Reviews for The Godfather
I think at this moment Severus may be feeling even a little proud of the insufferable know it all. It seems all he wanted her to do was think outside of the box or books in this case. Well Done. Irish
I wonder what he has to say about Miss Granger...one would hope given how he is trying to be amenable it would be pleasant, but then I might be Rowena Ravenclaw too! Well done. Irish
"Uncomfortable with her tears?" How different their lives could have been from this moment on had Severus been able to reach beyond the walls he has built. I think he built his walls out of self preservation, but now what does he have? Well done. Irish
I think the one thing that turned the tides was the child's name. Severus seems to want to reach out to the Potter's young son, but is not quite sure how to do it. Maybe he sees this as his chance to do things right...to be a positive guiding influence in someone's life rather than the feared one. Well done. Irish
Granted it takes bravery to confront the man in his own den, but honestly the way Hermione is working Severus I think she should have been sorted into Slytherin! Well done. Irish

Perhaps her so-called "blood status" was the only thing that kept the Sorting Hat from doing just that...
Great chapter, so, has he seen it already?? I'm excited!!!gab
Another great chapter. This is a very interesting story, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Another WONDERFUL chapter and awful cliffhanger!!!

"She felt them coming from some dark and secret place deep down inside, and she asked herself whether she ought to have said something. Maybe, she thought, her voice would have been like a piece of cloth wiping the dirt off a grimy window, to let a thin but precious ray of sunshine into the darkness that was his life."These words were so profound, and so beautifully constructed. I hope that Hermione manages to explain her entrance satisfactorily to Snape. A lovely chapter, as usual. This is one of the very best stories I have ever read.

Thank you very much for your praises, which confirm that I was right to translate this one... Marisol forever!

yay.
Oh snap! This is goiing to be awkward. I can't wait to see how Hermione handles this one. However, it should make Snape feel good that she has indignation for people saying mean things about him.Great chapter!Livvy
What a wonder full amazing story. I enjoyed there first time together. It's a wonderful chapter I lOst a lot a sleep last. Night and this morning. Thank for Such a believable story. You pegged Severus in the most realistic way I have ever seen. I'm glad he can finally love.
Awesome story. I'm amazed i can still find so many amazing pieces. Looking forward to more.
Oh, poor Severus. And poor Hermione. Fascinating story.
I think Hermione know him better than he knows himself. Nicely written!
Severus is being really evil...an eye for an eye so to speak.
I can't believe I missed all these updates! I love the direction the story has gone. Snape is not a pleasant person, and he has suffered so much in life that it would have to show in his actions should he have survived. Well done!
Looking forward to more - that last line floored me! Brilliant writing

Due to a stupid mistake of mine (I lost an email by ladyinthecloak), your long wait will be awarded with 2 chapters at a time, soon.
Wow! I'm so grateful that your wrote this and that Muggline translated it! Thanks to you both! very powerful stuff here. I think you are doing a good job keeping Snape in character.
i've been meaning to read this for a while, and am glad i'm finally getting around to it. very powerful stuff! this snape is very believable, albeit kind of scary. i like how baby albus severus managed to melt his heart a little. *adds to favorites*
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Whoa. Hermione really got to him with that one. Sheesh. That was brutally truethful. I think that is why JKR killed his charater. It would have been too sad to let him go on and I don't know if he could have ever healed. This makes me really wonder about Dumbledore. If Snape and Dumbledore and Harry had all come out of the war alive would Dumbledore have ever spoke to either of them again or would he have cast them both asside after they served their purpose.Think about it. He let Nicholas Flamell die, He didn't defend Sirius black, really he only helps people who will help him with his cause. He saved Trelawney because he didn't want Voldemort to get his hands on her. Has he ever really just done something good for somone that didn't benifit his cause?
Response from Muggline (Author of The Godfather)
Well, as we say in Germany: "Mr. Would Have and Mr. Might never win anything in life".Personally, I'd rather stick to thinking that he would probably gather them all around, be happy that they made it through and maybe even apologize.JKR already wrote (end of book 5 I guess) that he admits having made a mistake by leaving Harry in the dark. He is not a saint, you know.
I am glad that Ron has moved on and isn't upset with Hermione anymore. Perhaps Hermione will now be able to move on with her life and find another someone - hopefully Severus.I wonder how long Severus is planning on staying at the Potter house. Hopefully long enough that Hermione and Severus can get to know each other better. Maybe then they'll want to spend time together outside of their time with the Potters.
ahh the biological clock ticks in witches too LOL
This is developing nicely.
Snape at his snapiest, that really made for a nice start! And then he's melting at the sight of about 7 pounds of new life put in his hands -- so great!I'm glad that you didn't have to "kill" Ron or turn him into a git. I'm more lucky than some and can continue reading in German--yea!! I'll go there right now rather than wait. This said, I fully agree with your notion about the extra-hard work a beta has to do for us non-native authors. a toast to the brave souls bearing with us!
