad you like it!
This has me very excited and very nervous for the battle that is coming soon. I would be willing to bet that Severus would never ask the girls to cover for Hermione, but was relieved beyond belief that it is happening. The prophecy is a great idea and I hope it works in their favor. I, like Hermione, was a bit concerned that it might point to her. I am very glad that they were able to spend some quality time together, even if it was brief. Looking forward to more.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
We're gearing up for the final sprint, now. More quality time in the next chap and then there's no stopping this train...

Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Hehe. I was going to say it was a plan so cunning you could pin a tail on it and call it a weasel, but I didn't know it you knew the reference! :)

>waves a turnip
LOL--- EXCELLENTI look forward to reading the next chapters as they come out.....
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you! more coming soon!
Just curious, but I thought Voldemort believed Severus to be celibate? But from part of their conversation it sounded like Voldemort had seen Severus and Hermione together (which I thought they were hiding) through legilimency.
I really love this story btw, great work! I'm very excited for the next update.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Voldemort is aware that Hermione and Severus had sex the night that Macnair dragged him up stairs, back in the third chapter. Snape later explains that he had to submit to a rather intense interogation in order to regain Voldie's trust. Therefore, Vo' knows Snape has had sex, and in ordering Snape to investigate HG and the House in general, Snape assumes Vo' will want to look at his memories again. I do hope this helps. More in the next chap...
Response from BellatrixLives (Reviewer)
Alright, I got it. I wasn't thinking that far back.
Super excited for next chp :D
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Honestly? I had to go back and check, I got confused myself.
"I think you've just been metaphorically peed on"
LMAO
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
All the men and their posturing were funny; they reallynever do grow up completely. It's getting quite excitingnow - the wands mean that things are getting serious from here on.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Boys will be boys... We're gearing up for the final sprint now...
Really, truly this is one of the best stories in fandom. What a plot! The characters are so well-drawn, the situations so believable. Excellent! I am on the edge of my seat to sEe what happens next.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I am tickled that you like my story! THank you for your lovely reviews!
I know that before long this will come to and end and I am dreading it, though I am excited to see if all my favorite characters make it safely through the end. This type of fic is usually not my cup of tea but I am so glad I read past that first chapter, it has been well worth it.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I am thrilled that you enjoy my story so much! It will be sad for me when it is done, because I enjoy your reviews so much.
Response from pearl city princess (Reviewer)
Awwwww Thank you!
As with all great stories, I am so anxious to get to the end, just to make sure everything turns out ok, but then the nearer we get, the more I dread the end of things.Man, Severus is jealous. I can appreciate his feelings, but hopefully once they are together on a regular basis, and life is more normal, they will build enough trust that he can back off a bit. I love Peaches and her metaphorical peeing comment. She is fun, as always.I love the idea of the officially reformed Death Eaters and their tribubte to Harry Potter. And with all that is going on, Goyle is excited about a new toy. Priceless, but so typical of men everywhere, every age.
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I am so glad you liked it. I think Severus is, indeed, a little unsure of how deal with percieved threats. This isn't an area he has experience on the winning side of. But he's a smart man and she's made sure he understands she's in it for the long haul. Don't worry about the end, we've actually only just passed the halfway point.
Response from HBAR (Reviewer)
I'm an equal mixture of surprise and extreme joy that there is so much more of this tale to go! YAY!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Okay, I'm a dork. I'm posting this on another forum as well, and THAT one just passed halfway. Here, we have exactly ten more chapters to go. But that is still a lot, yes?
sometimes i just love peaches
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Isn't she great? She was my first original character and ever though I based her on a friend, she grabbed the script and wrote herself.
Hmmm... I don't know why I didn't review this before. I guess I got sidetracked. Anyhow, it was intense, but amazingly beautiful. I think it is a good thing that they were not in control of their emotions. It really helped them cut to the heart of the matter. Although I almost fell out of my chair when he called her a whore. Well, there is another chapter waiting for me so off I go...
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
The template I used for a cornered, angry Snape was when he called Lily a Mudblood. I figured he was trying to hurt her and so would do so again. Since he is older and wiser, if caught in an emotional vortex, it would only take him a nanosecond to realize he had just screwed the pooch big time. Poor man. I have no idea why I am so mean to him. I adore him. really, I do.
I got impatient and found the rest. You had me crying from about this point straight through until the end. I have to say that the vows you wrote for Severus and Hermione to exchange touched me deeply, if I ever change my mind and end up marrying I can see myself digging this fic out and basing my own pledge on them. This fic has just flat out been amazing - I'm an utter whimp about darkfic and usually stop reading at the slightest hint, but the strength of your writing compelled me to keep with it and I'm very glad that I did. The arcs and pacing are perfect, all the characterisation is spot on (with the caveat that as an Australian, Britpicking isn't my forte, mongrel hybrid that I am), and I honestly can't find a fault. I hope you enjoyed writing this as much as I did reading it, and I greatly look forward to seeing more fics from you in the future :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Thank you so very much. all of my stories are slowly moving to this forum in their final, polished and beta'd form, and I have at least two brand new stories as well.I am thrilled you enjoyed this one so much. It was my first drama, and my first multi chap, so it is my favorite.
Give a boy a costume and a fancy name and he's a happy lad! :)
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
Boys with toys... :)
Great chapter! Love Krum's protectiveness to ensure her future welfare and happiness. Looking forward to seeing the fight!
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
I think Viktor (and Charlie, for that matter) came off very well. I ended up liking that Bulgarian so much more after this story. Such a nice boy...
EXCELLENT!!!!!I look forward to reading future chapters.....
Response from Aurette (Author of The Princess of Gryffindor)
More is coming! This story is almost completely beta'd, so it is only a matter of how fast the chapters move through the queue. I hope you enjoy them all!
